  1. You have most people wetting themselves regularly on this forum. Have you considered stand up comedy Steve? Stop me if you’ve heard this one. There were 2 Australians, 2 Danes, 2 Poles and an Englishman...

  2. Jesus Christ, what a bunch of half bakes. Who’s gonna have the last word? me! me! no, me! Oh please Miss, let it be me! Difficult to believe these are adults with jobs/wives/kids Sad

  3. Your posts are neither funny or clever. Stop being a moron with idiotic posts about Coventry on a Poole thread. Pathetic.

  4. Pleased to see that Craig got 10 Paid 15 from 5 rides for Rybnik today. good luck in Abensberg tomorrow Craig

  5. Are you ok? You come across as a little bit mentally disturbed. You could just ignore them and do something productive

  6. its becoming beyond farcial and lack of communication is joke

  7. The current formula in the SGP with sixteen riders, twenty heats, two semis, and the final, and all points scored counting for the world cahmpionship is simply the best they ever had.

  8. Oh! So end of the season now? We were all under the impression that your (not so) magnificent 7 were going to smash other teams from the off. Sounds like you have lost faith in your starting 1-7 already

  9. Its Speedway in Poland always lots of pressure to score from fans, management, sponsors what does he expect.

  10. Depends on the length of gap, frequency, lack of communication, awful music, cold, whether you want burger..etc. I'd rather have a good efficient meeting & then enjoy ...

  11. Woz it's for fans like yourself that I will be attending Coventry next week and bringing people with me ..Your approach and attitude is great and I hope you get to watch your bees for years to come in whatever form just like us brummies do..

  12. Funny how czestochowa are leading the meeting and then the track gets mysteriously over watered which is unusual for gorzow and czestochowa fall apart

  13. Really odd this ..Wolves have done really well over years while running on a Monday other clubs has gone bust or lost loads of money like Eastie who ran on a weekend . But now because Belle Vue don't like running on Mondays somehow running on a Monday is now a massive problem for Wolves ?

  14. Though It was going to be slightly closer but Bees were just too good for IOW. Morley was excellent however. First 4 heats took an hour but fair play the following 11 heats were done by just after 5. Crowd was bigger than last week which is a bonus, i expect a few more when Birmingham visit next week.

  15. The opposition was very, very bad. Watched it and it was a one sided borefest. Still, you can only beat what is in front of your and Cook did that easily. Should boost his confidence as well as his pay packet.

  16. You are incorrect, Ladbrokes who own the stadium, decided to close the home straight, nothing to do with lack of speedway numbers. In 1996 when Wolves reached the KO Cup final we had to race the 'home' leg of the final at Long Eaton while alterations to the greyhound track were going on. Not exactly ideal eh ? But renting a track, you are totally in the hands of the landlord.

  17. According to Roy Clarke last night he would be missing for 10 days.Mind ,he also asked Nathan Greaves if he would ride as a guest next Saturday if asked. He might be a wee bit lonely if he does come up seeing as there's no meeting.

  18. bomber is the top scoring non qualifier so more than anybody he deserves a wild card but there should be no wildcard at all at world championship level

  20. So he thinks Sundstrom is Danish?? Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!! Taking the pee and he still gets it wrong, too funny!!

  21. The magnificent 7 is actually Rickardsson, Loram, Ward, Holder, Middleditch, Simmons and Boyce just so you know!

  22. This forum wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for a bit of banter. It would be more of a borefest than it is now. People should never be afraid of throwing down the gauntlet. Being afraid of a sentence coming back at you is ridiculous. And I believe by the end of the season we will smash Swindon. Bookmark it ready to throw it back!

  23. Couldnt disagree more and it hasnt worked in the past.. the polish kids are far and away the best in the world because they get used to riding under pressure early on. Tai Woffinden also rode in Poland early in his carrer and he is our only top line rider... if you want to get to the top you need to get used to riding under pressure

  24. Perfect weather for today's meeting, a nice 21°c. Hopefully a better crowd than last week!

  25. Brits have helped each other in the past...I guess the question is maybe whether there was anyone there to make the riders aware of the situation. In his first big meeting I can imagine that Dan wouldn't have been thinking about permutations for others...Even Robert might not have been thinking of Dan as a threat given his performance up to then...they would have needed someone to have a word...and I'm guessing no-one did that. Edit - Just saw teaboys comment. Hopefully Lambert will get one of the wildcards. Harris, not so much.

