if there are only five teams in the league play offs cannot feasibly take place with four teams. -

One big watered down league all on BSN. Premiership collapses next season if it's a 5 team league imo, Basically facing the same team every other week and what happens if one team gets tailed off? The Play-Offs would be sorted in no time and I doubt punters would turn up to see the same fixture that they've already just seen a couple of weeks ago. Need to force Glasgow or Poole to move up as neither of them should be allowed to race in the Championship because they've got a Premiership business model in operation. -
Must be Bowes then if SteveLyric with his inside knowledge of Poole hits the like button š. Don't see this as a League winning team. But we can't be greedy after the last 2 seasons incredible success which may be even better come Wed/Fri (weather depending) But the chance of having some of the best youngsters such as Bailey/Rushen/Cairns would be an exciting prospect in itself. Hopefully would win most home matches to give the Poole Fans plenty to cheer about.

So more watering down FFS

As has been said before he didn't have too many fixture clashes when he signed. He missed some additional meetings because of being called up to ride at U21 level, both his polish team and Glasgow having to race on days that weren't in the original fixture list and injury. If the league set up is the same next year, the fixtures could be arranged to minimise clashes e.g race Poole and Oxford on Wednesdays during the Danish break. He is a brilliant talent and the type of rider that puts bums on seats. I'm sure all Glasgow fans would want him back.

It would be quite cool if they relaxed the points limit a bit and made the best out of the 5 teams left over. If you could get Musielak/Rew/Wright/Janowski/Tungate into each team in place of their weakest rider, plus any other riders who weren't here last year, it would be a very strong competition. Lots of reason as to why this won't/can't happen, I'd imagine. -

Goes back to my point, massive cash injection needed for the prem to become a super league with just top stars riding but fewer teams. No point limit and acquire the best riders to build the best team and the fans would certainly benefit. 5 teams, 4 for the play off with the 5th team being relegated so every match counts. Promotion will be key for champ teams so they secure the big money injection of the prem. Just need to temp the Saudis š -

Difficult to disagree with any of that, however @szkocjasid makes a good point, there is no incentive for clubs to move up if there are few/no heatleaders available. If the Premiership WANTS to expand then the only way that can happen is to free up some riders however unfair and unpalatable that might be. If it wants to have 5-6 teams then there is no need to change. Its an almost impossible circle to square. -

StarBoy is correct, its not about money at Lynn. Have heard that directly. They have tried numerous 'number ones' and the only one who has shown any interest is Lambert, but he is married to a Polish girl and settled over there which makes it difficult. Sheffield's inability to replace Woffinden like for like illustrates how difficult it is to get top riders over who arent already here. When you read how much top riders in Poland get you can see why most aren't bothered about top whack money over here, its not worth the hassle. -
Just glad the comets intend to return in 2026, would like to see Tate and Jacob return. Most riders would love to ride at worky every week but it depends on budget to see what team can be put together. Poland and all the mickey mouse lesser FIM meetings are becoming more of a problem for the championship league with the non availability of riders at weekends

Iām sorry but I disagree. Money clearly IS an issue, otherwise you wouldnāt be left picking up the scraps every single year. Chris Louis wonāt be dictated by unreasonable demands either and Kenyan Rew is a perfect example. Rew was in the plans last winter, But Rew got a better offer from Birmingham which Louis wasnāt prepared to match. Thatās common knowledge. Fair play to Rew, every rider will go where the best deals are. Thereās a very small pool of riders that ride here that are genuine world class. Forget all the noise that comes from riders about āthis is the only place I wanted to come toā nonsense. Fact is every meeting could be a riders last and theyāll go where the best deal is, quite rightly. Chapman clearly wonāt get involved in competing for the world class riders that others are prepared to do. Youāre a Lynn fan so maybe you see it from a biased point of view, but from an outsider, Chapman does the bare minimum every year to get through another season. So my point still stands. If the top three are forced not to sign one of their big hitters, what will be Chapmanās strategy? Will he suddenly decide to pay what the riders are looking for (if he is why doesnāt he do that to begin with?) or will he sit and wait for the riders to lower their demands and just accept what heās prepared to pay as itās their only option? If heās banking on the latter, heāll be disappointed. Those riders will just concentrate on Poland and Sweden. -
Really? To me it's a stronger team than this years, in what will be a weaker league, more than half the teams are above the current 40 point limit. Out of curiosity, do you think this years Workington team was woeful?

In reference to your point regarding Kingās Lynn, money has never and will never be an issue. Buster is shrewd, but heās not a cheapskate. If the right opportunity is there, and for a reasonable deal he would pay for it, but he wonāt be dictated by unreasonable demands from riders. -
i think there wont be much change in ownership

Was going to say something similar! What a weird take. You get your points limit and then every club then builds the best team that they can within that limit and within their budget. Itās not the fault of those three clubs mentioned that the budget of some clubs doesnāt enable them to secure the signatures of certain riders. If those three clubs each donāt sign one of their heatleaders, that doesnāt necessarily mean that an Oxford or Kings Lynn would suddenly be able to afford to pick them up! The reality is that those riders would likely give UK a miss and our league would be worse for it. Iām afraid youāre always going to have the haveās and have notās which is why Iām not convinced on the rumour of one rider per team over 8.00. If Belle Vue for example have to choose between Kurtz or Bewley, would the one who didnāt get a place at the NSS next year just accept a lesser deal elsewhere because thatās the only offer in town?? Iām not sure they would. -
