Certainly a meeting of two halves. The after meeting press conference was interesting. Steve Worrall said his main bike had an issue and that’s why his second bike was wheeled out and used. Danny King was hurt after his third bend fall but was determined to continue but gave heat 15 a miss. Ben Cook was frustrated when he had an engine issue when on a 5-1, and Zach had frustrations when also on a 5-1 when Mountain fell on his own but was allowed back in. Mountain went and chopped up Zach, who should have put it down, as should have Ben when Nicholls smashed him out of the way in heat 10.

The first half of the meeting had Leicester blasting from the gate and Pirates having little answer. 16-26 down and it looked all over but in the second half of the meeting Poole had an 18 point swing, after the track settled down.

The lead to Leicester should really have been 16 points but with Bens bike Blowing and in heat 11 with Poole on a 5-1 and Mountain falling at the back, those were the way things went.

I think Poole are still in with a shout on Saturday, though clearly Leicester will now fancy their chances. All to ride for. Poole have only been beat by a bigger score once this season at Plymouth, and by 8 points at Edinburgh. All other defeats have been closer.

An important off track piece of information has come out about Kyle Howarth. He is getting married on Saturday. And in his contract with the club it all states that he doesn’t ride for a period before his wedding for fear of injury ruining his big day. Now, if he is not getting married on Saturday, this news is a load of rubbish. But if he is, then no facility should be granted. So a NL rider should replace Howarth. The BSPA MC should look into this as a matter of urgency.

Desperate times if you would like something like this to swing the balance in Poole's favour.

Wow. Tales of two halves. As a lions fan I'm ok with this. Seem abit disappointed that it could been even a win but it's all to play for. Can we do it ? Hell yes! Last heat decider coming up I reckon!

Sounds like King falling off on his own track and poor machine prep by S Worrall and B Cook cost Pirates a bigger winning margin.

I think you will find Howarth has a Doctors note for Saturday. he uses the same Doctor as Robert Lambert.

Most of the Hunters' fans are saying the weather forecast for Saturday is poor so looks like a possible facility to race in November will be needed.  Any Australians got their flights booked to go back home in early November I wonder ?

Im sure the MC will take no action based on the hearsay of a serial wind up merchant on here.

As long as the guest wears a sombrero it should be ok.

Although King falling in heat 1 cost the Hunters 2 points as they were on a 5-1 :-)

It made no difference as they gated on a 5-1 in the rerun and it took Ben Cook 3 laps to pass Mountain. He might have done that in the first staging.

Forecast is for dry weather with the risk of a small shower in the Leicester area tomorrow morning. Plenty of time to sort the track out. But it might not be what the Leicester riders are used to, the same as tonight in Poole. Guess they will just have to get on and ride it.

Arthur where are you I’m waiting for your pearls of wisdom on tonight’s demolition of Leicester oh no you might just get over the line... looking forward to your observations from the track where you obviously are watching your beloved pirates.

49 - 41 after being 10pts down, can't really add to that
