should be a closer match than previous ones... nice to see Josh and David back in the stripes , even if it is for one match only

Quite comfortable home win on this occasion with the replacements making the Tigs stronger and doubts over the fitness of Max at reserve for us.

When did Anders Thomsen, who scored paid 13 for Munkebo in Denmark on Wednesday, get injured

Interesting point. He was withdrawn on Sunday after being concussed with a head knock. Do riders still have an automatic 7 day ban for this or does it only apply in the UK?

Probably never told his Danish club about last Sunday

Not you sure there still is an automatic 7 day ban ?

I recall being told that if a rider satsifies the on-site medics or has been formally signed off earlier than the seven days, he can then ride.

Suppose it might be depend on the severity of the concussion, being in the range from mild to long term that can last several weeks.

I agree it is best to err on the cautious side on health matters, I was just puzzled that he had a decent performance on Wednesday and is now deemed unfit.

Been a completely disastrous season for us, currently combined CMA's are 35.88. Technically speaking we could replace one of our 3 pointers with Ben Barker and still be inside the 42.5 point limit. Probably teams been fined for fielding understrength teams stronger than ours at the moment.

The difference between us and Edinburgh at the moment is Craig Cook, literally! 10.52 between the teams.

Looking on the bright side we should have 2.50 points to play with with a 38.5 limit next season when everyone else is trying to get under it. Even Sheffield are over 40. Edinburgh would hypothetically need to lose Cook for a 3 pointer and shave a little off elsewhere.

Forgive me if I'm a little disappointed it's "only" David Bellego that's replacing Anders. Would've made for interesting viewing and a decent crowd with maybe Ryan Fisher. As it stands Edinburgh are strong favourites to complete the clean sweep this season. I have no doubt though the 7 Tigers to a man will give everything they have today, it just may be enough.

Well it is a beautiful morning over here in the west :D , here's hoping it stays sunny for this afternoons match . Would be grand if there was a good crowd and great racing , with a Tigers win or a draw . It has been a very difficult season for the Tigs both on and off the track, hopefully we can put this year behind us and have a good one next year :t:

Been saying that most of the season, how we have escaped a fine is incredible. Even James Grieves has taken 1.5 points off his starting average in what must be his worst season in speedway. A quick look at the new green sheets shows Anders on 3.53 effective from today, unbelievably he is still too high to be at reserve, where he deserves his chance! The only surprise is Bager still commands an average over 5, surely the BSPA calculator is playing up.

Not a great fan of these Glasgow select v edinburgh select matches. As they usually come back to bite us in the bum. So Glasgow have replaced the Dane who has a serious injury and can't ride today with bellego who's average is double thomsons and grajczonek for screen. While we have tommy fenwick at reserve for Mitchell davey and Matty wethers for the injured fricke, we are also running R/R for cook who has a virus.

Can see us actully getting beat today as the tiggers have strengthened and we have weakened our side.

Henning has done a good second string job and he has been better away from home, The problem is people were expecting him to do a heat leader job when James wright quit, and that was unfair..Henning has done the job he was brought in to do..We have been riding with one and a half heat leaders and 4 reserves all season, and I agree that is is a wonder that we haven't been fined for an understrength team... Hopefully next year we can at least be solid at home...

On another note no Cookie today so it is R/R for him and Stormy is guest for Max
