Berwick are running in 2 leagues and making time for NJL

And Edinburgh are in two leagues and have two NJL teams.  They also have probably the most restrictive timings for meetings where engines can only run for 2.5 hours (7.05 - 9.35).

Nice to see some results. Would it be to much to let the fixtures be published? (And if not, why not?)

Might just be that because the senior teams keep moving fixtures and the BYC keep moving dates then the NJL have to change the dates of matches so a published fixture list for juniors isn’t worth the paper it is written on. Redcar Cubs have had their first three fixtures postponed due to circumstances they had no control over, please remember they are at the mercy of their clubs and mams/dads and rider availability.

Workington Meteors 14 Redcar Cubs 22

H.McGurk did take 2 rides for Meteors in this match but his points do not count due to his NDL average being too high at the start of the season.

Does anyone have detailed results for these two fixtures:

13th May Workington v West Lothian

1st July Berwick v West Lothian

I'm trying belatedly to compile detailed records for the 2 Edinburgh teams.

It's just been correctly pointed out to me that the Ref's downloads on the BSPL site include the NJL results. Full marks to the ref's and the BSPL website.

But not the Berwick v Armadale from 22/7, does anyone have those?

I've contacted Jim McGregor, and asked him if he can get the referee concerned, to upload it onto the SCB site.

Great little league with no or little promotion

Some of the clubs do promote , they have their own Facebook groups/page but please remember the team managers have a lot on their plates trying to run the teams , perhaps the ‘ league co-ordinator’ could do more ? but promote what ? Those involved seem to know what’s going on and it’s never going to attract a crowd on its own two feet, it’s a junior league followed by family, friends and the die hards who stop back to watch the extra races. It’s a great league with a long history,  but like the rest of the sport,  it is really struggling this year.
