  1. Past hour
  2. if they sign Smith they are left with 4.19 for final rider.Unless they have a mystery 4pt rider up there sleeves.
  3. He done well the first time riding at Poole and absolutely shocking the second time. Bowes isn't as good as some here think. He had 2 or 3 very good home performances but other than that, he was awful. I watched him at Edinburgh and the guy looked like he'd never rode a bike before
  4. Is this Cook rumour a serious one ? Where has it came from ?
  5. I wasn’t too excited about it when I first heard about the possibility. But, after thinking about it, we would have a potentially strong top 5 that will run any team close every week. Like someone has said, he had a brilliant relationship with Tate and they could pair up again to carry on that partnership.
  6. Kind of generalising Aussies into a type there and also the Worky manager last season told Bowes before he'd been to Poole that it was a type of track that would suit him.
  7. I'm far from convinced... Feels a backwards step...
  8. Bowes had a much better home average this year, McDiarmid was much better away. If Mitch can learn how to ride his home track better, his average could rise by 2+ points imo. Being an Aussie, I'd kind of expect Workington to suit Bowes more than Poole would, so think his average could even drop!
  9. Even with being a difficult character it's the best way to finish the team IMO. The partnership he had with Tate in 2024 was brilliant and they could ride together again at 3 and 4, can't see any better options or heatleaders available with the points left. If you take away the Poole away meeting where he had bike issue, his away average was just short of 9.50. We were massively lacking there last season and if we sign Vuolas his away average will be about 5 points less than that!
  10. Today
  11. 2036!!! Can’t even see British Speedway even existing in 11 years
  12. The only Rider that fits @ No.2 who finished the 2025 PREM Season on a 4+ GSA is Paco Castagna. 4.00 Newcomer is the only other option. 1. M. Fricke 9.89 2. 4.28 Left 3. C. Harris 6.53 4. B. Cook 6.39 5. J. Kvech 6.91 6. C. Rushen 3.00 7. J. Scott (RS)
  13. It’s easier to sell a business that’s still trading, but a licence to run a speedway club is hardly taking over a business … I had heard even before CL’s announcement that he is prepared to put the licence on ice for a season. Trying to operate a 5-team Premiership is ridiculous - and BSPL’s statement that 2026 would include a KOC-Up is beyond laughable.
  14. Assuming no change on conversion rate and home grown reduction - 3.02
  15. Not winding anyone up, What average would Simon Lambert be on?
  16. Good words from Stewart Dickson in the statement. Fricke will score Double Figures every week no doubt about it, But do you actually gain anything if you've effectively got to go with 2 Rising Stars at reserve as well as a 4.00 Newcomer in the 1-5 who's got no British experience? As we all know, Leicester's undoing over the last couple of seasons has been the reserve berths.
  17. Congratulations on being a special kind of stupid
  18. Who have they officially announced then ? Have I missed that...
  19. Fricke officially not at the Lions in 2026, also in the statement 37 points limit is confirmed in the statement.
  20. Leicester have just confirmed Fricke has left
  21. It is but it could also pay off. Hes a good rider still and he will 100% exceed an average of 8. Suppose it depends on his head and if he can stick to it for a season
  22. It doesn't have to be the stadium he just doesn't run the Witches. The BSPL won't deal with anyone else unless Louis authorises it
  23. No. Ipswich stadium isn't closing. So there's no way he can apply to put the licence on ice for 3 years. If a promotion loses their stadium (like Wolves, Peterborough) they can ice the licence for up to 3 years while they seek another venue, because it is an "unforeseeable, uncontrollable, event". I can't see any unforeseeable, uncontrollable, event under which Louis could apply to ice the licence.
  24. The Poole team does look handy, but I'm not thinking 26 is going to be easy. Redcar is looking particularly strong imo, Glasgow and Oxford are there or thereabouts, but others like say Plymouth have real strengths too. Should make for a competitive season, with close matches, can't wait.
  25. If he closes then the rights are still protected for 3 years after closure so essentially you have to deal with Louis and can't swerve it
  26. I'm working on the basis of what if Chris Louis packed it in and didn't run in 2026. With no licence, what's to stop someone new doing a deal with Spedeworth for a stadium lease, and applying to BSPL for a licence. No other club within 30 miles, so no reason to refuse them.
