How weird that the only one on here who seems to think it WAS Freddie's fault is the card carrying Dryml fan! Come on Rob - you've been around long enough to know that just because you have a 'reputation' doesn't mean you're always the one to blame! Freddie is a rising star who has put a couple of GP prima donna's noses out of joint by not allowing them to have things all their own way. This doesn't make him a 'menace' or a 'nutjob'

I suggest you take off your free Dryml fan club specs when you watch the replay next time Rob! Look carefully at the line Dryml takes coming out of the bend - and at the sharp and sudden move to the right he makes. On first view I thought the same as you to be honest but if you watch ALL the angles there is one where you can clearly see Drmyl change direction very suddenly and Freddie (as SB said) drops his arm to try and avoid Drmyl and complete the passing move. As he said in his interview he was level wih Drmyl when Drmyl tried to 'shut the door'.

Well Done Tomasz! I've long been a fan of young Mr Gollob (well he's younger than me anyway!) and would love to see him go all the way this year!
  4. Ah but the point is my insect friend I ADMIT to being biased against the bees and take every opportunity to show this! Care to be as honest?!!!
  5. If you ignore the obvious anti-Poole attitude of the Coventry Mafia, I think any self-respecting SPEEDWAY fan would be supportive of this type of meeting! What the hell's the problem with Matt Ford 'bigging' up this meeting a bit to get more people in - so what? We have it every year with the Cardiff GP ad nauseum on SKY and yet because this is Poole the usual suspects start slaggin it off. Seriously some people need to get a life!
  6. I WAS TALKING TO MILDENHALL '07!!!!!!!
  7. You could have my sofa bed for £100 - I'm only 25 miles away!

    Scott Nicholls

It would be difficult, even for Scott, to have got 4th! He should have been excluded - end of!

I've just - literally - watched the race again and I HAVE to disagree. Hampel (as Trees said) turned left immediatly after leaving the start long before the 'norm' for turning into the bend. Andersen didn't have time to shut off, was clearly clipped by Hampel, and hit the white line which caused his front wheel to lift. I would imagine (having never ridden a speedway bike) that it is very difficult to have 'throttle control' with your front wheel 2 inches off the ground. Just try watching it on full speed and tell me how on earth he had the time to think and act to avoid that crash?

Sorry but I strongly disagree with you both. I suggest you watch it again from EVERY angle. Where exactly was Andersen's wheel going to go other than up the kerb after Hampel turned left about 10 yards before the corner. I'm sure the fact that Andersen rides over the kerb at the Showground has influenced your view. The fact is that it all happened in less than a second. Hampel clearly turns left, clips Andersen who then hits the kerb which causes his wheel tolift. Due the the 'closeness' of Hampel this caused the domino effect we saw. If I had been the ref it would have been an all four to be honest but if I was going to exclude anyone it would have been Hampl.....mind you I'd have probably taken the easy option in Poland too and excluded Andersen for my own safety!

Tomasz Gollob........ Pure Genius! Andersen exclusion......defiantly a 'homer' decision there - should have been either all four or Hampel out! And no-one could accuse me of being an Andersen fan!
  12. Well it looks like you're 'probably' wrong there then doesn't it! In answer to your second point - of course you are entitled to your 'opinion' - however when this borders on having a personal dig at other posters it sways away from 'opinion' and into the realms of 'insults'......Just MY opinion of course!
  13. Care to prove that?! I can't think of any post I've made on this or any other forum where I've 'moaned about the lack of brits in the Elite League'! And yet AGAIN I refer you to my earlier comment... I'm not telling YOU who to support so why don't you do the same - what difference does it make to you?
  14. Are you Colin Horton in disguise? 'Young Woman' - Thanks you've made my day! With regards to 'opinions' or 'being opinionated' are we talking about me or you?
  15. Thanks for reminding me of another reason why I'm fed up with speedway! I'm entitled to an opinion as I've been watching speedway since you were still c**ping in your pants young man! So yeah i think I'm entitled to my opinion - I'm also entitled to supoort whoever the hell I like! As I said before I'm not telling YOU who to support so why don't you do the same - what difference does it make to you?
  16. I have a VERY large front of my own!
  17. Hoping for Sweden! But expecting it to be Poland and Australia!
  18. What I don't understand is what difference it makes to all you 'Team GB' fans who anyone else supports? Seriously? I understand that for some people their 'allegience' is to their country first and club second. For me the opposite is true - and always has been. With the exception of Chris Harris, and to a lesser extent Simon Stead, I really don't have time for Team GB - and can honestly say I actively dislike Nicholls and Richardson. In addition, I'm afraid I'm sick to the back teeth of the 'hype' that seems to follow Kennett. On the other hand, last night Sweden had four out of their 6 riders who are 'MY' riders - Wolves one and all. So you can bet your life that I was cheering for Sweden last night - and damn proud of the fact I am too! As I said before - I fail to see what difference this made to anyone on this forum! You support who you want to and I will do the same - I'll mind my own business and I suggest you do the same! Now I'm off to join Schumi's revolutionary front and change my avatar!
  19. Well said Steve - excellent post!
  20. As my other half pointed out last night - the meeting at Coventry was pretty much a run off for who was going to finish last (behind Denmark, Poland and Australia) in the final! Looks like the GB then!

    Chris Harris

    YEAAAHHH Well Done Bomber! Fantastic!!!!!
  22. Didn't they say on the GP on Saturday that Bomber has decided not to go through the qualifiers this year? I can see the logic in that - he is by far the best Brit in the series this year so even if he doesn't finish in the top 8 he'd still be the first to get the nod next season! Why knacker yourself riding in the qualifiers for no reason?!
  23. No need to get arsey with me sunshine - I've checked back throught he thread and can find now reference to this prior to your post. So there's no need for the 'for once and for all' stuff - just ONCE would have been enough! Okay I get your drift but working on YOUR timings above...Dogs finish at 4 pm, airfence takes one hour to put up, so that's 5 pm, inspection takes 'ONE AND A HALF HOURS' as you put it, so that's 6.30pm.....still ONE HOUR at least before the start time...............................................problem?

    Hans Andersen

Sorry Babe but I thought it was funny too! I've heard far worse things from the Psychiatric Nurses I work with - and you'd think they'd be even MORE senstive to such things! Of course you're a fun person hun - but we'll have to disagree on this one!
