Yes, he's come all the way from Memphis.

I would like to be right too. Not sure about the odds though if the bookie is the sponsor waiting for the promoters to see sense....Oh on second thoughts by comparison the 5000/1 odds of Leicester City winning the Premiership may would have been a certainty.
-
Seems the only option.

Yes of 8 pointers it will obviously be Thompson missing out as no chance Harris losing place!! Expect him Howarth Flint as top three Thompson to Armadale,,?

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
TTT replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What happens for example if Belle Vue and Ipswich join the ranks too and the following happens? Belle Vue and Ipswich to Redcar -> We're having Jake Mulford and Jordan Jenkins and that's final because we're going to give them better deals than the ones they've already signed with you. Riders will have to maximise earnings due to them losing out on a Team place in the UK so Redcar will be hung out to dry by everyone as the signed 1-7 will go up in smoke. Plenty more situations like that will unfold as well due to incompetence by those who run out Sport when they jumped the gun at last year's AGM in regards to CHAMP Regulations for 2026. -

The top brass don't seem to have any long term plan and go from one mess to another. We were told that some major changes were happening next year and that the AGM was only going to be a case of finalising everything. But look where we are now! They should have foreseen what was happening and definitive plans should have been put in place months if not a year ago. Essentially, scrap the two league system and run one league. If that league mirrors the Championship more than the Premiership then so be it. Still entertaining racing to be had with more variety of teams and riders. If things had been thought out properly I'm sure they could come up with 14 or so balanced teams. It's all been said before but a 5 team Premiership is totally unviable, teams meeting each other at least 6 times over a season just will not work. Quite frankly it's laughable. Belle Vue v Kings Lynn for the third time .... no thanks! Belle Vue v Glasgow for the first time .... yes please! Etc etc. -
I only use realistic riders who are likely to be in the 1-7 when building teams.

When well meaning enthusiasts who are happy to spend hundreds of thousands on their hobby get some independent leadership and administrative structure... And when the sport stops getting treated as a personal plaything and starts getting treated as a bona fide team sport by so many... And when £200k is shaved off the riders payments across the 80 or so riders, (on a % pro rata basis).. Riders, who are pretty much completely unknown outside the Speedway Bubble, and bring in hardly any extra bums on seats, and this money is then handed over to a marketing company who just might be able to get these riders recognised, (and more importantly the very sport itself), and bring a few more in.. Sadly, no chance of any of the above...

If you just want to win the home meetings Etheridge and Voulas would be good and hope you make the play offs,I thought last season most of the riders had good moments and some bad as well and need more consistency at home.I do not think the track did not help and that is not a criticism of the track work or anything it was sometimes heat 7 before the tracked worked for home advantage as being just one line inside. What happened to the days when you moved the opposing rider of the white line with a cut inside as going wide you just went back in the early heats,

Why not cancel it all together lol

Howarth already signed up back at Glasgow next season alongside Harris as the top 2 there so can rule him out of your plans.
-
Would love you to be correct 1 valve but bookies would probably quote 100-1 on the above scenario bearing fruit.

What the bloke from Mott the Hoople ( one for the oldies/most of us....).

Again huge risk it would most likely have to be midweek and Peterborough to Lynn is roughly an hour each way without traffic hold up's , plus loads of boro fans not happy with Buster due to how it all ended at Peterborough, I can't realistically see more than 300-400 people turning up best case so whoever took it is most likely looking at six figure loss . -

I would imagine that the championship could take place in 2026, with no bother. They might even get a couple of extra clubs like Leicester and Kings Lyn join the ranks. -
Wonder if AB Race Cruisers / AutoCraft will move up as main sponsors as been secondary on the fork covers for a couple of seasons now

Yes I think that's the fella
-
Dear lord. Did you have a brainstorm and try to come up with 2 of the worst teams possible? Are you a member of the Berwick promotion by any chance?
-
Glad everything is rosy in your head.
-
Do you mean Ian Hunter?
-
Why do you think? Because clubs are for sale, clubs are closing for housing, crowds are down, riders haven’t been paid, the TV deal has gone, whilst promotors want to continue with the same structure, that quite clearly isn’t working and isn’t sustainable and that’s just the Premiership.

So the bspl don’t tell the public the AGM isn’t happening till January until after it was supposed to happen yesterday even though through gossip we knew anyway, the contempt for the fans is off the scale with these people, over the last few month or so the governing body have really shown their colours, they don’t answer the phone, they don’t reply to emails and they don’t give support to clubs trying to come back or start up,they don’t turn up to the speedway show on Saturday even though it is literally peanuts to have a stand,I’m holding back here I could say more but I don’t hold up much hope for the future of my sport and yes every one of us own this great sport 🤢
