City centre location...

Prime site...

A very small amount of people disenfranchised by its closure...

Ticks a lot of boxes..

Will Speedway as a collective ever come together and employ some legal firm, who specialise in such things, to fight the fight from their corner?

Or will they continue to work in SILO doing "their very best" at a local level. (Or much less than that in one noticeable current situation the sport currently faces)..

Oxford, and Coventry to a certain extent,  have shown what can be done, so the sport already has some "success stories" to use as reference...

It certainly wont go away given land values, and the need for councils to bring on revenue via "assets", therefore the sport really needs to get itself in a strong position legally to stave off what could be a huge threat to its overall existence...

We just need to get on with this season.

No point worrying...if it happens it happens !!

Said years ago that the club needed to be in contact with the Commonwealth games legacy committee about assuring the future of the sport in (or around) Perry Barr. Don't know if this has happened.

The crowd levels will be more of a worry if they are  anything like last season.

A good 5+2 from Proctor at Scunthorpe today, has to give Brummies hope that their reserves can do a job!

Rode well as well and was unlucky to be squeezed out in the first corner in the heat where he rode a 4th place the only peculiar thing was he was on Simon Lamberts bike all meeting and as far as I could see didn’t have any of his bikes in the pits !

A bit pointless, given that the CWG Legacy has a different agenda and is all about young people getting actively involved in participation sports (running swimming, boxing, cycling etc), not propping up a commercial spectator sport (let alone a motor sport) frequented by "not young" people. Until the Brummies get involved with community ventures and start engaging with young people there won't be a penny worth applying for.

A new manager would be the best signing !  Rogers just hasn't got it and we won't last the season with him in charge of team affairs.

If Joe Thompson is dropped by Scunthorpe, he'd be a good signing for Birmingham at reserve. But which reserve would you drop?
