If you deliberately post to wind people up then don't moan when you get flak back! If you can't take it don't dish it out !5 points

Unfortunately not, I get to around 2/3s of the home, and 4/5 away a season generally. I’d love to make every meeting, but the distance, work and my daughter do hold me back slightly. When I go though, I always try to bring a car load of people who wouldn’t normally go otherwise - friends, family etc, and I’m pleased to say that a handful of these have since become hooked and go week in, week out5 points

Don't know how anyone could slate this meeting. Been good. Lots of good racing.4 points

I will be travelling to this one. I have noticed fellow Workington fans at Redcar with a sprinkling of around a dozen Sheffield and Newcastle fans along with some from Scunthorpe and Belle Vue. I suppose if you have one of the best race tracks in the country along with a winning team you will attract the fans. Always felt entertained at the MPA , good presentation, decent food at decent prices and that Bear is always worth watching between races. Berwick usually push the Bears so I'm going 50-40.3 points

Steveo if the racing is good then it deserves to receive the plaudits for that. Equally if it’s dire then you get the other side of the coin. Sounds fair ? We have seen plenty of poor tracks on BT this season, and you have quite correctly called them for it. Now Poole have a perfect opportunity to showcase what a good track is all about with 2 class teams on show. Game on3 points

When Tom Spencer lay on the track and didn't move, it was obviously a serious and worrying situation but it was reassuring that he seemed able, eventually, to get into the ambulance with some assistance. I went to the loo as soon as the ambulance had left the track, and returned to the sight of a tractor going around, so immediately decided that was enough and left. So I don't know what announcements were made if any to explain what the situation was. But the whole episode has shown that attempting to start a second match at 8.30, especially an NDL match is not a good idea, especially as I think these matches are sadly more prone to long delays due to accidents. And of course that inadvisability includes the possibility that substantial track remedial work will be necessary in order to produce as safe a racetrack as possible for these inexpreienced riders. It was therefore ironic and annoying that, after the lengthy work done following the Glasgow match, the first heat of Cubs v Cradley revealed a lethal fault on the racing line on bend 3 which required yet more time to fix. And if the availability of additional medical cover is problematic when attempting to stage a double header, for whatever reasons whether that is cost or availability, then it's a no-brainer to just not attempt it in the first place.3 points

After the pathetic showing on Thursday, I can't believe there wasn't one rider out practicing after the meeting trying things out. Louis should have them all out there. Can't believe what Hawkins was doing either. The TS should've been used at the earliest possible time like heat 6-7, why wait until the match was virtually over and use it in heat 13 against Doyle & Batchelor who were both unbeaten and then to really extract the urine he puts Harris in heat 15. Clueless!!!3 points

I wouldn't have any of the Danish lot back, they just seem to sizzle when it gets hot2 points

Talking in general Rob.. Too much of a comfort zone for these lads is built by having the option to drop down.. Dan has left the second tier behind (or at least he should have), but no doubt next year his average will once again allow him to drop back down again and make him a desirable rider for some lower order team.. Woffy did it right by getting out, no point being a big fish in a tiny pond as that isn't a truly reflection of where you are in the bigger picture, therefore these lads need to face proper pressure every week rather than riding in front of 1000 or so with no one too bothered who wins... Riding under real pressure from fans and owners can only focus the mind more acutely.. I think some lads get far too much praise, far too early, without actually doing anything but beating mediocre domestic rivals, which can give a far too highly inflated reputation... After four or five seasons of racing I would suggest you are not too far away from where your true level is so if your still doubling up, your probably not going to make it to the top level as you really should have moved on..2 points

It’s not fixed, it’s better. Bad ruts and wavey still but at least the boys can race it harder. Tons better tho.2 points

Good meeting (pity about the result) and track definitely better than earlier in the year (although not perfect - but what track is - excepting the NSS?)2 points

The draw was the draw and we made the most of it. We are cup finalists, so should make the most of it. Granted, League form has been disappointing and, as I told Martin Phillips in the pits last night, I expected a lot better from this team and so did he. Perhaps (and hopefully) lessons have been learned.2 points

If the track is the same as it has been since the work was done it should be a good meeting.2 points

Seems strange they are willing to risk serious injury or worse but cannot cope with words written by strangers. Tis becoming a weird old world2 points

Steve, if the Somerset branch of the team is interested in having a go we might have a chance of a bonus point!!!2 points

Is that what he said? NO!!! He said that the sport "is littered with pretty poor riders who were good at one track". That doesn't mean "all" riders, and that doesn't mean they were "crap". You really don't help yourself by constantly accusing others of saying things they didn't...2 points

Why did you have to bother with that reply? Make you feel big? Troll... blocked2 points

What you mean by a few posters on here. In the after meeting conference he got big round of applause, which put a big smile on his face.2 points

He’s probably lighter in weight than the others as well, which i’m sure helps2 points

Doubtful cos Peterborough and Lynn won't make the play offs that only leaves Tipswitch I get your point tho.2 points

You wont name names but keep going on about Barnes. You only have to read your posts to see what your game is. Get a life dude. Barnes is not the go to guy, he just does what he can to help out when asked. After speaking to him last week he told me he lost a load of money on expenses and a days work to help out Len & Chris going to Manchester, but said Len helped him in the past so thought it would be the decent thing to do. You wont have to worry now anyway because he is injured, so now you will have to find someone else to slur on here. So come on name names it will save time because speedway is a small family and things have a way of eaking out.2 points

Never read such rubbish in all my life. What on earth do you mean, and what are you talking about ? Who are all these riders that Kent have alienated ? Which riders have been "treated in a negative light" ? And what does that mean anyway. Not the first time I've found "Sings" spouting nonsense. I'm an ex-Hammers fan who now attends most Mondays at Kent. The team has been hard hit by injuries this year, yet are still in a strong position. So what's to criticise ?2 points