  26. I guarantee no other country in the world would have let this happen with Lambert needing a win to progress We really are the best at making things hard for ourselves

  27. One big league is nonesense. Fans will not come for Poole v Redcar or Berwick. How is that going to pack out stadiums? Clubs like Sheffield and Ipswich should be in the top flight and they way they acted when the premership wanted Mondays and Thursdays was frankly disgraceful.

  28. I think it's more about the mind of those that have the skill. I don't think you get anywhere if you haven't got the skill but some with less skill than others get further because of their application and mindset.

  29. He wouldn't be the first to underestimate Dan. I think Bewley did remarkably well for his first attempt at this level. Wrong helmet colour in his first ride, probably wasn't aware of the different FIM rule, last in his next ride when he was losing compression and his engine eventually gave up the ghost, a third behind KK and NKI, a second behind Kurtz and then a win in front of Lambert. I'm sure some lessons learnt and valuable experience gained and enough points to show he has nothing to fear at this level.

  30. So instead of saying he's retired, he has told everyone he's taking time out so we don't have to replace him? Using R/R and guests for the rest of the year is hardly going to be interesting and bring in the crowds for all the money we don't have... Any other team, if one of their riders was going to take time out would act straight away or at least communicate with their fans what the plan was...?

  31. Did Woffinden not cut his teeth at that level with Scunthorpe ? Were him and Josh Auty not reserves in the 3rd tier together . Auty might not have reached the same heights as Woffinden , but he's still done ok . As has the retired Bridger , Stevie Worrall and Paul Starke . Add to that an Aussie with a British father who rode in the 3rd tier at Buxton - Nick Morris

  32. Settled teams are the key and why I think the fixed night is a good thing. There is no getting away from the fact that there aren't enough riders to fill one big league unless it's a radical re think on the way forward. Which is more than overdue.

  33. He can’t help it. It’s a personality disorder. Google “someone who says the same thing over and over again”. It’s a bit OCD with dementia thrown in. Rather than take the P out of Gavan we should sympathise with his condition.

  34. Bellego showing what a rider can do under a good manager like Rosco, getting the best out of average riders. Holder always had the talent maybe Poole kept the wrong young Aussie? Still time for Kurtz to come good in the UK and get to the level of Morris over here, good young rider great style and hope he kicks on his career rather then stall

  35. Are you Poole fans deliberately obtuse? The seven I alluded to was your starting 7. You know, the team that was going to ‘smash’ everyone...

  38. This. Well done to Bewley for recovering like that but by heck that was dumb!

  39. If Bewley is racing in Denmark it will be on the Saturday 16th, if that is the case, and this weekends palaver is anything to go by, there's no way he can ride at Glasgow on Friday night? Dan doesn't have equipment in Europe so they'll have to drive over with it and you wouldn't want that trip from 10pm on a Friday night in Glasgow? Guest rider required again I'd say!!

  40. If years ago you said let's have 8 team leagues and if you finish fourth you can still win the league you would have been laughed at!

  41. I would say it’s more to do with the manager being an idiot- the team spirit within the club must be terrible. I see at least Drodz should be getting rides for Wroclaw tomorrow as Fricke is at 5

  42. I dont know WK a great question maybe i am wrong but Briggs was pretty professional really fit as well physically. stronger than most.Mauger was good really top class he took the sport forward but Briggs like you have said endless times was very unlucky and I believe he would and should of won his fifth title in 72.

  43. Why not, with the team Poole have Redcar could win

  44. I think the sport in Britain is beyond repair until a total colaspe and then rebuild from scratch but I don’t blame buster, yes he has been in charge but even when he makes a correct stand against something he gets slated, something I see is too few people having too many fingers in too many pies, it’s always the same names and that’s when conflict of interest happens and when you have that nothing gets acheived

  45. Since taking over as Chairman he's been an absolute failure. That's not me saying that's the opinion of other teams supporters as we'll now see

  49. I remember the wooden shed behind main grandstand ( about where turnstiles are now ) in the interval it was packed and difficult to get into to buy merchandise. God knows how much pocket money I spent on photos of Bettsy. Saved up to get race jackets. We made a speedway track around Fathers lawn. Even put tapes in from a pole to a tree. Local kids turned up on their bicycles to race. But my brother and I looked the best with our race jackets. Father wasn’t amused though as we destroyed the outside of his lawn. Happy days fond memories.
