Workington v Berwick Border Trophy 31/03/24 3pm

Recommended Posts

The Comets are against local rivals Berwick Bandits in Workington's first meeting of the season after the Ben Fund fell foul of the weather.

Hopefully it will be dry and the racing will be good , oh and a home win too.:)

What sort of crowds do the Comets get now? used to love the Saturday nights at DP when I lived up there 2004/5, Stoney and Steady, crowds of 1200. Whereabouts is new track, must try and get up there this year. Good luck for the season, great to see them back.

Not sure of our average crowd last year , maybe 500 /600.

The track is on the site of the old Northside training track and is around a 30 minute walk from the town centre .

The crowd guess was for development league racing last year, 1st time back in the championship since 2018 the H18TORY season,  so will have to see what type of crowds come to the GT Tyres northside arena

Read in an article it’s a suspected broken thumb so guess we will have to wait and see. Not sure how reliable the article is really.

If cookie not riding I'd go r/r

Gives the others more track time in race conditions before proper meetings

Not gonna win the meeting so more value going r/r

Nothing on their official website, not even a match report from last night, that’s poor especially as the gate opens at 1pm for the second leg
