  1. Past hour
  2. good meeting never thought it would be that big of a win, good atmosphere for a change, thought jack holder rode hard to be challenging Kurtz and bewley, need more consistency from blodorn, our problem is away from home, but they are just one of meetings that need to count, colder weather and rain kicks in tracks can be very different. nice gesture from Sheffield team to go visit their fans on 2nd bend, (polish style)
  3. Kurtz was in his own postcode v impressive travelling back through the night as well. Always enjoy watching Holder jnr, he gave it a go but there was no catching BK
  4. Let's nip this in the bud shall we? Firstly, I am NOT critical of "all things" Berwick. The only issue I have is the lack of what I would call entertainment of the track/"racing". I certainly don't have a problem with the promotion, in fact I think they do a fantastic job in keeping Berwick going (this includes previous promotions, not just the current ones). Again, if you can find me saying that "I get my fix at Workington" (or something to that effect) then by all means post it/quote me, but as I say, you will not find me saying that. Saturday was my first visit to Northside to see speedway. I visited many years ago with Bob Tasker (GRT Media) when it was still a training track and Worky were still at Derwent Park and GRT recorded the meetings there (at DP), as we did that day. We went to Northside as Bob wanted to see what the set-up was like there. But we didn't see any speedway at Northside. I'll wait for the Quote from me.... but it will a be long wait, as I have NEVER said "I go to Workington".
  5. Don't bother with Steve. He told me years ago that there are 5 Sundays in a 28 day period when I questioned why Newcastle had a facility when Berwick were at Newcastle.
  6. Would be a bloody shame to lose it. It’s an absolutely fantastic service. I honestly had no idea it was struggling for volunteers, I certainly wouldn’t mind helping out on occasion. Is it worth putting a post up on here to ask if anybody else is keen?
  7. Enjoyed the meeting today and they did well to keep the dust down (except for heat 15). Track is usually excellent at BV so no surprise they always do a good job. Looked a good healthy crowd and unlike other events they seem to handle it well. The only minor point is the PA was barely audible except for when they went over to the Bvtv feed. Overall a good advert for those who were there for the first time/first time in a while which there was plenty of.
  8. That's not what I'm on about. It would possibly be last season or the off season that I would be looking for. Without looking back in the threads (might do at some point) that seems to be you replying to other Berwick fans (not me) for being critical of all things Berwick. With you getting called out in the first 2 or 3 meetings (by various Berwick posters), you haven't posted as much on Berwick threads.
  9. Interesting I look at each of the 4 play off teams accumulative team averages home and away, not rolling averages but meetings this season. These were the results before today's group of meetings. Belle Vue home 48.19 away 37:06 total 85.25 Ipswich (Based on Jason Edwards in the team) home 51.40 away 40.77 total 92.17 Leicester home 44.88 away 39.91 total 84.79 Sheffield home 48.62 away 40.36 total 88.98 Based on season form book we are looking at a Ipswich v Sheffield Final. With Ipswich running out eventual winners. Will be interesting to see if that come true to form.
  10. Today
  11. Definitely at Foxhall, not so much away. Ellis comfortably better than Dan at Foxhall, Dan comfortably better than Ellis away so probably evens itself out over two legged meetings.
  12. Difficult to disagree with any of that. Let’s have the same system in the Gp’s as well. If Kurtz end up top of the pile after Vojens, I’m afraid he isn’t world speedway “champion”! The top eight simply then enter two semi’s and then the final, to see who becomes world speedway champion in a winner takes all final..
  13. Nobody's disagreeing, but everyone is getting bored with you constantly posting the same thing in every match thread. You do it to WUM, and its boring and adds nothing to the discussion.
  14. Me! And there was still (slim) hope at that point. Comes with the territory of being a Kings Lynn fan.... !!!
  15. It still doesn’t sit well with me that the top team doesn’t win it. Imagine finishing top of the premier league and yet not winning the title, but instead having to enter a play off system with five other teams who made up the top 6. Yes you get play offs in lower divisions, but that’s for promotion. The top team are still champions! Ipswich will finish top, they’ve taken every single aggregate bonus point in both rounds of fixtures against every club (unless Sheffield manage to be the first next week) and yet could end up empty handed by having an off night in the semi’s or final. Yes, those are the “rules” and everyone knows them before a wheel is turned, but it’s a nonsense. They’re the best team in the league (not Leicester as some comically have been claiming in recent weeks), and deserve to be champions. Why not have the team that finished top are champions, but there’s still a top four race to prolong meaningful fixtures, by having the top four then enter the KOC, two semis and a final? That also does away with the farcical situation of having odd teams enter, and one club getting a “bye”.
  16. Some decent racing and the future certainly looks good for one or of these lads. A pity that speedway fans don’t come out to watch meetings like these, they are the future of the sport.
  17. Not sure Sheffield are weaker. Stronger with Rowe and Flint at reserve. Edit- okay maybe not. I thought RS stayed at reserve all season whatever.
  18. That makes absolutely no sense. If it was top team wins the title without the play offs, it would STILL be a meaningless fixture! In fact, there would have been several meaningless fixtures an awful lot sooner if it wasn’t for the play offs. There was a kings Lynn fan still not giving up hope of qualifying as soon as a fortnight ago. They would have had to have given up the dream literally months ago if it was simply top team wins the title.
  19. Exactly this. Lots of posters here and on social media passing on the latest Chinese Whisper doing the rounds. Unless the poster is prepared to name the source etc they may as well not bother, it's like doing your GCSE maths and not showing your working out.
  20. So Belle Vue have lost twice on aggregate to Sheffield and twice on aggregate to Ipswich …. Yet it’s trolling to point that out … strange analogy Belle Vue and Sheffield out of the 4 teams in the plays are the two who could thump anyone at home by 20 plus points easily …. The trouble is that they are the worse 2 teams away from home so if they do only win their home leg by 10-12 points they will lose by more away from home Ipswich could easily choke and so could Leicester but for anyone to disagree that it’s likely a Leicester v Ipswich final is crazy
  21. Ellis at reserve potentially makes Ipswich a bit stronger. Sheffield weaker or the same IMO.
  22. Just gotta see who is in for Max now. If this leg was taking place in September they could have got Ritchings!
  23. I’ll be at Sandy Lane cheering the Oxford teams on win or lose. What kind of supporter doesn’t go to a meeting because their team isn’t in the play-offs… 🤷🏼‍♂️ half of them watch OUFC week in week out and they haven’t won a trophy since 1985.
  24. Wondered how long it would be before he came on lol
  25. Green sheets out for September. As expected Adam Ellis drops to reserve for Ipswich and Anders Rowe for Sheffield https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/p25_issue_24.pdf
