Whatever the whys and wherefores plymouths promising season , aided by a large dose of mickey taking with kennett have been murdered by injury and seemingly endless issues with barker. Shame as tbh they were a match for nearly anyone over 2 legs .4 points

I came to a couple at Newcastle and i found the place quite friendly so I feel for all the fans also I have never seen so many food vans in one place it was like a food convention , hope you all get the chance to shout for your team again3 points

I am not sure of which topic I read this on but Knudson was signed on a 28 day visa which started on the rained off meeting Berwick v Scunthorpe 25/6 which expired on Sat 23rd July which was why he could race on the Saturday but not away on the Sunday. His working visa would take approx. 7 weeks which I understood, should have started early August so it is late in being verified/issued.2 points

I doubt Jonas would've been riding for Berwick anyway tonight as this is a re-arranged fixture and Knudson is racing in Denmark tonight. At this rate we will be lucky to see Jonas in Berwick`s colours again this season.2 points

So, is the "visa issue" just an excuse of convenience? Is he actually withholding his services and the people are being shielded from the truth so that he doesn't end his season with a 28-day ban?2 points
-
Yes thanks, got it the wrong way around. Barry at Worky was better in the box, as he didn't seen to have the same confidence when out with the mic on the centre green. I've known Barry since his first stint in the 60 's at Newcastle, and played Darts with him for many years in the 60's.2 points

I would be surprised, having read several things over the last couple of weeks it seems that more are surprised that he hadn’t been caught sooner. If other riders are aware and rumours have followed him around (as suggested) for years how can you not be aware?2 points

I said that to a friend before the Birmingham meeting. This one is a stronger line up than that. Clever to ask Redcar riders too when they are at Poole next week!2 points

Barry and Bernard Gent were/ are excellent. It was only when you travelled down country and heard others you realised just how good they were.2 points

I think we need to make all our riders go off 15 metres to make it fair!2 points

I have known Dale for quite a few years now and he is undoubtedly a Kings Lynn fan first and foremost, he is in a difficult position in helping to run both Lynn and Peterborough and gets a lot of stick because of it, but first and foremost he is a speedway fan and although his loyalties lie with Lynn he does his best for both clubs2 points

He brings it on all by himself and is a liability in any team.Such a sad shame as could be decent rider on his going day.2 points

I for one certainly haven’t turned, as a loyal fan am I not aloud too state the fact that it’s been crap this season, and that the management shouldn’t have just sat on it and left the team as it is? I’ve been there every meeting, also put money in a different way so I’ll comment my opinion. Doesn’t make me unloyal at all2 points

The meeting against Kings Lynn was a drubbing but the racing on the most part was excellent with Pickering leading the charge for the away side. To be honest most of the PL racing on Eurosport has been far better than the SGP offering. "Gate and gone"2 points

Why did the management state that the were waiting to see if his Visa arrived in time or Joe Thompson would take his place if it didn’t,if he was not going to be there anyway .?1 point

If you read my post it says I don’t care what was in his system be it one of the three mentioned or all of them. At the stadium it was rumoured to be alcohol at first then drugs. The point is that he had officially failed a test (non-negative), if the ref had felt he was safe he wouldn’t have withdrawn him. I am not being judgemental I am simply stating that as we do not know what effect this would have had on him, he was risking not only his safety. Times have changed health and safety (sometimes bunkers) of everyone at a track is at risk As for the comment on the M25 if you want to ride a bike on the M25 at 70mph without brakes good luck. Times change, 45 years ago the bikes reacted differently, engine was an up right, machines go faster. I have seen to many serious crashes over the years (Ales Drmyl’s being one of the worst). At the end of the day he has failed trackside and lab samples. The fact that he intended to race is what annoys me.1 point

I don’t care what drugs were in his body, high dosage prescription/illegal/or as first suspected alcohol) what troubles me most about this whole saga is that Ben knew what he had taken before arriving at the stadium and he should know if it is or not against the rules. Knowing this he still intended to ride and would have if the test hadn’t been carried out, it is the complete lack of respect for safety, not only for the other riders, but the medics, track staff everybody in the pits as well as the crowd. Just recently there have been a few crashes where the bike has gone over the fence, that is what I find indefensible. It’s not okay to then say it was medical prescription and the gp can back this up - it still doesn’t make it right and anybody that knew he was doing this is equally guilty.1 point
-
This is what I was told at the weekend by someone in the FIM a rider was suspected of taking drugs and the testing people were alerted and they were told you can’t target a rider on a tip off (well not officially anyway ) it has to be random or appear to be1 point

NO not true. One Aussie in the 90s at Brough was obviously under the influence, and the club withdrew him when he "sprained his back" getting the tools out of the van. it would be ludicrous if he wasn't picked and rode whilst 2 others were tested and clean. Now that would be when he would have got away with it.1 point

Any rider can be tested if there are strong reasons to believe he would be dangerous in a racing situation. What would be the point of just testing random riders and finding them drug free, when others could strongly suggest another rider would definitely fail the test.1 point

Honestly don't care who owns the clubs and when they ride against each other I don't think about it. They got King's Lynn team wrong last year and stumbled across something that worked wonders at Panthers. Can they put two fresh teams out will be the question1 point

Nice piece shame its gone, barry done a good job at derwentpark for a couple of seasons hope he gets the chance to carry somewhere else!1 point

Have Plymouth got a facility for Barker? If they have it shouldn't be allowed for a rider who has failed a drugs test. How is Kennett's 'injury' coming along? I suspect he will retire once Plymouth fulfill this season's fixtures!1 point

for Glasgow 2015 - 3, 2', 2, 2, 3, 2' = 14+2 2016 - 2,1,1,1 = 5 2017 - 2, 2, 2, 1, 1' = 8+1 for Berwick 2018 - 1, 3, 2, 3, 3 = 12 for Peterborough 2019 3, 1', 0, 3, 0 = 7+1 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 = 81 point

Facts are- Brennan and Flint are official Meeting Reserves for SGP on Saturday so contractually obligated to be at Friday Practice 3 pm Impossible therefore to be at Oxford Also Brennan is wild card for SGP 2 on Sunday. Very unlucky to miss out on SGP2 Series pick in his last chance year. A good display either Event will be seen and noted in all the right places for his career. Puts the CL Pairs into perspective. Lay off both lads, key part of British Speedway future and deserve this chance at Cardiff. Both done thousands of miles in age groups round Europe for peanuts.1 point

You never got this in the old days. You certainly never got White City operating r/r all season for a rider they never had in the first place. You certainly never got Exeter being allowed a gueat facility for Ivan Mauger who only agreed to ride home meetings.1 point

Whilst on the subject of barker over the weekend I learnt that drug tests have to random, even if someone gives a name of a rider that is suspected of taking drugs to the testers they can’t target that rider, I suppose they could say it was random but they know a certain rider was in a certain race or meeting1 point

yup typical MP of any party just getting his name about he does'nt care about people or the speedway he would'nt even help with a serious problem my disabled daughter had (and he was minister of disabled) typical tosser politician1 point
