Thomsen back odviously he hasn't shown he is good anough yet, also the Dane is aloud to have a stint at reserve.What real shabby treatment Nathan Stoneman and Danyon Hume have been dealt this season really poor we should be helping our lads not hindering them.

Thoroughly deserved point for Berwick - Summers was excellent alongside Covatti but solid points throughout the team. Slightly disappointing performance from the Bears but a good hard fought win. Think the track caught us out a bit at the start of the meeting and not a huge amount of passing. Wright was superb and probably the difference between the sides, a couple of great tussles with Summers. Riss started well and important score again from Andersen.

I know he wasn't your cup of tea, but I always admired his natural ability. To have him at the bees was the icing on the cake for me. He pulled the team together IMO.

Oh yes Roman! I remember an evening at Brandon when he was riding a new " all singing & dancing" GM. I'm sure it was Bees v Reading and Roman was " lined up" & passed by Jan Andersson on his dilapidated looking old Jawa. Roman wasn't impressed, after the race finished he rode up alongside Jan & gesticulated towards the engine. I thought WW3 was about to start, Andersson took offence , believing that Roman was accusing him of having a "large engine" and there were ructions in the pits area. I think Andersson insisted that the engine was examined there & then and if my memory serves me Tommy Knudsen took the top off the engine and measured its capacity. Everything checked out fine and we all moved on.

At last, one of the better meetings that was enjoyed.... The biggest surprise of the night was that the Stars reach their interval first, 2 races quicker than the other two meetings. Slicker track, Better racing, No tractors. I had to question myself, was this really AFA or was I dreaming. Keep it up, it's about time we got it right....

Spot on steve , Alun is better off out of it but his record stacks up pretty well he has overachieved and yes he can move on with his head held high.Will anyone do any better i think not we are where we are my interest is with the youth and Neil Vatcher as we have some nice prospects being produced in the NL with Drew Kemp leading the way.

Unless there has been another posted, I believe the video you are referring to was taken by me and posted here to disprove someone else's claims that Dugard headbutted Vissing. - it was after Kyle Newman clashed with someone much later in the meeting. He pushed him away from two riders squaring up. It wasn't a physical assault don't be so ridiculous. And it was up against the fence, nowhere near the centre green.

It was Barker Tungate and Garrity. Don't know why/ if Barker pulled out. Then it was a Tungate no show, and last few hours Garrity can't get there. Not sure it's Busters fault why those 3 pulled out late.

Thanks for your feedback Dickie and Harry. Felt good from the centre green with the match really coming alive in the closing races. Got to admire those guys. Really fearless and their efforts were rightly well received. Thanks to Garry and Debbie for asking me to stand in for Spencer. Hope to be back on duty for you before the end of the season.

Well by the sounds of it the Peterborough lads give it all they could. I thought this meeting would be the most one-sided meeting. Of course it was not. Much to my shame.

Well Done Rosco, I doubt very much it's a compensated role, so thanks for your service. You can only work with the tools your given and when some of your competition is having money thrown at them for engines and tuning etc it's not hard to see why we don't finish on top despite having Tai.

Looking at it now Swindon have to be the favourites but come the play/offs that will be a different test and anything is possible.All us Swindon fans would all have to say we have been very very lucky in this campaign in securing Rasmus Jensen.A top five of Doyley,Lampart,Ellis,Batch, Tobi, was nowhere near as powerful as the one we have now.

Sorry to disappoint , but I did see a video posted on here showing Mr M Dugard deliberately knocking Claus Vissing backwards on the Centre green at the first/second bend area. It was a physical assault. The promoters clearly need to ensure better discipline from their staff.

It is with much sadness to learn this morning of the death of Phil Spence (Spensites) following a long and brave battle against cancer. Phil was one of the pioneers of the Midland Development League in its early days providing websites free of charge for Long Eaton, Coventry-Mercia and the Castleford Kings. He was also a sponsor of several junior riders. His enthusiasm and tireless online promotion of the MDL was key to it's early success. Nothing was too much for Phil and all of his MDL club websites were often updated on a daily basis at his own time and expense. Probably not known to many outside the junior ranks, Phil will be greatly missed by those that knew him. A genuinely nice guy and one of the sports unsung behind the scenes hero's. Rest in peace mate. Laurence (Main Man) if your'e reading this maybe it would be a fitting tribute to name this years league trophy after him?

By my reckoning (i.e. I'm not discounting the possibility I may have overlooked a result somewhere) last night was Lions biggest away win since Sheffield in 1980 [50-28].
