I think that circuit was in the film 'Rush', where James Hunt first started. I have a strong feeling that's long gone. I would imagine, it is the athletics stadium?

Not sure Ray, this was the one I was thinking of. There are still small remnants of the racing circuit.

Not sure? I believe its not just the old derelict athletics stadium but the whole complex that's being regenerated for a variety of sports.

This was the crowd funding page for it. There were plans drawn up, but since the person leading it died it’s all gone quiet.

One place that may be viable would be on land adjacent to the Black Country museum and the old Freightliner hub nd Zoo and Castle. 

It must have been seriously considered many times and discarded for some reason.
