I think I'm correct in saying that Birmingham have had several different homes over the years. When you consider that Birmingham has a massive catchment area, you would think that gates of 1,500 is possible.  Does the location of the stadium have anything to do with it, is it especially difficult to get to, is the traffic at that time of evening a nightmare ?

Not really many homes no. Whilst the current stadium is the one they used to also ride at in the very early days.

The site of the one stop shopping centre across the road was its other site in the 70s mid 80s whilst the other other place was at Wheels.

A decent sized gate SHOULD be possible given its catchment area however several things go against it.

- The track has often been poor but it seems the guy who did do a decent job is back for 24.

- the viewing is pretty poor which off a lot of those who have been in the past.

- parking can be an issue and more so now that the One Stop SC is not allowing parking there anymore

- traffic at PB and motorway can be a nightmare.

Can't you park at the one stop shopping centre? Isn't it like the Beaumont Leys parking limited to 4 hours?

Not any more.

Says who?  Yours is one of those posts that spreads the sort of fake news that turns people like Lefty off from going to Birmingham for the speedway.

Parking isn't the responsibility of the club. Most sporting venues have some Parking which is usually limited,  (perry barr is no different ) however once that is full, its up to you, the car driver to park your car. Ring a major football club and ask, where to park, and they may wet themselves laughing at you. At least some speedway clubs try to make an effort.

Spot on...

If you want to go badly enough, you will find somewhere to park...

Park in a side street..

Park in a public car park and get an Uber from there..

The "event" will deliver the crowd it deserves, just like all events do..

Events that are well ran, well marketed and promoted, have credibility, and offer excellent value for money, will usually generate plenty of punters...

Regardless of whether car parking is on their "doorstep" or not..

Was a Villa Park on Friday evening, Hospital package (it's Christmas) so got to the ground at 6pm via a taxi and needed to pick someone up at Perry Barr Station, NO TRAFFIC problems at all. I don't get how people think Perry Barr is a nightmare to travel to. The are about a dozen bus lines and a Railway station all near by. Payed on site parking if early enough or with a little bit of common sense free parking or simply get a taxi from the city centre , also the is a travel lodge at about £55 a night just a few minutes walk from the stadium.  I'm off to Glendale Arizona soon to see the Cards play the Hawks now that is a stadium that is close to 20 miles from downtown Phoenix with pretty much no public transport links at all but 65,000 will manage to find a way there.

I guess Brummies website is to blame for the ‘fake news’. You only believe what you read, especially when it’s on the teams own website. Feel free to put the record straight if it’s wrong rather than resort to mud slinging.

"Supporters will no longer be able to park on the complex" that doesn't square with the parking policy laid out on the one stop's website. That does say it's for customers but who's checking? You don't need to scan a receipt or anything to get out do you?

Just saying you can’t accuse someone of spreading fake news if it’s been published on the clubs website can you?. If people want to take a risk and park there it’s their choice, but bear in mind the shopping centre closes at 8pm on Mondays so anyone parked there will be taking a big gamble.
