Congratulations to Poole on finishing top. I certainly think it carries some prestige even though it doesn’t decide the title. A real pity our season has finished with such a whimper but covering the two Danes has proved impossible, six points from their rides tonight when they would probably score somewhere between treble and quadruple that between them. Big changes needed for next season.

Whilst i get what you are saying in reality the MDL style leagues should not contain riders that are learning to ride (although sadly in places it does) it should be riders who are bike competent and are honing their racing skills and techniques in preparation for the step up to the next level. The competent riders along with lower level NL riders would produce good racing as all you need for good entertainment is a raceable surface and competition that is of similar abilities.

Big well done to Poole on coming up on the rails to finish at the top. Lets hope all 4 teams going into the play-offs injury free and stay that way. May the best team win. As for Lynn it’s never looked right since the get go and the changes didn’t do anything to correct it.

What a huge turn around after the interval. Shows just how good Middlo is as our manager, getting the riders in the right frame of mind to do the job in hand. we probably won’t win it this year but we are still in there fighting to retain. #PiratePride.

Shame for him and a shame for us. It was frustrating watching him ride Monday. He had a few opportunities to give it a good go and he just didn't go for it. All hype and no substance. That must really hurt for him too because I would have thought he was expecting to score 6/7 every meeting. To not be as good at something that is the main thing you base your life upon must really cut deep. Maybe he needs a spell on a slicker track that is more suited to him so he can get some confidence up and prove everybody wrong as an away rider next season. Riders with a point to prove are worth Their weight in gold! He should go somewhere else with that attitude and it will be the making of him. There is a 6 point rider in him. He just needs to find it.

Fingers crossed buster succeeds in getting a FIM meeting at the showground next season, we have the best track in the country and we need a big international meeting to showcase this. Plus it might bring in some people that have never seen speedway before which is always good !

Stoneman certainly has the potential but you just feel when watching him that he’s bound to fall at some point. 1 mistake can cost you this meeting.

So it’s Leicester vs Cradley with dates TBC and next weekend it’s Belle Vue vs Kent! Unfortunately Leicester are going to embarrass Cradley but the other tie is hard to predict and so is the final! Belle Vue’s home advantage could carry them through, Kent look the strongest side on paper now finally everyone is fit but then Leicester topped the league! Least clear cut for a few years imo.

Forgetting they were favourites at the start of the season, finished top as predicted but are underdogs, same old record every year.

Do you seriously think that IF Wolves meet Poole that the reserves scores would be the same again ?

When you assume....etc. Because of his age, I assumed 10 years ago, he'd be long gone from the SGP. I was wrong. I assumed anyone deep into their 40s would no longer to be able to compete at the top level. I was wrong. If you base your assumptions (and you have) on speedway history and other riders, you are making a mistake. To repeat myself, there is no other rider in history doing what he has done at his age. He doesn't fit into any conventional template or graph you - or anyone else - might have in mind. Is he in the top 15 riders in the world still? If you don't believe he is, then I'll challenge you again, make the case for 15 riders being better than him. Name them. Make the case for Antonio Lindback, Janusz Kolodziej, Robert Lambert etc. If you truly believe he is no longer in the world's top 15, it should be very easy for you.

Paper never refuses ink. Chapman already made his and the club's position clear in August so unless something is confirmed externally and officially around that then I wouldn't take too much note of anything else.

Crowds for the average stock cars meeting at King's Lynn are quite deceiving to the general public. While it does look far more spectators than Speedway, 20-30% of the crowd are actually the drivers families and mechanics that don't pay to get in. On average, I'd say the stock car crowds are not that much larger, about 200-300 more. As a business though for Buster, with Speedway he has to pay money out, with Stocks money is only coming in. Just on that basis stock cars take priority over Speedway.

I think if everyone turns up, there are enough people in there to take point each other that 12 or 13 points may take the title this year.
