Tough on Howarth, who it was reported would take his place in the meeting, but much fairer. JT. Makes sense to replace a Frenchman with another Frenchman anyway. JT 167 Posted June 9, 2014 Cook, Bridger and Harris 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. All go through (top 10 qualify) with 8 points, with Harris' last ride 3rd over Suchanek proving decisive. They will be very hard going for the teams to cover these places. It just goes to show just how stupid speedway is becoming. Nothing really special though from the British lads/ Even in a qualifier as this the best could only manage 7th. What we needs is British lads coming 123 and 4. But I think we are a long way of even getting close to that. Hopefully, the riders will be able to fly out on Saturday morning but its a big ask. It would be a real shame if this meeting, one of the highlights of the season, turns into a watered-down farce. Surprised this hasn't been allocated as a Sky meeting. Sky have no meeting scheduled for w/c 23rd June. topsoil 2,498 Posted June 9, 2014 Enjoyed the meeting tonight, even if the track was a bit slick, but understandable, given that rain was forecast, so it made sense not to put a whole lot of dirt on the track. Great to see riders of that standard, despite all the hardship caused by Saturday I would definitely like to see more FIM meetings at Berwick in the future. If it had been a fine day on Saturday all would have passed off okay. Great to see David through to the next round, but will miss him for the Redcar match. Good crowd as well for a Monday night. Passing was at a premium on an ultra slick track, Sundstrum was a worthy winner, good to see Bellego going through to the next round though this will mean he misses our meeting with Redcar. MJJ hasn't qualified for the GP qualifiers next round so that's a big bonus for the Bee's. As you posted yesterday, form is temporary class is permanent.
