  1. Past hour
  2. Another pathetic showing by the Foxes, but not as pathetic as King's Lynn or Ipswich there. That should be some comfort but it really isn't. Oh well, the cards have been dealt and that's that for this season. Hopefully things will be better next year!
  3. Heat 13 knocked 2.4 points of his average for the night...
  4. When you're not being paid it must be hard to be positive and motivated (especially if you're not not known for a jolly demeanour )
  5. You've gone completely mad... but at least you're spelling my name correctly and for that I truly thank you 👍
  6. Why not have just given Heat 13 to one of the reserves? This guy is the World number 2 and rightly so he has earned it. As good as he is i find him a fustrating rider
  7. In fairness, they're probably not visiting because a fair proportion are now 6 feet under... I think they need to focus on finding out why no newcomers want to visit.
  8. Play off for third place is 8pm on Saturday.
  9. We will have too see where his commitment lies if he does make it.Will he commit to UK Speedway or will he do a Woffy and Lambert.
  10. Why bother the match was well won if the result had depended on it i think you would have seen a different Brady hence why Norick also went in 15
  11. Today
  12. What is a yawn fest is your constant eagerness to jump on here with your anti BV rhetoric Poole couldnt escape it by dropping to the Championship. A bad meeting here is the exception not the rule, ive seen yawn fests at your track where both teams have been competitive, i think the anti BV brigade headed by yourself and Chun have,nt got over the fact we actually got this stadium built, if other councils around the country actually backed their speedway clubs maybe the sport could actually have the stadia that people expect today. As for the skills they were certainly missing a Foxhall recently wernt they? Funny how the sport is massive in Poland with not a "technical track" in sight that term is used by those with constant gate and go tracks. Maybe Luke Littler should drop his standard to stop darts becoming a "yawn fest" 😂
  13. I don't want to go too hard into Chris Adams, he's probably doing the job on a voluntary/expenses only basis, but... as his record shows, he's clearly not Speedway manager material and I dare say that a decent motivational manager may have been able to turn some of Northampton's narrow defeats into narrow wins.
  14. To what end though? How does them clearing off to Europe every weekend, sometimes at the expense of appearing for their clubs benefit British Speedway? We developed Robot Lambot... he cleared off... We developed DJ Woffy... he cleared off. I'm sure it's great for the individuals concerned progressing their career and good luck to them, but explain to me how it helps British Speedway In the last 10 years... 10 senior GB team meetings From 14 July 2016 to 14 July 2026, the senior Great Britain Speedway Team has raced in the UK on 10 separate meeting nights: Year Meeting Venue 2016 Speedway World Cup Final Belle Vue, Manchester (FIM) 2017 Speedway World Cup Event 1 King’s Lynn (FIM) 2018 Speedway of Nations Race-Off 2 Belle Vue, Manchester (FIM) 2018 Great Britain 33–57 Australia — Test Match Glasgow (Glasgow Tigers Speedway) 2019 Speedway of Nations Race-Off 2 Belle Vue, Manchester (FIM) 2021 Speedway of Nations Final — first night Belle Vue, Manchester (British Speedway) 2021 Speedway of Nations Final — second night Belle Vue, Manchester (British Speedway) 2021 Great Britain 36–35 Poland — Test Match Glasgow (British Speedway) 2022 Great Britain 42–48 Rest of the World — Test Match Glasgow (British Speedway) 2024 Speedway of Nations Final Belle Vue, Manchester (fimspeedway.com) Breakdown 7 World Cup or Speedway of Nations meeting nights 3 standalone Test/Challenge matches 10 meetings in total They represent 9 separate events, because the 2021 Speedway of Nations Final was staged across two nights. 15. Oxford to try and run meetings on a Friday, last 2 of this month, after a results from a fans survey. But I wonder if Mr Godfrey will allow this 🤔 as in 2018 he did not allow Workington to do this
  16. Stewart Dickson is excellent tactically aware and can motivate riders to raise their game, Chris Adams does exactly the opposite.
  17. Only person that's sad is yourself Iain but you can't help that. Nothing sadder than creating a number of Email Addresses in order to have multiple accounts on the British Speedway Forum, Equivalent of creating half a dozen Facebook accounts under different names. Posting AI generated images gives away another burner account, Who funny enough is also another new member on here that posts in identical fashion who also thinks it's a comedian.
  18. and it'll be about 8:07 or 08:15... if we can get our act together
  19. As long as they meet me at the Speedway... it could be a long dirty night interrupted by frequent grading breaks 😂 Oh Matron!
  20. "Make it a date, Friday at Eight"... Today it would be.. "Make it a date, Friday at, errr, no, sorry, not this Friday, nor the next one, we might be doing something the one after though, and definitely, well, most probably, the one after that"...
  21. Yes I’m hearing from a source seeing as I don’t have FB and Redcar only put any updates on there now that Charles is back in the team for this weeks match against Workington and Klindt has been dropped, given there was a statement only a week or so ago that Charles couldn’t ride a close cluster of fixtures is he going to be able to take his place at Berwick on Saturday in a crucial semi final ? Timing seems strange and I’m disappointed like most bears fans that room couldn’t be made for both riders so we once again had strength in the crucial heats 13 and 15 , feel this is a mistake but time will tell.
  22. 100% they do.. However, the FIM meetings are in the calendar well in advance so it shouldn't be beyond the capability of mankind to plan UK Speedway meetings around them... And if the riders don't qualify to the next stages then that would leave "blank" evenings to arrange a previously called off fixture, should they need to do so.. The sport in the UK is dying through far too many self inflicted cuts... Many of which could be avoided,. Having one of your young "starlets" unavailable due to your own planning is only going to make that meeting less attractive to pay to watch.. And UK Speedway can ill afford putting up any possible barriers to prevent people to attend..
  23. The one that grated was a certain American talking about the "straight aways". My all time favourite (which I still quote where appropriate after heat 13) is "Happiness is 40-38". Happiness is 46-44 doesn't quite work does it?
