  1. Past hour
  2. Overcast at the moment with blue sky in the distance. Light shower this morning but a lot cooler today so hopefully the track plays ball and gives us some good racing.
  3. You are so far off the mark with this statement it beggars belief, stinks of envy of a club on the up in these challenging times rather than a club in decline like the majority of teams, crowds and positivity. Plymouth bucking the trend long may it continue.
  4. This would have made sense if the racing was exciting. To create exciting racing, you must be competitive; neither happened last night. Less than twenty minutes of racing within just over a three hours period (if the punter arrived as heat one started). The majority of the meeting was spent watching track staff replace two air fences and attempt to fix the starting tapes. Aye, I’m sure they’ll be back…
  5. It was three and a half hours because they started late and punished those who got their on time in order to reward those that did not, and didn’t even seem like that big a crowd, it look busy because its such a small stadium, I don’t think they would have filled the grandstand at Peterborough. Im sure the locals enjoyed it but for the neutrals, I hope I speak for a few when I say I would rather watch speedway at a proper track where you can race two or more side by side and not a glorified training track.
  6. I wouldn’t necessarily replace all three; Hausl deserves time. The extent of my speedway interest doesn’t exceed the UK, so recruitment isn’t my bag. However, to answer your question, please refer to @Mr Blobby‘s comment below;
  7. Hopefully our heat leaders can do the bulk of the scoring to get a win , not sure if we have r:r for for niklas
  8. Good idea will pass this never thought off before notion to the recruitment team. Always the ever helpful Edinburgh fan that you are that never and I mean never comes across as bitter.
  9. Today
  10. Good luck to the Comets today after a heavy away defeat and two injured riders the team needs all the support it can get .
  11. Surely the result doesn't matter as long as the racing was exciting?😉 Whether it was or wasn't I bet the large crowd will be back for the next home meeting. Well done Plymouth.....
  12. Nick is not a good team man. Very self centred . But a very good individual rider who will get better and better
  13. Cause he was a mid season signing right enough. still time to take him back Lewy.
  14. i agree, if people who were there enjoyed their evening, thats excellent.
  15. Like Edinburgh did with palovaara last season, glass houses and all that didn't quite pan out with cluff though did it.
  16. Speedway Forum, with all due respect a lot of dinosaurs , like all social media, full of negativity. I wasn't at Plymouth last night, I never watch BSN, I am occasional Speedway attender these days. I went to Plymouth earlier in the eason VIBRANT . PACKED , FULL OF NEW FANS... Now go and take a look at Plymouth Gladiators Social Media. Excellent non Speedway Fans media Team started last season, combined with and overseen by the always excellent Andy Hague. Bumper Crowd again last night Did they moan about "no passing" "long air fence delays" " three hours to finish a meeting" "queues to get in"?? Well if the did nO ONE seems to have moaned "Brilliant" "Exciting" "First Time i'll be back" "Great Atmosphere" "Fantastic spectacle" "Great night thanks to the electrician who found my childs earbud under the NHS Stand" Massive positivit from NEW fans, returning fans , curious to have a look at what its all about fans. No extinction level event in Devon Dinosaurs face extinction. Plymouth, as i've banged on about for 12 months , bucking the trend , MAKING EACH RACE NIGHT A ONE OFF EVENT! The Score doesn't matter The Delays don't matter It's like a one off Concert / Theatre / Circus / type Event. Speedway as E N T E R T A I N M E N T not as a Sport! Gloaters can gloat, moaners can moan, Plymouth seem to have found a magic elexir! (No disrespect meant to any poster, just trying to open up minds !)
  17. DSC67

    Motogp

Yesterdays sprint race was absolute carnage for a while due to the weather conditions, after the riders switched bikes they started to get a bit more control of their machines
  18. First of all, best wishes to the injured riders hopefully it’s nothing too serious. Well I can’t say that I was expecting that result, the long delay kind of knocked the stuffing out of the meeting and the Comets did rally a bit towards the end of the night . The Bandits will travel with a bit of confidence of entering the somewhat uncharted ground of the next round of a cup competition, but this is speedway and you never know what’s going to happen
  19. I’m sure they’ll bring in some European ringer on a false average like they have a couple of times.
  20. Kyle Newman or Dan gilkes will be available soon
  21. Well looks like I'm wrong 😲 @LisaColette the 8 day rules applies Saturday to Saturday but as the comets are riding on Sunday 9 days from last meeting, this falls outside the 8 day rule. So in theory Cooper Rushen could guest again but as good as the young kid is, he won't help the comets cause, and I don't think bartoz or Dan Bewley could either 😜
  22. What just on the basis he got a good score last night in the Championship🤨. Let's see how Paco is first after his withdrawal from the Edinburgh meeting on Friday, before we even think about replacing anyone. We have only had 3 matches
  23. So which three riders would you sign to replace Mario, Sam and Freddy? I think you have 11.11 points to spend.
  24. Yesterday
  25. You mean you could actually hear him on that side.We must have been in a sound dead zone left hand side of the back straight stand then, thats why we moved to the main stand to hear what was going on. Comets were anhialated from the tapes in those first 8 heats. The score of 39-9 on the program was certainly unexpected and unwelcome in the first leg of a KO Cup tie. The decision by the ref to change his mind in heat 4 and exclude Cookie after previously excluding Reid Battye was shocking. Kildemand was imperious for the Bandits on the night and I couldn't understand why he didn't get heat 15. Huge task tomorrow but the lads owe the fans who made the journey a big performance. Hope Niklas and Reid Battye are not badly injured.
