The podcast is well worth a listen Dan comes across very well and has high praise for the new Northside track and what Steve Lawson has done to help him get to where he is now, IMO Dan is a future world champion :rolleyes:

Found this nice drone footage someone has taken in August on YouTube, really shows off the track and it's surronding area...

The BSPL AGM will be fast approaching with the NL AGM to follow later on I think, may hear some more news soon.

From memory it’s a rough road for vehicles.

Two questions;

Has there ever been a Speedway track, closer to the sea?

What plans are there, in the short, and long term for spectators?

Have a look at Ventura Raceway in California. Used to be tag lined as 'Commotion By The Ocean'.

When I went in the 80's and 90's you parked on sand dunes looking out onto the Pacific.

The 'Beach Bikini Competitions' at the interval would get a good crowd of non speedway fans attending!

Not sure if it would be warm enough to stage them at Northside though!!! :rolleyes:

Thanks. That is a good idea; my second driving lesson was round the West End of London!

Glasgow have plenty of large puddles usually on a Sunday.

Does this count.
