History means nothing! Are you being serious? Then a dig at a very successful club hoping they will end. Forgive me if incorrect but that is exactly how your post reads. I have supported Peterborough for many years, most began with little success (apart from 4TT with home advantage). Then finally after the Hawkins era we became winners, NL and PL. Memories that will stay with me forever, even if the bulldozers eventually move in. Poole have had tough times but found success and a legacy of success. I’ve not always agreed with rule manipulation but it’s been going on long before Poole.4 points

In reality then Tai didn't want to ride in Britain or for BV at all - he simply wanted a well paid practice facility.......4 points

I for one am happy to see Poole ride on in 2022. With no team to support I have of my own I now since the track I supported closed down I now class myself as someone who supports the sports as whole. Speedway can ill afford anymore tracks to close. Ultimately regardless of Club rivalries they need to realise that for the sport to thrive again they need these Teams to survive and prosper.3 points

Could you provide proof of the above post ? Or are you just relaying what those little voices in your head are telling you?3 points

I doubt many Poole fans wanted the demise of Coventry, I loved trips to Brandon, seeing Andreas Jonnson fly past Tony Rickardsson and Leigh Adams was a sight to behold. Yes we had a rivalry but the sport needs that. I am very sad it has gone.2 points

That would be one for the promotion to answer not me. It has no bearing on whether the team announcement method was a good idea however. You know that but for some reason you’re insisting on trying to sound like a marketing strategist.2 points

Ivan Mauger did a season for Exeter only riding in the home meetings: so it has been done before.2 points

The little footnote to the announcement, telling us Ben is now a Berwick asset, is a real boost for the club, too..,2 points

Yet the crowds were bigger last season, than the last few years we were in the Prem, and with costs lower in the Champ, definitely was a winning situation all round.2 points

The Finnish final IS on Feb 26th at Varkaus until it’s postponed or cancelled for any reason. They are also planning another event earlier in the season, but thats not confirmed AFAIK. It made me smile a bit reading that a potential ice racing fan cant make it to Varkaus because the airport has closed. It was funny because of the airport, didnt mean to be mean in anyway. When it closed a local Finnair administrator actually became somewhat famous as she continued to work there for a while before her retirement. She was the only one there and had a tv doc and many newspaper reports made of her… Go to svemo.se and look for isracing and tävlingskalendar and you’ll find about half a dozen meetings to be ridden in Sweden. The big ones are the SM on March 18th and Individual Nordic on March 19th up in the north of Sweden. And of course the wc quali next weekend in Övik.2 points

I think trackprat has cralled back into his hole, after being reminded by Andy of our latest success1 point

Not all Poole fans, i think it's very sad, to see pictures of the stadium today is horrible, use to like my trips to Brandon. Will never forget that night when we were 16pts down, and came back and won the cup, sorry for mentioning another trophy1 point

Fraser Bowes 3rd in mildura masters, beating Josh Pickering. Seems to be making good progress this winter, love to see him in the stripes at some point1 point

Using R/R for a rider that never even came or had any intention of coming to England to replace a rider that was scoring nothing. Good enough blend?1 point

I’m no Poole fan but 1 I’m glad there continuing 2. How do you cheat at speedway i to look forward to hearing his evidence of this they won we didn’t, we look forward to this year when it’s up to clubs like mine to try and finish above them I’m still not happy about the Lawson situation but I have no evidence to say Poole have anything to do with it. All I can say is roll on the new season.1 point

I think that there's no doubt that Simmo was the better rider (certainly in individual meetings) but Betts was the better team man. I think given the choice, if I were a promoter, I'd rather have had the latter.1 point

And how did we cheat last season, get over it, we won the double and you hate it, roll on the new season, let's do it again, and you hating it again1 point

If you think tai will put 500 plus on the gate, it will not happen. When tai last rode for wolves people said he would put 500 600 on the gate ever week well the fact is that did not happen. On saying that it would be great to see tai ride over here again1 point

And short term can also mean up to 3yrs as other tracks do but still call it short term lease .1 point

Yep, hope that proves to be right. Last year Bates was a liability from the beginning and Proctor was vulnerable, so if this 7 can gel and still be a team come end of June with no debates about changes going on, happy days!1 point

Give up mate. You’ve taken a position that most agree is bizarre but you feel like you need to stick with.1 point

Indeed, hearing what Ipswich paid Crump last year I would think Tai phoned Louis first.1 point

Without going into details, when Chris Holder and Darcy Ward were riding together at Poole, there was a suggestion by another team that they would sign a GP star for their team as long as each away track paid them £1,000 when he rode at their venue. The Poole promotion pointed out that some of the best crowds other teams had were when Poole brought Chris and Darcy to their tracks - more because they wanted to see their riders beat these two upstart Aussies rather than because they wanted to admire their skills! - and Poole hadn’t asked to be compensated. But we would if there was to be a GP star levy. The matter wasn’t mentioned again.1 point
-
We have to remember, if they don't pull it off the we can count our lucky stars that there is no relegation1 point

I think you're missing the fact that the reveal was created by volunteers. It's not a case of reserving things for new audiences etc, it's at no cost to the club so why not be creative for current audience AND new audience1 point

Leicester have 3 solid heat leaders who are not quite yet on a downward spiral & 4 riders with bags of potential who have some experience at least. Could be break through year for any of those 4.1 point

think there biggest problems were injuries at the wrong time of the season for Glasgow Arron summer one year Paul Stark another and not getting the same rider to cover them1 point
-
Couldn't agree more, for first time under the facenna ownership we have 4 riders in the team with potential instead of the potential to be the rider they used to be. 4 guys under 23 and Hume starting to reach his potential after years of gettin left on the scrapheap. Sure be ups and downs along the way but the entertainment value should be right up there1 point

I'm sure I've seen her at Lynn while she's been staying at Sandringham, wading through the puddles in the back straight car park and queueing for a burger and a pint during during the interval. I wonder if she pays the extra pound to sit or likes to stand on the bends and get a scalp full of shale?1 point

Mort and Gordon’s efforts over a period of years were enormous. The way they were treated was disgraceful.1 point

I dont want it to but i wouldnt be fussed if it did.. its only what Poole fans deserve after they reacted to happily to the demise of Coventry0 points
