Embarrassing finish to the season.

Most accurate and relevant comment in the whole thread!! A team made up of guests, racing in ridiculous conditions all because of the TV wins a farce of a meeting after a whole seasons worth of racing!

Will be called after this race if, sorry WHEN Sheffield go in front after a 5-1!!

Running in October usually means crap weather...

Crap weather usually means crap tracks...

Crap tracks means crap racing bordering on the wrong side of acceptable from the danger side of the sport..

Who knew?

It is definitely a better track than Tuesday.

Not sure that crash had much to do with the track.

Think Danny was just trying everything to get a place back. He is a great guy and excellent team man. Would have him at Poole next year no problem.

Of course it has to do with the track, the tracks soaking wet, there’s a reason we have rains offs in speedway

He's right though, it is still better than Foxhall was on Tuesday.

It’s a grand final shouldn’t be getting rushed through like it is. Only British speedway this would happen. Meeting should be called a rode a different night.

This isn’t speedway and if I was either club I would be embarrassed a little with this title as it will always be looked back on as a bit of a mess.

The fact that both meetings track conditions are farcical for varying reasons, is a damning  indictment to British Speedway really

The racing tonight has been pretty good.

It’s not various reasons - in both cases it’s rain pretty simple really

Can’t believe they will call it off after this heat. That would need Ipswich to wave the white flag.

That's the risk with Play Offs I'm afraid.

There are pros and cons with Play Offs but bad weather and guests are almost inevitable if you decide the league in October.

But it hasn't been crap weather where I am, down south/east, 25 degrees and sunny this weekend too.

Couldn't have Sheffield rode this on another day? Or are they limited to what night they ride on? Shocking way to finish the season

Most unsatisfactory for a final of all matches to be ridden in these conditions! I looked at the forecast as soon as the rescheduled match on Tuesday finished and rain was always going to be on the cards. Why they postpone the Ipswich leg but not the Sheffield leg with a similar forecast is strange to say the least...

And then when it is decided to stage the match there seems to be zero flexibility from Eurosport as regards starting time and ad breaks etc.

It's on situations like this when I really question the value that Tv coverage adds to our sport.
