All of this cancelling meetings shenanigans needs setting down in the rules in some way, there's far too much of it going on by many clubs in all leagues

Definitely.

I think it's all because of the flights/foreign leagues etc....it seems a call off based on the forecast, is far more prominent in the Premiership, as opposed to the other 2 British Leagues?

Problem KL has over the years since Buster has owned the club there has been many dodgy call offs and that’s why fans doubt the reasons they are told - it may well rain tonight in which case it was a good call but it was called off yesterday which is rather early - Lynn can’t afford a other home defeat that’s for sure maybe that’s the reason but either way these iffy call offs have to stop .

You're right there have been a good few ,but to be fair, on the flip side there have been numerous times when Buster has bust a gut to re lay the track only for riders to refuse to go out, so in one respect I can sort of get it   Still not raining though

Update at 18.55. 8 miles away and we've got some light drizzle. That'll do it then

Thoughts are with everyone in the Kings Lynn area this afternoon, hopefully the rain is not as torrential as predicted.

You are correct and one of culprits is in the Sheffield team so Buster may have played a blinder - but there will be a time when KL can take advantage of another clubs misfortune via injury rider availablity or even a dodgy weather forecast but KL doesn’t want to whinge when a meeting is off that the club can take advantage of - as the saying goes what goes around comes around . And KL ain’t making many friends at the moment

Hope everyone in King's Lynn is keeping safe.

With all of that rain the drains must be overflowing by now.

Pretty easy really, let the meeting referee call it, and take it out of the hands of staging promotions.

Its been done before.

Do you honestly think that all of these cancelled meetings do the promoters any favours in today's climate. They are called off for a reason and nothing will ever change....oh,by the way,I don't need a map,I've got satnav..:-)
