The reduction from 4.00 to 3.00 was put in place when the rule book was being formulated for the 2025 season. There was a promoter who just missed the boat for the 2024 regs after this particular rule wasn’t to his liking.

Availability of required materials/fencing needed to make it a speedway circuit in time for the season start or shortly after has been one of the main things, not just the actual track but other things such as changing rooms, referees box etc etc. Ensuring there was rider availability to put out a competitive team was another. Backers and finance is there, willingness from the stadium owners is there -
Locals in Swindon are also fighting with developers etc over regeneration in that area and the Oasis itself. Regrettably a Speedway track would never be permitted there.

Not correct Dean, work going on that benefits the speedway because if it doesn’t happen in time for this season then it needs doing anyway as they will run next season -
Can’t Swindon do something on the oasis leisure center ? It’s been unused for a few years and looking on google earth already has a cycle speedway track on the grounds

That doesn’t even make sense, no work at the stadium will even start till a deal has been done to run speedway otherwise you’re paying for work for someone else, any work done at the stadium has been for the stox -

When you say "work", presumably it falls into two broad categories : 1. Financial, legal, administrative 2. Physical And i'm presuming it's certain work and associated decisions within category 1 which needs to be suffiently progressed by the end of this week?
