Quite a win for Leicester and I think that is the tie over, can’t see Thompson doing as bad at home as he did today and with Boughen flying and a strong reserve should see them through. A bit of pressure on the worky heatleaders when your reserves aren’t scoring much because of the poor form of others it’s perhaps pushed Harrison into the main body a bit earlier than he should be especially after injury. Just going by the updates racing seems like it was decent again though and another self made track which is only good for the sport… wish the comets all the best for this season and years to come.

Good match today, beaten by a better Leicester team. A decision or 2 against the comets today but is what it is. Don’t agree with however, the barrage of abuse directed at Sam hagon over the heat 13 incident. There isn’t any place for that type of abuse in the sport. Yes, we all disagree with decisions from time to time, but no need to shout horrible things to these young lads. Onwards and upwards.

Good racing today esp from young ace,we were never going to win but ref didnt help young boughen puts the bike down twice and gets put back in,ace lucky not to be put out but then gets taking wide in next race makes a good hard but fair pass and is excluded.changes need to be made to get bickley in the team we need a heat leader !

Would take big / unpopular changes to fit Bickley into the side. Double change and having to fit back under the 42 limit. Not run numbers but would need to be Sam, Ace or Luke out with Crang to accommodate Bickley and a 3 pointer.

Sam and harry not work?

Changes are pretty impossible at this stage because the team total comes to 45.91 and with 2 changes it would have to fit back under the 42 limit.

I.E dropping the McGurk’s (7.83 + 3.00) would only leave 6.92 for two riders!

For context, it’s impossible to fit Bickley in with any combination other than Bailey plus Elliot Kelly or higher

Speedway is about team strength  4 points from 9 reserve rides speaks for itself.

Not surprisingly in our first season back established strong teams are a big challenge for us.

Leicester were strong right through, they generally outgated the Comets and looked faster on track.

Agree with what has already been stated it was pretty poor form booing young Sam Hagon who was a great guest for the Lion Cubs.

The rainfall radar was bang on with the 16:45 rain forecast.

When sitting in the back straight stand the quality and volume of the PA was not great. Struggled to hear most of Roy's announcements and interviews. Could be related to the stand height relative to speaker position ?.

Some good racing again but a hard day at the office for the Comets. Ace Pijper finally gave the home fans something to cheer with his battling win from behind in heat 11 against Ashton Boughen and Dan Thomson at the 4th time of asking. Personally i thought Ashton should have been excluded in the first running as he came down on his own.

totally agree about heat 11

leicester allready had the meeting won

but call it tac foul or outright cheating

Boughan lucky in first run to get back in

then in the third attempt he was so far behind he had enpough room to cut back  clearly bailed out both attempts to get a rerun

earlier luke harrison had a bigger moment when the door was closed as he was about to go up middle of the 2 Leicester riders but he shout off  just like the cheating duo should have done in heat 11

then when it finally went distance boughan tried to take ace out to fence after the finish lin and started having a go on way to pits

comets way out gated for the 2nd meeting in a row

I agree with a few things that's been said.

The abuse from the fans, especially to a young lad is unacceptable. Yes, that decision was piss poor but that isn't the riders fault.

Boughen should've been excluded, if not the first time, definitely the second time when he fell in the exact same place.

The difference was our lower point riders. Harry and elliot aren't good enough. 4 points over 11 heats between them is poor.

Although I think crangy needs to do better, it would've been a lot closer today with him riding.

Sam is a good rider. Inconsistent but he's young and has something about him. I dont know how it'd sit if you get rid of his brother though