Who are you referring to? If you mean Mulford he’d struggle to find a team on 5.18. Edit: You must mean Ablitt, thinking about it, but even then it’s not a great average for him because with a low points limit that could make him a 3rd heat leader in teams. For example, IOW started with RTD as 3rd heat leader on 5.22. But it’s a bit high to be a second string.2 points

It has been said by someone that the 40 minutes taken to prep the track between matches and the NL riders track walk did not unnecessarily delay proceedings because it took a similar time to remove the CL riders from the pits area and to then install the NL riders who then needed to warm up their bikes. If this is correct and was known about in advance then it is impossible to stage 2 matches in 4 hours and should not have been attempted.2 points

He doesnt need more racing because the issue is in his head. He isn't going to ride himself out of it. Woffinden was right. Its mental and frankly dan needs to grow a pair of balls. He has started to ride within himself and is timid on the track. I can see it and so can a multi world champion. I appreciate he is coming back from big injuries but unfortunately this is a tough motorsport and the best way to recover is to attack it. I was slandered on here earlier in the season for daring to suggest he needed a crash that would test his body, it would cope and he would be back where he needs to be mentally. Hes always been fragile dan. From that first head injury up at Newcastle. Motorsport is a mans game and until he shakes this crash out of his psyche he is going to become a very average rider and that is what we are seeing right now. Cant gate. No track craft because he isn't in the right place mentally. What he needs is a psychologist to help him overcome it, not more rides. May be an unpopular opinion but that is the way I see it.1 point

Been a good meeting, but there’s still too many bumps in the track to call it good Watch Musielak take the first bend in heat 14 - like he’s riding over a corrugated strip That’s not mentioning the rut on two which the track raker has been working on and has caught out a number of riders of both teams1 point

Even with a good track to ride on it's usually the case that N.L. riders are more prone to falling as they are not so experienced so what would happen if it had been the other way around on Saturday and we were hanging around for ages waiting for the match to eventually finish before the more important Lions v Glasgow one could start? And yes I have watched loads of N.L. matches going back to the Cougars and The Storm at Coventry and the Bees riding at Leicester.1 point

With Max in the team we would probably lose by around 20 points going on our previous results there. So with r/r for him I can see us maybe sneaking a consolation point. Our best chance of winning is if the track gets a good soaking a couple of hours before the meeting1 point

So basically, if you sign a naff team then you can sack them all and have another go with the full limit still in play?1 point

Bomber is a good example of why I think they should change the rules with regards to team building. I've probably said this countless times but when a rider loses his job and he's actually slightly improved his average (usually a 6 or 7) just so teams can get one main rider out... it's unfair So what they should do is simple and helps teams be competitive... For example I'll use Bomber and Allen Say Bombers season start average was 8 but now its 5 His club should be able to move him out and bring in a rider to the equivalent of his starting averages, what the other riders averages are or total team points is irrelevant against that one rider So Ipswich should be allowed to release him and replace with someone averaging 8 or less... Now what will make team building and changes interesting... bomber is under performing but witches are allowed to replace him on his start average, but when released other clubs can sign bomber on his current average of 5. Now look at Allen, say he started on a 4 but is now 6, if Ipswich wanted to replace Allen then they can only replace with his start average so bring someone else in on a 4, if another club wanted to use him they would go with his current average of a 6 So what it does is, it protects the rider, increase your average and it's less likely you will lose your ride throughout the season, under perform and you put yourself at risk. Would certainly make team building and changes more interesting, the whole team building total should only be relevant before a wheel is turned i.e. to build a team1 point

He's being overshadowed by fellow reserve Connor Bailey recently , he's definitely struggling away from Ashfield. Yesterday was a disappointment, after losing a match we really should have won at Leicester , I was optimistic about our chances here , but we never got going and never really recovered from being 22-8 down after 5 heats . Take nothing away from the home side , they were much better than us on the day1 point

As a Lynn asset though Lisa you would think Lynn would be quick out of the blocks to have got King lined up. Harris has been poor of late and is on the back 9 of his Career now. Should go out and grab 12 points tonight.1 point

Kent haven't struggled to find suitable /available 2.00 riders what they have done is alienate those that would be available to cover for them after struggling once when they were given late notice by Gilkes. Since then they have persisted with using a way below par Barnes who is as fragile as his equipment and enjoys the photos pre-meeting more than the track time. Ablitt stepped down because he was going to get an average and was woefully out of form so was at risk of being dropped and saddled with an average over 4 rather than 2/3 for next season. Clouting is lucky Kent were desperate having been lumped with an average nobody else would take him on and Mulford comes in now as the options have run out. The 4 meetings rule is good to prevent long term abuse of reserves in form but will end some riders careers as its very easy to get a high average, get replaced and be un-signable.1 point

Is Mildenhall the most dangerous track in the country? I might be wrong but there always seems to be a high number of incidents, fallers and withdrawals. Happened again today. Given that refs complete a match summary and have the benefit of the Incident Recorders report, I wonder if the SCB / BSPA use this information? I’m sure the sports insurers would be interested. On second thoughts maybe keep it in house, you never know what damage it could do.1 point

As a London Ambulanceman I can tell you that there is no order on the form of a queue with Preference given to NHS Ambulances. Often with the abuse of Ambulances cut fingers , drunks , headaches etc are just some of the patients that arrive at A&E in the back of an ambulance, and if for example a St Johns vehicle arrived with a patient in a serious condition they would be seen immediately to make them wait just because they were being conveyed in a non NHS vehicle would make zero difference1 point
