Turbo Twins?? Chris Holder and Darcy Ward were given that title for a reason. Giving that name to the Thompson's is the same as putting Ant & Dec in the same company as Morecambe & Wise.6 points

Feel for King, it isn’t just tonight he hasn’t been on it all season. Need to support him though because he’s a damn good rider at this level. On another note, what a class act Doyle is. Dragged us out of a hole more than once. Is there another rider around that’s not just as good as him, but gives his all every time in our country? Worth his weight in gold this fella.3 points

So, what your saying is that 'crescent girl' is actually a dick?3 points

Christ no, not even on a 2.00 average, I’d rather we ran with three riders in a heat.3 points

Everything would've been fine if Dan Gilkes didn't have that awful crash. Make up our own rules and bring Simon Lambert in as a rising star I say.2 points

What's happened to Torun's track? It was a great race track with lots of passing but now it's just a gate and go track like Prague.2 points

All I can say is the girl anchor is sizzling hot.2 points

I'm not questioning that at all, clearly a hell of a lot of money has been spent up there, and I hope to be impressed by the facilities one day when I finally get the chance to go2 points

I think the fact Ashfield is being used for the GP Challenge is a fair indication of the standard of the track (and stadium facilities too)2 points

Hopefully Berwick will have learned the lesson of a few ago where they booked Lee Complin as a guest then gave him and the rest of the riders little or no material to work with.2 points

Grey area? Depends if the rider as used Just For Men or not!2 points

I doubt very much that any money changes hands although if anyone organises a collection to get rid then I'll get my wallet out.2 points

Yes, all fair points, when i say the track is not conducive to junior racing I am referring to the lesser (junior) riders of a CL team that i see trying to get around Leicester. Nobody stands out, I think it's fair to say even the highly rated Anders Rowe has failed to get to grips with the track and even the likes of Drew Kemp & Jordan Palin have failed to ever show anything. Anyway, you may just have sold it to me you rascal, I'll see what the teams are like after Saturday and what the weather is like on Sunday and may just pop along to see what all the fuss is about2 points

I’d have been happy with a point before the start but left feeling a bit frustrated it wasn’t more in the end. Two really poor starts from Niels in 10 & 12 cost him. The outside line didn’t work all meeting so what on earth Jorgensen was thinking in heat 14, god only knows. Just left the inside open lap after lap and eventually Riss took the invite. Doyle was head and shoulders above everyone and never really looked like being beaten. Even when behind, only a matter of time before hitting the front. Riss looking more and more like the rider we know he can be. Worst I’ve seen King by a mile. For the Stars, impressed again with Lewi and surprised he didn’t get the nod in heat 15, though Lawson did spring into life a bit after being quiet early on. How Jorgensen didn’t stack it after picking up in heat 10 I’ll never know. The team is looking solid though and other than Wolves away, been competitive everywhere. Mom - R/R for Starke. Match winning 8+1, what a stroke of luck for Ipswich he didn’t make it2 points

Impossible, as we have informed so many times he doesn't do forums and the like.2 points

The youth championship was in the fixture list at the start of the season. It's been in the programme every week. It was announced multiple times at the track v. Poole. Agree it's poor the websites is not updated regularly but the meeting was well advertised elsewhere2 points

Said it for years Peet is an awful team manager. He was crap when he managed Hull Vikings, crap for Berwick and Never done any good at Scunny. Rich Hollingsworth was a great boss but he does a great job elsewhere at club now1 point

thank you Connor Coles, didn't expect anything from him, his paid 6, won us the meeting. I prefer later starts at this time of year, it just goes slick and dusty.1 point

Lol, Chris and Darcy had it first then it moved to Brady and Jack and now we are on to the third set! Isn't the correct title 'the Thompson twins' unless I am missing something?1 point

Yeah Darcy didn't like it when people called Jack Holder and Brady Kurtz the turbo twins 2.0! He said there is only one set of turbo twins and it's him and Chris.1 point

You want to try it, my head spins for ages after, joking apart, it really does help protect the iner part of the track,1 point

Yeah, hopefully should be good tonight - he was fantastic in the league. Never know what he’ll do at Ashfield - massive win in heat 13 against Poole last time out there!1 point

Hope we can keep this close tonight . It will be different from the league match as all three Monarchs heat leaders had average meetings by their standards then . I dont expect that to happen again. So anything less than a 10 point defeat will set up the guest fest tomorrow night nicely1 point

Smart move. It’s unfortunate that Hopwood’s return to the sport didn’t work out but there’s very few riders available now on that average so to pick someone up if Atkins’ quality is impressive.1 point

So all the Mondays we have free, and we ride at home and on tv, on a gp qualifier date. This sport does it's self no favours.1 point

Interesting, but untrue. Reference to the referee's official report to the SCB on Berwick's double-header on June 5th last year -- endorsed by SCB Track Inspector Mick Bates, who was in attendance -- tells us that 30 heats (plus one re-run) were completed by 21.15, well ahead of the curfew. Dust? Yes, on what the report observes was a dry, sunny June evening, dust appeared after Heat 6, but was controlled. What you imply was a meeting being rushed through to meet a curfew was in fact a meeting of 31 starts which was briskly and efficiently presented.1 point
-
You should use your influence to get the rent at Brough reduced. Then it snowballs down the chain and the riders can then do their lap of honour after a heat win, To be fair they are saving on that as the heat wins are scarce.1 point

Why is it I wonder when clubs are having a tough time (and I don't mean just Birmingham)& fans are getting more upset about what's happening, that people like you spring up spouting all the aggression? I never realised that anyone needed to put money into the sport to become an expert either. You might be close to the internal proceedings at the Brummies but you are no "expert " on public relations from what I have seen of your posts on this forum.1 point
