Congratulations to Poole on finishing top. I certainly think it carries some prestige even though it doesn’t decide the title. A real pity our season has finished with such a whimper but covering the two Danes has proved impossible, six points from their rides tonight when they would probably score somewhere between treble and quadruple that between them. Big changes needed for next season.

Whilst i get what you are saying in reality the MDL style leagues should not contain riders that are learning to ride (although sadly in places it does) it should be riders who are bike competent and are honing their racing skills and techniques in preparation for the step up to the next level. The competent riders along with lower level NL riders would produce good racing as all you need for good entertainment is a raceable surface and competition that is of similar abilities.

Big well done to Poole on coming up on the rails to finish at the top. Lets hope all 4 teams going into the play-offs injury free and stay that way. May the best team win. As for Lynn it’s never looked right since the get go and the changes didn’t do anything to correct it.

What a huge turn around after the interval. Shows just how good Middlo is as our manager, getting the riders in the right frame of mind to do the job in hand. we probably won’t win it this year but we are still in there fighting to retain. #PiratePride.

Shame for him and a shame for us. It was frustrating watching him ride Monday. He had a few opportunities to give it a good go and he just didn't go for it. All hype and no substance. That must really hurt for him too because I would have thought he was expecting to score 6/7 every meeting. To not be as good at something that is the main thing you base your life upon must really cut deep. Maybe he needs a spell on a slicker track that is more suited to him so he can get some confidence up and prove everybody wrong as an away rider next season. Riders with a point to prove are worth Their weight in gold! He should go somewhere else with that attitude and it will be the making of him. There is a 6 point rider in him. He just needs to find it.

Fingers crossed buster succeeds in getting a FIM meeting at the showground next season, we have the best track in the country and we need a big international meeting to showcase this. Plus it might bring in some people that have never seen speedway before which is always good !

Maybe the problem isn’t with the bikes, engines or mechanics

Stoneman certainly has the potential but you just feel when watching him that he’s bound to fall at some point. 1 mistake can cost you this meeting.

Buster wasn't there so was prepared by A N other.You could tell.I said i thought the Swindon match was the slickest i have seen it for some time.Well this one beats that,that was like a Southern track,track.Played into Pooles hands,suppose it showed with Wells getting a race win. We need a bit of a clear out for next season.Jorgensen was one of the ones i thought had to go.But after talking to him tonight what a great man to have a chat with.I've had a bit of a change of heart.I asked if he wanted to come back which of course he does(probably knows he will be paid).I said his away form has to improve,to which he said he realises that and that is the biggest thing to work on and more.But he absolutely loves the Lynn track,he said he can't understand why some riders just don't like riding a grippy track,he loves it he wished other tracks were the same.I must admit i have never seen a rider go so fast into the bends as he does. Roll on 2020 and lets not be too loyal,lets get a team that can challenge for the play-offs.

The worst thing possible would be to take Ipswich for granted. Therefore I'm sure Neil will have the boys up for it over the 2 legs. Job is only half done and still a long way to go without the Ipswich riders been given extra incentive with Poole appearing overconfident. personally I give respect to Ipswich for getting to the playoffs.

As usual Rodders, for those of us who don't see the rag you're missing the vital detail.

Poole fans whinging that Lynn used Ty for Tofty against Swindon, but Harris against Poole. Bit of a joke if you ask me. I didn't see any Poole fans moaning last week, when Buster was honest about Lambert unlike BV, he could of said he aggravated his neck injury. But he used a NL rider, while Wells intermittent shoulder injury played up, and replacement scored a handy 8+1 from 4. Get over it..

He was rubbish last time he rode, they would have been better off keeping Simon Lambert.

It’s unlikely to be a good meeting because the shale is crap for speedway, nothing to do with doctoring the track. It will however almost certainly be smooth without lumps, bumps and holes.

If Cookie and Rasmus turn up with their Riders Championship attitude they won't do much. Dark horses for me will be Jake Allen & Ben Barker.

I get it you are never wrong. It was a decent meeting and a good atmosphere because of the larger than normal attendance of the Redcar fans who created some banter. I agree you used to have plenty of poor meetings at Worky,

The sport is run for the benefit of the riders, not the fans. What we want does not matter, we are just an irritant to the promoters. In the end there will be no fans left, just empty stadiums.
