  1. Past hour
  2. Good question. Why don't Poole prepare an awesome track? We could start a Go Fund Me page to buy Poole some shale maybe?
  3. I understand Poole want to keep winning, as that brings the fans in. But I don't feel it's a choice of poor track = winning, good track = losing. Poole have the strongest team, so why not prepare an awesome track for the fans to enjoy, while winning?
  4. Quite a bit to unpack here: do you think the money that BSN pays tracks makes a material difference? In the best Sky years it was just over £100k a club but now? Maybe £8k. Boycott away but it won’t change anything. Secondky, clubs that take the mic? In what way? Poole supply a style of entertainment for their fans that seems to work. And, regardless of what people might like to say, winning is entertainment. Demolishing the opposition even more so. The co-promoters make a living from speedway - are they unique in UK? - so they’re also happy. Finally, what’s Morris got to do with it? He is CEO of the Premiership, something that should be clear to all. Whether that means the Championship don’t want him or the other way round, I don’t know.
  5. The BSN have no control over how tracks are prepared. If you chose not to subscribe & only watch BSN matches at tracks you feel are decent, then the clubs you feel deserve it, will be "hit in the pocket". Your choice obviously, but why hinder other clubs because you feel Poole have poor track preparation? If anyone bought the single match pass for yesterday, I feel you can't complain, you should know how slick & dusty the meeting was likely to be.
  6. What’s BSN got to do with how Teams prepare tracks they provide a standard service to all tracks during the season.Hitting Clubs on the pocket closes them down these days.Silly statement IMO.
  7. If the tapes go up at 5 and Push the meeting on, it should be ok, but Ben fund collection to fit in as well. Take her brolly as I'm doing a rain dance as I'm away 😜😄🔵⚪🏁
  8. Whether its 40-38 or more in my case 49-47, a close meeting does add something extra but it can stressful too, and going home after a defeat always was a bit of downer because every season my hope was that little Arena Essex would at least win their home meetings because I knew success on the road would be rare. Take out the aggregate bonus point though and that changes the dynamic completely, scrapping a home win means a lot more, and remember when they were giving extra points for winning at home by more than six? I recall the late Jon Cook saying that often made narrow home wins feels like you lost.
  9. Need to start boycotting BSN who give money to tracks like this, I am not giving money to clubs who constantly take the mic anymore, I am done, I would sooner buy a few streams from Belle Vue and watch that even though it would be a lot less value for money. It the only way, hit clubs in the pocket, the BSPA wont do anything neither will Phil Morris it seems.
  10. I agree. My old mate Bryn Williams (RIP) once said to me that he couldn't understand fans anymore, clapping their hands off watching 5-1 after 5-1. [BTW you're showing your age with those meeting scores!]
  11. And on, and on, and on, the farce goes... Nothing changes does it?... Apart from less people attending obviously.,
  12. Today
  13. That's the reason it's a 5pm start to allow extra time to drive from a southern airport arrival.. but probably a guest fest for the other missing riders. And they wonder why fans are pissed off
  14. I do believe it, I’ve been there, I have prepped a couple of tracks over the years and have been in enough meetings to know how riders moan, the riders are the first to moan about the tyres not up to the job but you put dirt and water down which would help the tyres and they moan cause the engines which “they” choose don’t like it, this is why the dictatorship that is riders running the sport for the riders needs to stop
  15. It is the same for both teams though, surely the away side should have got their set ups right after a couple of rides but it was the end of the meeting where we really put them to the sword. The scale of the win is due to Poole being a much better team. I do agree more water should be used to keep the dust down for the spectators.
  16. Sunday’s matches line-ups 3rd/4th place 1st leg Leszno v Lublin start time 4pm UK time Leszno 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Lublin 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Grand final 1st leg Torun v Wroclaw start time 6.30pm UK time Torun 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Wroclaw 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
  17. It’s the scale of the wins, not the pure fact of winning. Surely more fans would prefer to see a 40-38 than a 60-18?!?
  18. Another of Speedway's problems its like charging you the price for a quality beef burger but when the product turns up you find you have been served a spam fritter.
  19. Sunday’s Play-down Semi 2nd leg start time 11.30am UK time Ostrow v Krosno (41-49) Ostrow 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Krosno 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Sunday’s play-off final 2nd leg start time 1.45pm UK time. Bydgoszcz v Poznan (45-45) Bydgoszcz 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Poznan 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
  20. Final in Vojens next Wednesday 23rd- teams. Vojens Fjelsted Slangerup Holsted
  21. Dean you wouldn't believe the hassle the track staff have when they want to put water down. Lot's of moaning from the riders, which I find odd as same riders usually ride really well after track grades.
  22. Article says October 2028 and will be the final GP of that season. Also says Warsaw, Wroclaw and Torun are the Polish rounds for 2027.
  23. what a complete embarrassment last night was, Poole took track prep and maintenance to a whole new level, seen some rubbish shows in and around speedway over the years but that was an all time low.
  24. 16.09.2026: DMPJ Final R3 Toruń: https://youtu.be/sN5sgkfdlH4?is=cB6yOhYA2PgRGsKL
  25. That's what I was thinking. Throw in a junior meeting at sidewinders the night before and the possibility of action at Mildura on the Sunday after the GP. What's not to like.
