Sheffield v Wolves 24/07

Recommended Posts

Absolute shambles. Not as if riders have almost five months off a year to go on holiday.

Can someone explain why Sam Masters has a visa which requires him to be out of the country, for some time.

Is it because last year he was classed as a 'Monarch', but this year he's a 'Cheetah'?

It’s off.

But this was the only possible date this fixture could be ran…. Apparently.

Does the league really have an "integrity" to be harmed though?

If it does I have never been aware of it.

You’d imagine that the first part of any contract would be that the riders have to be available for all fixtures unless they are injured

Unless it's a Thursday meeting & they're racing in a re-arranged Polish Extraleague match!

Sheffield & the BSPL have really boxed themselves into a corner now, Wolves were forced into this date (against their wishes) because it was the "only date available" so how are Sheffield going to re-arrange this fixture? Whatever date is given Wolves can rightly say "so why wasn't this date offered instead of July 24th"

Peter Adams: "He needs to take his family out of the UK to comply with visa requirements involving his partner."

Perhaps someone could fix it for Godfrey and Chapman could be given one of those visas. That really would be “ in the best interests of Speedway”!

Aren't Sheffield and the BSPL  one and the same? (Lights blue touch paper and stands well back)

So, do Sheffield now forfeit the points as there are ‘allegedly’ no more available dates at Owlerton?

Wolves should be awarded the league points. :t:
