I was sanding right by the fat bloke that shouted at Robert......The fat bloke wanted his money back, so Robert offered to go and get some money to give it to him, There was no attempt of Robert going after him what so ever. Robert stood there then walked off in the opposite direction.....get your facts right.

I am aware you are Robert's right hand man, but it is you who needs to get their facts right. The incident I was referring to was a smallish man about 40.ish Telling Lambert to get on with it . I wasn't interested in the personal verbals that followed, but it was Robert who was blocked at the pit gate when he wanted to confront this 'No-body'. Two stewards stationed on the pit gate will vouch this..,

My opinion, was that Robert should be more professional in his attitude, in not letting these comments get to him... If he takes on board every comment and insult thrown at him he'll finish up in a nut house..... I appreciate he is young and at an impressionable age, but this situation should have been addressed by now.

Seems Lambert is going the same way as bridger and getting too big for his boots, yet look where bridger is now. Mid 20s and scraping a 6 point pl average.

Hes nowhere near as good as him or his silly little clique think he is.

If KL can dump every rider except Huckenbeck & Lambert, bring in Lebedevs & Milik do it. Win 46-44 at home, lose 75-15 away in appalling fashion. Get all riders low averages, bring on next year. I hate British Speedway, it is corrupt to the core. Holder has achieved his goal of having a low average to return to Poole next year and quite frankly Batchelor is even more disgraceful. Pulling out of his home match for the team he has signed for, a team that first gave him a chance in this country (if I remember correctly) then guesting for Swindon away twice in a week. The first time a day after his wrist was "injured".

and in guesting for Swindon ride your socks off and effectively knock your own club out of the play off position- how does that work ? Only in speedway

The same lack of though from the management made Robert the Stars Captain. A wonderful speedway rider but not yet mature enough to do much in a positive way as Captain. Much too soon unless it was just for coin tossing. Robert needs to concentrate on his next career step as a rider because his World Cup performance showed that the GP is a distant dream as yet.

You can't blame Batch for that - it just shows how idiotic the guest system is. As you say - only in speedway!

King's Lynn Twitter,

Chapman: "I've written one final column about it which supporters will be able to read on Wednesday and then that’s it, it’s gone."

Does he live in the real world? Clearly he is not interested in what fans may wish to say about it having read his column, you've had his thoughts and that's it.

It is this attitude from those in charge which epitomises much of what is wrong with our sport. Would any business survive with that sort of attitude towards its customers?

And the catch is you have to go to speedway on Wednesday and buy a programme to read what he has to say, genius way of getting the fans to return :)

Some fans to return JC, Some. Others don't give a toss about what he has to say, minds already made up.

I guess we will get the threat of 'I'll close it down' next if the there is a poor crowd tonight.

no catch there never bother with a programme - would dearly like to know how KL can use r/r for a rider with no reason for his absence being given (guess someone must know something)

I note the smiley and I certainly can't think that many of the fans already disenchanted with the way their club is run will be sufficiently interested. They know the details will be published elsewhere.

There needs to be a proper independent inquiry to look into this latest debacle. If Chapman is really concerned about the fans the very least he should do is to hold a fans forum where fans questions are properly considered and answered, that might be a start to rebuilding their relationship with the club and their confidence in the way it is run.

Well I was on holiday, in the local region to watch the sidecars the following evening. And I guess there might have been some Poole fans and other neutrals present. None of these people are going to be there tonight. But that is a minor point. This is an issue of interest to the wider speedway community. The impression is that, "its none of our business". A senior British League rider known and well respected by many fans from all over the country has been suspended for 28 days. And that is only the tip of the iceberg. Much went on behind the scenes last Thursday which is of concern and perhaps indicates a much broader shift in power away from the powers that be to the riders. We seem to be expected to accept that we should not worry, it's being dealt with. This is an issue not only for KL but for the speedway authorities and the many angry fans than demand an explanation.

I look forward to Buster's article being made public.

An "open" inquiry, yes.

A proper forum, yes. Both sides to represented. I don't defend what the riders did last Thursday. Frankly, I was livid. But in the interest of fairness we should hear their side of this.

Now I think about it, has any rider involved tweated or publicised their side of this.
