Just seen a pic of Worrall wearing the new club race suit. Plenty of traditional red & yellow (less black) which is fine by me. Ah, nostalgia……although it’s not what it used to be!2 points

Mike, just because your dad is ok does not mean every senior is. Your saying a pensioner can afford an extra £4 or £5 per meeting so some family can get in cheaper….. I think you judging things wrongly. Seniors are stuck with rises just the same as a younger one, and seniors, mostly, are not in a position to go out and earn additional income. If seniors stop going to meetings speedway will be right in the dumps.2 points

Great idea. If there’s one sport that is likely to have the most team personnel changes for a season it’s speedway. Before the sticker album is released it will be out of date and will become progressively less relevant from there on. So what sector of the sport’s fan base is this aimed at? Pensioners love collecting and swapping stickers with their mates don’t they? If by chance kids are interested, try explaining to them why Johnny Foreigner rides for his team and another one on a different page in the album. ‘Of course it’s not the same rider son/daughter, look at the photos, one is clean shaven and the other has a few days stubble’. The sticker album will presumably be very unsticky to allow for moving and replacing rider photos on a regular basis. Don’t know why this idea wasn’t thought of before. This marketing game changer may require you to get meetings very early to ensure that you are not one of the thousands turned away due to capacity attendances.1 point

I didn't think clubs were allowed to sign foreign protected assets without them representing them immediately anymore.......1 point

Funny that cos I'm on Google Chrome and Windows 10 and it would not load in any format... and I tried .Pdf .Png .JPeg and even as a Word doc and nothing... Seems a bit of an anti climax now... Never mind thanks mods and hopefully some people find it interesting... Regards THJ1 point

6 meetings,,,,, mmmm, normally opening night. Opening night is always a bit of a lottery,, and very often just a gating contest. I don't have a clue on which way this will go,, so will say draw1 point

More races for each rider which means more money in their pockets too - what’s not to like?1 point

One of the best posts I have seen in years and something that I had been thinking that Promoters would definitely consider for this season. I was thinking along the lines of; 15 heats per meeting. 6 man teams Each rider programmed for 5 rides per meeting Each rider guaranteed 4 rides per meeting Tactical subs allowed when home team is 8 points behind and away teams 6 points behind. Tactical Subs only allowed between heats 4 and 12. Last 3 heats to be nominated heats. Some radical changes to a speedway meeting, but would make meetings more exciting and tactical, as well as addressing the problems of rider shortages.1 point

How is it poor? Comparing to last year..... Fricke is a like-for-like replacement for Bewley. Kurtz, Wright, Brennan and Etheridge are the same people. So the comparison is that you think Lebedevs and Blodorn are much poorer than Worrall and Worrall? I'm not sure I'd agree. I'd suggest they may be stronger.... Last year BV finished runners-up to Peterborough. But while BV are stronger this year, Pbro are weaker due to experienced super-reserve Pedersen being replaced by inexperienced Basso, and all the other old-guard being another year older. The only problem is that some of the other 4 teams may be stronger, and I'd say that applies mainly to Sheffield.1 point

Given Ellis last season at Scunthorpe I would rather have Vissing every day of the week1 point

So extrapolate this out to see why it makes sense. All Russian sports people are banned by international sports authorities. The Russian authorities than ban them all. So all Russian sports people are therefore now allowed to compete in international events. Representing some banner but in reality representing Russia. Massive boost for Putin. "I told you they wouldn't ban our sports people". It's like telling a fat bloke he's banned from eating pies and then giving him a pie as soon as he says he doesn't want one. As long as he pretends he's not a fat bloke, even though everyone knows he is.1 point

It makes you question whether in the act of becoming a Speedway Promoter do these numpties forget all and disengage their brains from remembering what it is to be an actual supporter paying at the gate ? How often is a drawn match likely to be a reflection of a hard fought match that in the end we usually say 'a draw was a fair result' or 'It would be a shame for anyone to have lost tonight'. How often is a drawn match a 'bad result' that needs to be modified by an extra race ? And that after a nominated heat 15 anyway. And with the match points reflecting the away team's success at running so close as well. And a different crappy point scoring for that one race.1 point

Exactly, and giving the home team a point and the away team two seems a good way to settle it to me.1 point
-
And it's the dispicable 4-3-2-0 scoring to contrive a definite result. A draw is often a very good and fair result especially for an away side, achieved with a full 7 riders (hopefully). So now it's just down to which team has just the best top two only and the justice/joy of a hard fought draw is lost. Ridiculous to change it. Boils my p!ss.1 point

And being a youth event may bring in plenty of young kids to watch.... Which can only be good for the track to bulld on going forwards if it happens..1 point

Quite agree. Getting an important meeting under their belt will give them some faith, and allow them to build on that and continue work on the spectator facilities. Great time to have a meeting IMO.1 point

What make tv is it? I got my Disc+ then found out it’s not compatible with LG television. You may have to add the app to your tv, don’t know anything about PS4. if you get the app you will be able to have a week trial but then it’s pay for. Other ways to get it, still have to pay for it though………. If you got a smart phone or tablet you can get Discovery+ app, it will play but a bit small so you can cast it to the tv with Chromecast device that plugs into HDMI on your tv. Chromecast device is about £35. Plus you still need to pay for Disc+. Or buy a Roku box. I got one off eBay “unused but open box” for £32 instead of about £60. You can get the Disc+ app on that, but still need to pay. If you decide on Roku I can tell you which Roku box to get. Having Roku box gives you access to loads of apps which you may, or may not, find good. Not seen any free way, sorry0 points
