His company have been getting bad press for years regarding unbuilt stadiums!

Exactly, it is water off a duck's back to him. He's a bare-faced liar, everyone knows that, but he doesn't seem to care. The idea that we can somehow shame him into building a stadium he doesn't want to build is laughable.

...yes and he's smug with it! Remember his time at Cowley when he enjoyed his self publicity and self importance!

In an article in the local paper T Russell admits that we will not be in the "new" stadium this season.

At last it is sinking in that Stadia are so full of bull sh#t re the umpteen completion dates.

It is unfortunate that speedway are just tenants and have no clout or say but they had the opportunity to buy or build their own stadium when times were good but they did not.

Personally I think that those in charge, whoever they may be, have been guilty of bull rubbishting since the news of a new stadium was first announced...whenever that was!

This is what someone told me but as we only lease the stadium all it takes is for Stadia uk to pull out of the mongrel racing and not lease the stadium due to health and safety or some rubbish.

I sincerely hope that Swindon Speedway and their Supporters get their new Stadium.

After all of the promises given, it would be almost criminal if they didn't.

But not a shock

Sadly these things happen all too often.

Have been told the Stadium car park is being signed off to Conlon Groundworks two weeks as of the end of last week...whether that means for Stadium or something else who knows?!

Has this happened yet?

No idea! Lots of smoke and mirrors , Local mp announced in the last few days via twitter that GI/Stadia UK have just agreed to lease the disused park and ride near(ish) the Abbey presumably for parking or storage and that the lego brick stand is assembled sat somewhere oh and a guy called Toby Elliot has said he was pushing the Council into solving the 'drainage issues'.....
