waytogo28 2,054 Posted April 5, 2017 I don't think that Somerset will score less than 38 points. There is still a big question mark against Porsing, Huckenbeck & Rose. They have been so hit and miss in their scoring ( or apparent effort at times ) And Bailey, so that we can judge his true potential has yet to be given an extended run. semion 2,192 Posted April 5, 2017 Many of the so called experts wrote of Somerset before a wheel had been turned last season. Looked what happened to those predictions. Old Gary is bit like his wife Theresa. Write either off at your peril. Lol
SCB 15 Posted April 5, 2017 This could well be a 60-30. But as semion says, people wrote Somerset off last season and look at what they did. I hope they prove me wrong and go on to have a decent season, would be great to see a club that started only 15(?) years ago in a field in the NL (CL then), won a few things in the NL, moved up to the PL and after struggling to begin with come good. If they could go on to be one of the top EL clubs it would show that with a bit of time, effort and dedication you can make it.
Willowman 212 Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) ... club that started only 15(?) years ago Its easy to remember; we started properly in 2000, so that makes 17 years of racing. I would guess we were in the CL for about 3 years and old PL since. So a new era begins tonight. Just hope we entertain the KL fans and keep it respectable. SomersetBlue 212 Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) 6/7 points more and we would have been walking away with a BP. Josh with a bad fall and injury and Tungate struggling with an underpowered bike. Graversen beat his opposite number and I'm sure would have done in heat 2, on his first night of racing. Allen has never seen the track and first night of racing so decent from him. Wright, Starke and Hougaard have all done well. Get Tungate and Grajczonek going and that doesn't seem a weak side to me. If not then Garry won't hesitate to change. Must be tired didn't realise I put injury meant struggling with bike. Scored 12 in Poland so must be his bike, seems under power. Corrected.
