sorry to enlighten everyone but speedway is not a safe sport.

You are quite right of course.
I admire all those riders who take to track, just not to earn money, but entertain the public.
There's been so much criticism of two clubs in particular, but in all walks of life, we all have have our own level of ability at whatever our job or recreational activities might be, and speedway riders are doing their best (well most of the time!!). They are putting their lives on the line in an to attempt to entertain us, and we should praise them for that, not keep knocking them.

Quite right, of course it's safe.

It's the material used that puts a lot of the the riders off, im sure it's been said that Chapman uses a clay based mixture rather then just shale at both Lynn and Peterborough and it creates a very grippy track so it seems, the main problem is most of today's riders don't like it heavy and grippy and can't ride a grippy track with confidence, Loram and Screen from yesteryear would have a field day and revel in the conditions, a bit like Harris does now at times, but not the majority of today's gating tarts:Dplus the rocket ships they ride nowadays are so much harder to ride compared to bikes of a few years back if the track ain't smooth and slick and prepared just so.

Strictly speaking the line up being referred to had Jakobsen, Palm Toft and Edwards in it and the real prospect of Pickering returning but I very much take your point.

Out of interest, everybody keeps referring to Lambert saying “as it is” in his interview, but for those of us who haven’t seen it, what’s a quick summary of what he said?

I was taken aback how laid back he was. There was a sun break, so they spoke to him for about 5 mins. When they asked him about his win over Toby, he casually said it was my best win so far, but thats just one race..  When asked about the sun interval .....It will be good  for Buster to sell some beer and burgers. He mentioned  the teams struggles this season, the track. He said it was grippier in his 2nd ride than his first and he was surprised by that .That kind of thing.. Not having a dig at anyone, just  come across as a very laid back kind of bloke. I can't remember it all. I would need to watch it back.

Hang on a second, if you're willingly accepting conversation with regards the goings on trackside (which is a good thing by the way), why not just say now on the forum?

Of course, you'll probably get some s#!t for it but why not be open & honest with all, rather than one?

This is all every fans wants in the first place.

Probably because he will talk to the REAL fans at the stadium & not the ex fans(trolls) on the forum spouting doom & gloom at every opportunity.

And there you have it - the exact approach that many promoters and the sport generally takes with regard to its customers!

Those no longer attending/attending less regularly but still with an underlying love of the sport are dismissed with disdain when really these need to be listened too constructively

Instead only happy clapper ar$elickers sycophantically tugging their forlocks submissivally are desired for conversation

Just caught up with this meeting on BSN. And people have a pop at the Poole track?

Howarth summed it up perfectly. No one wants to ride in heat 15, regardless of pay, as the track is bad. Got grippier as the meeting went on and was grippy at the start. Howarth said for some unknown reason the track staff worked on the track to make it as grippy as possible (not his exact words)

It’s clear both Klindt and Laguta just want to get through the meeting unscathed regardless of whether they score or not. The track is dangerous. The whole surface needs taking off and shale put down. For some reason Kings Lynn want to race on clay and the riders are clearly struggling. It’s not those with the biggest gonads don’t have an issue, it’s unsafe as the way bikes are today makes riding them difficult to turn. Seems Kings Lynn want to have a different surface for the sake of it. Not in the best interests of the sport.

King's Lynn want to have a different surface due to stock cars/bangers bringing in the majority of revenue. It's not feasible to rip up the clay and replace it with shale for when there is a speedway meeting or vice versa. From a business perspective the speedway attendances just don't dictate doing this.
