Well, I enjoyed the meeting. It was a lot of gate and go but the racing improved towards the end. That's the third meeting I've been to this season, and the third one with a long delay! Hoping for better luck at Kent on Sunday. We left Wroxham at 17.45 and arrived just after 19.00 but the journey back was interesting as the A47 was closed so we ended up going everywhere somewhere and via Swaffham. As a one off visit I couldn't really fault it.

I think he was celebrating not getting clobbered by Doyle,as Holder pulled a locker like he does right in front him.Any lesser rider behind him and he wouldn't have even made it to the line. Problem with Holder he thinks he is some kind of superstar now he's in the Gp's.Comes across very arrogant.

Most of our matches have hinged on that middle pairing turning up, been the story of our season so far. Don’t know what you’re getting with them week to week. Could do with one of the weeks they turn up tonight or we could be in a bit of bother.

I'm amazed this debate is still running. Riders will accept guest bookings providing they fit in with existing commitments. They want to earn money. Teams will not stand in their way. After all next month they might be the ones needing a guest.

I think it's wishful thinking. The sport has never been like that. tracks have never provided perfect racing from heat 1 to heat 20, Not now, Not ever, not in the GPs, Not in Poland. And despite what we of a certain age would like to believe, certainly not ever in the past. The 60's 70's and 80's provided as many garbage tracks back then as we have today. and the racing wasn't over taking every race, despite what we might like to believe. It's a lovely thought and it's something to strive for, but are our expectations for the sport too high? Don't get me wrong. The track materials like the clay based shale is useless, but that is the best surface for the stock cars. Without the stock cars, at Lynn. There is no speedway, simple as that. One pays for the other

I heard on Radio Oxford either earlier this week or the tail end of last week that representatives of PETA were invited To the stadium to see the facilities for the Greyhounds and talk to those involved in running the Greyhounds, they declined I'm rapidly approaching my 60th birthday in an an ever changing World, where what was common usage of language in my youth is now frowned upon. I'd say in my life i've been pretty open and not given a toss about Race, Religion, Sexuality etc but to come across people who only believe what they want to hear/see and never listen to the otherside of the argument, you're all just narrowminded IMO.

Would definitely recommend a visit to Oxford for those fans that dont have a local speedway team to watch. Quite a few Robins fans there from Swindon and district, plus other former nearby clubs such as Reading and Coventry. A few from London and south-east as well. Good stadium, easy access, good facilities, some good racing, and big crowd around 2000 with noisy atmosphere. With Newcastle closing with crowds of less than 400, and general negativity surrounding British league speedway it's good to see this success story in central-southern England.

Another excellent meeting at the Ecco arena with some fantastic racing. Kerr and Riss produced some fabulous round the boards passes and there were plenty of cracking races. Knudsen looks a great prospect - fast and stylish.

Leicester have a stronger top 3. In theory we have a stronger 4-7. Hope we make a better match of it than last season but not expecting anything.

Just some of my thoughts on last night's meeting which I watched on the live stream:- 1. I think the overall coverage is very good. The presenters do a sound job and there were plenty of rider/manager interviews. Commentators made one or two errors but not a problem and overall very good. 2. Very easy to sign onto the stream and who would have thought three years ago that we would now be able to watch live meetings in the British Championship etc. Great innovation. 3. I thought Belle Vue would have really kicked on in this tournament with top riders like Fricke, Kurtz and Zagar. Both BV riders were pretty disappointing last night and has Fricke stagnated to a degree? 4. Well done again to Jason Doyle. Always a pleasure to watch and an absolute credit to British Speedway. Always gives his all as he did again last night. 5. Bomber having a great season and another fantastic servant of British Speedway. Always great to watch. 6. Jack Holder and Adam Ellis very hit and miss. Holder can look great one minute and then pretty average the next. 7. Josh Pickering is another very entertaining rider and I can see him becoming the new Doyley in years to come. 8. I thought the track seemed to ride OK but as others have said, it seems to have lost its reputation as being one of the best passing tracks in the country. 9. If the powers that be continue with this competition next year they need to have a big re-think as regards the inclusion (or not) of the rising stars.

Good news for Pirates is the form of King and Lawson last night at Kings Lynn also Masters was definitely not himself last night so he may well withdraw from tonight's meeting,

Hi @Triple.H. I understand why PETA declining to see the stadium might sound narrow minded. But it's not just about the facilities at the track - that's a very small part of it. Greyhounds are put at risk every time they are raced. The kennels at the track themselves could be luxurious but as soon as the greyhound is on the track, there is a risk it could break a hock, break its back or collide with other dogs. That's why every track has to have a freezer to store the bodies of dead dogs - the tracks expect that dogs will die racing. Also, the track itself might have luxurious facilities but greyhounds are only kept there on the day and then are transported back to their owner’s kennels, which could be of an appalling standard. I noted above about the trainer from Swindon who is keeping 50 dogs in an old grain store and another Swindon trainer was jailed in 2020 for neglecting the dogs in his care. The story was widely reported in the local paper at the time. You might have heard of the case. I have been invited to look at kennels but have declined as it's pointless. They could be the best in the world but it doesn't change the risk that the dogs are put under every time they race and there are no guarantees as to what happens to the dogs at the end of their racing lives. I have seen too many awful stories for one nice set of track kennels to make me think that greyhound racing is ok. I hope that helps you to see the other side - that it's just not being narrow minded and that there's a lot more to it than just seeing the facilities at the track. Best wishes JJ

Having seen the Thompson's this week for the first time in the flesh I feel if the present league setup and rules remain the same. That they would both benefit greatly from riding at a different home track in either Championship or NDL.

They've jumped the gun by saying it will be ready in Spring 2023, when given the work that will be needed if and when they even get the go ahead is an extremely large ask.
