Football is more expensive, but there are a lot more football fans and subsequently more demand in the first place. Even then, I'd argue £30 is on the high side for L1 and I've seen others saying the same. The Stock Car World Championship is an annual event, I don't think you can realistically compare that with a run of the mill league meeting. I personally think the £20-25 range you've listed for standard stock car meetings would be a fair price for Premiership speedway. Closer to £20 for normal league meetings and then bump it up a little when the POs come around. As has been said above though, the price is what people are willing to pay for it. Look at the GP section of this forum, it's full of people decrying the price of tickets for the GP at Belle Vue and yet there was 5,500 people there. Yes, it's only an annual event the same as the Stock Car World Final, but the cheapest ticket was £69 for one meeting and people still paid it. -
How much actual racing do you see for that ?, Speedway works out at about £1.50 per minutes racing, I know from the rare occasions i have been to stocks that races last a lot longer so roughly how much per minutes racing?, I am going to take a wild guess and say something like 25p per minutes racing which is way way less than the cost of Speedway.

Agreed but some fans dont see it and promoters openly admit to doctoring tracks to there favour. -
Quite a bit of quite frankly ridiculous criticism of Kurtz & Bewley, the track was treacherous and if you didn't gate it was game over. Don't blame any rider for not taking risks let alone those two. Well done Ipswich, boooo to the weather.

Just seen the scores from last night, (as I was a "Dad Taxi" I only watched from Heat Four to Seven and then went to bed after watching four heats of riders riding around equidistant apart for four laps), and noticed Dan only got 4.... The same as Brady.... Yet, seemingly, he "tried" according to some on here, so escaped criticism from the Witches fans, (baffled why they would be bothered about the Aces riders but there you go)... A good job he did try though as if he didnt, his score would have been even less.... Only saw him in one race and he gated and won, but noticed he ran two lasts, which on that track would be no surprise if you didn't gate.. Amazing how this sport fails to "showcase" itself when on TV, most sports ensure the "playing field" provides the maximum opportunity for those competing to show off their elite skills to a watching nation.. UK Speedway, instead, actually allows riders like Emil and Dan to NOT demonstrate their elite skill set to those watching at home... Maybe if no GP/Elite riders next year then the money saved could go into track covers? As, getting the track raceable to provide entertainment, (especially on those "dodgy days") must be the No1 priority surely for promoters if this sport is ever to become more popular... I have watched 19 heats in the last few days and the vast majority have had riders almost a full straight apart, from front to back, with all riders a similar distance apart.. Not a great advert for "top level" UK Speedway is it? But it starts and ends with what "playing surface" is provided..

Hate is a very strong word and a bit over the top imo. Suppose it’s the world we now live in nowadays. Plantpots coming out with trash like that.
