Now that the 2nd Lublin Grand Prix is over let me get back to Falubaz, who has no clue about myself and talks utter rubbish. I am not an emigrant, or educated at the primary school level, but the 1969 Poznan University graduate. My first speedway meeting that I watched in Bydgoszcz was in late 50's. Mieczysław "Mike" Polukard, Poland's first world finalist from Bydgoszcz, was my childhood hero, so anyone can guess how old I am. Whilst living in London, every Friday I cheered for Zuper Zenon and Hackney Hawks. For my retirement I returned back home to Bydgoszcz and still follow speedway worldwide..so don't believe anything Falubaz says...just ignore him.11 points

Well THANK YOU for nothing!!! Do he fans EVER come into consideration??? Money wasted on Leicester call off and now this. I sympathise with Birmingham’s problems but this is NO WAY to treat loyal fans. To say I am furious is an understatement ...........5 points

I think we had the product a few seasons ago at Eastbourne and clubs like Birmingham and Kent, with the right balance of good racing and cost, the NL as it was at that time, too successful though for the upper echelon of the BSPA , so they had to put a stop to that. I know this will open up the 'but it's a development league', but it didn't do much harm to for the likes of Brennen, Kemp plus too many to mention.5 points

Only on a Monday or Thursday... unless the driver is also driving for Sainsbury's and they have to draft a driver in from Asda5 points

Well done ref. Lindgren has been riding on the edge far too much in the past couple of years.4 points

This could have reverted to Edinburgh in the league rather than it being on 15 September and it would have followed your logic. But of course visiting supporters don't count do they?4 points

To be fair.. It is UK Speedway.. Hardly surprising is it? I am to be honest, given the clear track record and history, surprised anyone would plan in anything around the UK fixtures given so much can change at a moments notice.. Its brave people who do..3 points

Watching them spend all this time working on the track reminds me of someone trying to give a bald man a haircut..... Hope they cure that fault on bend two - vital race for Kemp coming up. Needs a second to guarantee silver while a win would need Gusts to drop a point in his final ride to force a run-off. It's not looking likely, given Gusts' opponents in his last race. Either way Drew has put in an outstanding performance - only rider to beat Gusts - so far3 points

The fact that the stadium owners have been spending money on the re-shaping of the greyhound track would suggest that they don't have any immediate plans to knock the place down for housing. That doesn't guarantee the speedway will return of course.Time will tell.3 points

That's why you need to keep upto date with the speedway rule book, it changes quicker than the red, amber, green holiday destination list.2 points

The was before track changes and the track had dirt on it,Complin Clews and Makovsky made some spectacular passes.2 points

Some strange decisions from Havvy,Hume surely should have had more rides.2 points

Bad management. Why no Hume in Heat12? Hed just won Heat 11. Not rocket science. But then again, it is Havvy................2 points

Similar to him telling us every other heat that the tapes are computer controlled now. At least 20 times during this weekend ffs2 points

You do not need to explain yourself. Well done anyway. It appears we have a ''troll'' lurking x2 points

If the league takes priority as they imply Edinburgh still have to visit Birmingham in the league so why not just change Wednesday to the league fixture and the Edinburgh fans who had planned on going wouldn’t be left out of pocket !!2 points

Lindgren should have been excluded there2 points

I think people would pay to watch it if they were getting value for their money and in all a good night out. Sadly they are not.2 points

Why Speedway is failing? .......how about not enough people want to pay to watch it ?2 points

I think when the NL 'peaked' about 5 seasons ago it was probably around the standard of a Championship Lite today, so would be ideal. At one point we had Adam Ellis( on the way up) and Ellis Perks in the team ( and still didn't win the playoff that year). Similar standard today as of then, would still lead to the likes of Brennen, the Thompson's etc improving to heat leader status, and the likes of Abblit progressing maybe more quickly than now, and still leave room for the emerging talent to come in at reserve. Maybe be able to expand the second halves at these meetings and always have SDL and MDL meetings etc after to bring that talent. Won't happen though .2 points

Great to see track covers in use again.. So many meetings get called off prior to race night (now seemingly days in advance), yet the night itself could have easily seen the meeting take place...2 points

The entrance and exit of the bends were narrow,so they took bit of the football pitch to widen them to try and make more racing lines ,unfortunately it’s not had the desired effect as there is still only one fast racing line when the track is slick.(which seems to be most weeks).Gate and go speedway.1 point

Imagine taking this business plan to the Dragons Den? If they still weren't biting you could add in that you will plan your opening hours around when your employees can fit you in to come and work for you, rather than when your customers want you to open.. Can't understand why all four wouldnt be crawling over themselves to throw money at you...1 point

Given my street is now passable only by canoe I'd say that correct call was made!!1 point
-
Well you're in the "some won't agree" camp then, which is OK, however for me an early call off means I can watch the Lions rugby, followed by the Speedway GP. It means I can plan my day and evening. Call off's on the day are generally time consuming and costly for everyone. The way it is, we all know what's happening and why. Whether we agree with it or not is another matter, as articulated in the statement.1 point
