screm 8,069 Posted April 23, 2023 Latest injury news on Josh Pickering is that he is still very sore this morning and will attend his local hospital later today for a more thorough diagnoses.
szkocjasid 3,128 Posted April 23, 2023 While you never want to see a rider injured & I hope it's nothing serious, at least Edinburgh have good options for guests. I'd recommend Schlein at Oxford & R.Worrall at home (if needed).
lisa-colette 6,052 Posted April 24, 2023 Reading an article were they think Josh will be out for 4-6 weeks and just going to run with guests. No replacement. This seems to happening more, relying on guests. Is it because there just isn't anyone to sign on similar average or just easier to run with guests?

Can you name anyone on his average you'd replace him with? Ellis would be converted pren average probably too high, rasser I think was over 9 in his spell with us. Guests are better than the alternatives imo

You can pick and choose track specialists to an extent to makes total sense. Can’t think of who we might be able to sign to cover him anyway tbh.

Crazy that you can't get a replacement in for a No1 rider though! Guess that is the times we live in now.

Weren't Plymouth trying to get him last year and Kennett's average was 8.40 ish. Sure Poole wouldn't mind him going to Edinburgh.

Yes but as he didn't start season in champ I believe any average given now would be a prem conversion

If the rumoured limits are correct I can’t see a world that an Edinburgh team could fit Masters in sadly. With that in mind I’d be keeping Josh and speaking with Ritchie Worrall or Cookie. In the lower end of the team I’d be keeping Hook and probably giving Lee Complin a run at reserve if he fancied it. The middle order is tough and if you go with a 7.00 rider like Sedgmen or Thomson then your second strings are 4.00 riders really. Positivity only on this thread btw….. Sedgmen showing tonight he’d have been a good signing.
