Birmingham v Sheffield Mon 16th June PL

I’d driven past the stadium at about 8pm but seems I made the right decision again about not stopping to watch the action on a completely dreadfully prepared track. Tolley’s interview was completely barking. All down to track prep despite being absolutely slaughtered and embarrassingly . The Brummies must be happy that he is the only thing keeping the sport in Birmingham alive. Seems a proper speedway fan but he is off his nut in that interview! -

That's a typical Adams move always utilised by his dad, to do with bike setups etc. I think if he'd put Zagar out in heat 1, Zagar would never have agreed to go out on that track and if forced would probably have loaded his bikes into his van straight afterwards! -
When Tolley said it was a. 100% trier, Bachelor doesn't come to mind, that's why I went with Barker.

Plus Kerr 8+3, and Hagon 0. All looks positive for Pirates on Wednesday. -
I'm gonna predict Ben Barker will be the replacement for MJJ. If so, team will be 7.12 below the points limit. Tobiasz Musielak 7.31 Matej Zagar 6.67 Keynan Rew 5.98 Paco Castagna 4.97 Jonas Jeppesen 4.30 Ben Barker 3.65 Sam Hagon RS Total 32.88

I was going to leave after heat 10... but I bumped into a guy I used to work with. 11, 12 & 13 really were predictable. The fact Musielak won the coin toss but chose gate positions in heat 15 was absurd! Get to heat 15 in contention! I've seen enough of Castagna to know he isn't ever going to be more than a steady reserve in this league. I haven't seen much of Rew but I've seen enough to know he is better than the effort put in tonight. Jeppeson & Hagom looked out of their depth and probably are. The RR was badly utilised, Rew & Zagar both got it immediately after a programmed ride. -

Well that was dire, worth about £4 admission,no good blaming the track for Bham’s performance they were just awful, how many bike failures again ? One rider turning up without a steel shoe and had to borrow one off a second halver, they are highly paid professionals it’s not acceptable the track is too smooth too easy to ride and no passing lines available and the racing is all but non existent,it’s not the shape as it’s been a decent racetrack in previous years but this year it’s been awful but as I said that doesn’t excuse the brimmies performance, Sheffield seemed to cope,it was a slightly better crowd this week I thought but if they feel like I did then they feel cheated out £23, barring musielak and to a point zagar as he was ill I’d of sacked the lot tonight -

Can someone tell Chris adams as he doesn’t seem to know -
No extraliga fixtures yesterday. Another really enjoyable night of speedway at the Norfolk Arena and a very comfortable Lynn victory in the end although it looked anything but after heat 8. A good atmosphere, some decent racing and above all else a young, local lad making a big impression on his home senior debut, take a bow Jody Scott. Kvech was excellent as was Lawson after heat 1. Bomber was Bomber and the others chipped in. Ipswich massively missing Thompson and best wishes to Doyle after his withdrawal. Ben Cook back next Monday according to Rob Lyon after the meeting.

Was all over and done with in an hour and 35 minutes once they got going. Any quicker than that and I'd feel short changed personally. -

Thought Tolley's interview was pretty embarrassing, blaming the track & seems oblivious to the fact his team isn't good enough. When he said they couldn't water the track the previous day due to work on the start line (transponder cable) couldn't they have still watered the bends, back straight & part of the home straight. The MJJ replacement who will give 110%, doesn't excite me. Can only see it weakening Birmingham even further. Really feel for Brummies fans & hope Tolley doesn't bankrupt himself by seeing out the season. -

Ey, steady on, I've still got all my own teeth thanks very much and not a badge in sight! Just pretty pee'd off about tonight's woeful affair. It was painful to watch and to be honest, embarrassing! -

To be fair I've been to some other motorsports that aren't too far removed, but no sport body is quite as wilfully blind to it as the BSPA. Now if you don't mind I'm off to the track shop to get a new, laminated, no expense spent team picture. The out of date one with the riders who've been sacked or buggered off to Poland. 😁 -

Last week, at Leicester, the camera panned on the second bend, garden chair fans, for about 20 seconds... I had to look twice to check it wasn't the Ianb Photoshop of his pensioners facing the opposite way from the track... I presume those pensioners, (quite rightly), pay extra extra for that at Leicester.... -

Every time the camera pans the crowd I cringe. People with more pin badges than real teeth, 80s/90s dance music at the tapes, dreadful working mens club banter on the centre green and people who go on about bring back upright engines, monkey masks, open helmets, rediffusion, polio, smog... -

I am with you my friend... "Rip it up and start again" is the only solution.. (Apologise to Edwin Collins, (not related).... The Promoters are not capable of sorting the sport out in the UK, othewise the year on year "S. Show" we have would have been tried to be sorted in the past two decades... Covid being a truly "free hit" to come back with a "Brand New Sport"... They truly havent a clue about marketing or promotion, and, as we see on TV, no idea how to sell themselves, with stadia three quarters empty... "Please come and pay 20 odd quid to watch some contrived, made up, nonsense"... Doesn't float too many boats does it?
