  3. Me too, interesting match up, I've got both these teams down for league playoff places.

  5. At some point the point has to be raised: does the sport exist to serve league competition, or does league competition serve the sport? At its core, speedway (and all professional sport) exists as entertainment, and it's unthinkable to imagine a cinema - for example - that has no films showing on some weeks. Consider what you want from your enterprise - one, two, three, even four home meetings a month - and make the league fit that, not the other way round.
  6. Looking forward to watching this one tonight. Never been disappointed with the racing at Redcar, hopefully a great meeting. I feel this tie could well come down to how Grmek gets on tonight, he and Klima have never seen the place as far as I know and with Spencer unlikely to do much scoring, we'll need Anze to compete and score fairly well, hopefully he does.
  7. MPT really isn't the answer, he's not going to match R/R where Cook, Cooper & Jody can take the rides.
  8. Today
  9. With all due respect Doyle's best years are behind him ( still a force to be reckon with on his day) but hopefully Dan has many years ahead of him and would score more points at home IMO.
  10. I agree its probably time to call it a day, real shame as Craig has a real talent but he is constantly letting himself and others down. Whatever happens the promotion has a problem as a replacement wont be an easy find, it may even require two changes however the rest of the team are performing as required so very difficult call.
  11. Retire would be the best option for him and the Team.
  12. Has he been suspended though? I haven't heard anything. We don't know what has caused this sudden decline in his mental health. Maybe he has issues at home. Either way, we don't know and won't know. We can only hope he's okay now and he does what's best for him and the team
  13. Yesterday
  14. ... or call the next few matches off until he's ready to return?
  15. The only report I've seen mentioned him getting something like 4 bonus points in an early season match. I'm presuming the above do not include BP's?
  16. Not a great many options to replace Castagna, maybe give MPT a 28 day contract, see if he can impress? If he doesn't bring Paco back.
  17. I think he will tbh Gavan but Doyley's NSS average will be a lot lower than Bewley's imo.
  18. I think our season now depends on how Ace Jody and Jake get on now. if charles comes back he will be a bit rusty and we maybe have not got the heat leaders to support that so we need to score points lower down.
  19. I understand what you're saying but Speedway just for the sake of it isn't going to wash in the long run imo.
  20. Another subtle dig at Sheffield ? Maybe you never saw how much Tai was helping the other riders, even when he was injured and still turning up to the matches ? Or Chris Holder, or Picko ? Look at Flint last year compared to his previous few seasons. Team spirit is very high at Sheffield and all the younger riders comment on it.
  21. Don't know why they're importing lights when they could have got them from Glasgow.
  22. Not the first time you've said it. You're probably one of the reasons Paulco is giving BSF a miss.
  23. The various Polish leagues have many British, Australasian, Scandinavian, North American & Eastern bloc riders appearing every week. Nevertheless the organisers continue to create aspirational circumstances for their own nationals to aspire to albeit not many actually reach the top echelon. There are some Uk promoters who do recognise the value and benefit of developing home grown talent, Unfortunately the others do not know how to take advantage of such opportunities and they are more or less the same group who are involved in running the sport as a hobby.
  24. Think it's classed as with holding his services, so an automatic 14 days off the rota (think to try and stop doing this because you don't want to ride at a certain track, ) then a 14 day ban to try aand stop a rider doing it again. Oops that seems to have failed over the years in this case 😜
  25. If you look at the Polish scene then you will know that they have enough talent at all levels and really do not need to rely on a third rate provider such as the UK filling team spaces. Many other European based riders will fill those spots way ahead of U k riders simply because these youngster have a different mind set. One or two U K riders might make the grade but a pipeline of Dan Bewley’s (a rare and unique talent who never knows when he is beaten) is not going to happen so no fear of riders en masse disappearing to Poland. Agree a feeder system is needed and long ago the UK sport had one but today’s promoters nether provide the opportunity or are of the right calibre to recognise what is needed to make a success of the sport.
  26. The inclusion of JD would have exceeded the cost budget for riders. Might not be what you want to read, but at least you have a promotion with long term sustainability in mind. A professional promotion not a hobbyist.
