Quote of the season could only come from a Poole fan, we were the better team one rider scoring 0 and a heat leader only getting 5. Really!!!4 points

Well, I enjoyed the meeting. It was a lot of gate and go but the racing improved towards the end. That's the third meeting I've been to this season, and the third one with a long delay! Hoping for better luck at Kent on Sunday. We left Wroxham at 17.45 and arrived just after 19.00 but the journey back was interesting as the A47 was closed so we ended up going everywhere somewhere and via Swaffham. As a one off visit I couldn't really fault it.4 points

Didn’t watch the meeting but I have been reliably informed that Poole were not the better team.3 points

I think he was celebrating not getting clobbered by Doyle,as Holder pulled a locker like he does right in front him.Any lesser rider behind him and he wouldn't have even made it to the line. Problem with Holder he thinks he is some kind of superstar now he's in the Gp's.Comes across very arrogant.3 points

Tight meeting kept it interesting but very slick tonight. 0 passing and very little racing, bit disappointing2 points

As I guess it’s aimed at a Brummie, you could call them a Yam Yam. It’s probably as offensive as calling someone from the Black Country a Brummie.2 points

Most of our matches have hinged on that middle pairing turning up, been the story of our season so far. Don’t know what you’re getting with them week to week. Could do with one of the weeks they turn up tonight or we could be in a bit of bother.2 points

Don’t know what we are offended about but I am offended that I don’t know.2 points

If Dan rides it's: bewley, Wright, cook, Lambert, Brennan & howarth Vs Doyle, fricke, rasser, Becker, ruml & blodorn2 points

I'm amazed this debate is still running. Riders will accept guest bookings providing they fit in with existing commitments. They want to earn money. Teams will not stand in their way. After all next month they might be the ones needing a guest.2 points

A strange feeling this , a meeting I actually hope Edinburgh win. Go for a lie down now2 points

I think it's wishful thinking. The sport has never been like that. tracks have never provided perfect racing from heat 1 to heat 20, Not now, Not ever, not in the GPs, Not in Poland. And despite what we of a certain age would like to believe, certainly not ever in the past. The 60's 70's and 80's provided as many garbage tracks back then as we have today. and the racing wasn't over taking every race, despite what we might like to believe. It's a lovely thought and it's something to strive for, but are our expectations for the sport too high? Don't get me wrong. The track materials like the clay based shale is useless, but that is the best surface for the stock cars. Without the stock cars, at Lynn. There is no speedway, simple as that. I heard on Radio Oxford either earlier this week or the tail end of last week that representatives of PETA were invited To the stadium to see the facilities for the Greyhounds and talk to those involved in running the Greyhounds, they declined I'm rapidly approaching my 60th birthday in an an ever changing World, where what was common usage of language in my youth is now frowned upon. I'd say in my life i've been pretty open and not given a toss about Race, Religion, Sexuality etc but to come across people who only believe what they want to hear/see and never listen to the otherside of the argument, you're all just narrowminded IMO.2 points

It does look like Sam Masters and Josh Pickering had a night to remember and that made heats 13 and 15 very difficult for Poole. But that doesn't explain heat 14?1 point

Riders do that all the time, because it's a Poole rider it's classed as cheating1 point

Another excellent meeting at the Ecco arena with some fantastic racing. Kerr and Riss produced some fabulous round the boards passes and there were plenty of cracking races. Knudsen looks a great prospect - fast and stylish.1 point

Leicester have a stronger top 3. In theory we have a stronger 4-7. Hope we make a better match of it than last season but not expecting anything.1 point

Not going to come away with anything tonight, which is a shame as we have been the better team except when up against Pickering and Masters on their own track.1 point

Piratecast Live with Christina Turnbull available to those who couldn't/didn't tune in last evening... Great interview! That hour felt like 10 mins!! Great in depth answers to questions like about all 4 back and why not all 4 back and riders jumping the start and if they penalise themselves should you let the race carry on or not. Worth watching whatever club you support imo. If anyone wants to watch it back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhSPQPJMk2Y1 point

Good news for Pirates is the form of King and Lawson last night at Kings Lynn also Masters was definitely not himself last night so he may well withdraw from tonight's meeting,1 point

Keep up the good work and fingers crossed everything works out. July - First time in my kids lifetime (12+16) they have not been to a live speedway meeting - ( covid season apart ) they were taken when in a carrycot and been to nearly every meeting since at Arlington. This season their first meeting will be The British Final at Belle Vue. Hopefully Tom Brennan makes it.1 point

Normally yes, normally a few BV fans spotted at Poole in the summer too (on their holidays i'm assuming!)1 point

Having seen the Thompson's this week for the first time in the flesh I feel if the present league setup and rules remain the same. That they would both benefit greatly from riding at a different home track in either Championship or NDL.1 point

They've jumped the gun by saying it will be ready in Spring 2023, when given the work that will be needed if and when they even get the go ahead is an extremely large ask.1 point
