  2. Whatever the whys and wherefores plymouths promising season , aided by a large dose of mickey taking with kennett have been murdered by injury and seemingly endless issues with barker. Shame as tbh they were a match for nearly anyone over 2 legs .

  3. He might make “ comeback” next season if they are struggling for a No1.!!

  4. Won’t be long now until Eddie Kennett will be fit ……… to ease the injury crisis Oh wait what Eddie Kennett’s been fit most the season & isn’t returning silly me

  5. not the answer though .i think speedway got to make drastic changes next season to survive ?

  6. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001b22h/look-north-north-east-and-cumbria-evening-news-09082022 21 minutes in. Nice shot of Joe Owen in there (winning of course).

  7. I came to a couple at Newcastle and i found the place quite friendly so I feel for all the fans also I have never seen so many food vans in one place it was like a food convention , hope you all get the chance to shout for your team again

  8. Sad to see our long time Barry ( in the box ) Wallace on look north tonight talking about the end of a era at Newcastle..

  9. Oh Don’t get me started on that filthy habit, it’s disgusting

  10. I am not sure of which topic I read this on but Knudson was signed on a 28 day visa which started on the rained off meeting Berwick v Scunthorpe 25/6 which expired on Sat 23rd July which was why he could race on the Saturday but not away on the Sunday. His working visa would take approx. 7 weeks which I understood, should have started early August so it is late in being verified/issued.

  11. I doubt Jonas would've been riding for Berwick anyway tonight as this is a re-arranged fixture and Knudson is racing in Denmark tonight. At this rate we will be lucky to see Jonas in Berwick`s colours again this season.

  12. So, is the "visa issue" just an excuse of convenience? Is he actually withholding his services and the people are being shielded from the truth so that he doesn't end his season with a 28-day ban?

  13. Yes thanks, got it the wrong way around. Barry at Worky was better in the box, as he didn't seen to have the same confidence when out with the mic on the centre green. I've known Barry since his first stint in the 60 's at Newcastle, and played Darts with him for many years in the 60's.

  14. I would be surprised, having read several things over the last couple of weeks it seems that more are surprised that he hadn’t been caught sooner. If other riders are aware and rumours have followed him around (as suggested) for years how can you not be aware?

  15. I said that to a friend before the Birmingham meeting. This one is a stronger line up than that. Clever to ask Redcar riders too when they are at Poole next week!

  16. Barry and Bernard Gent were/ are excellent. It was only when you travelled down country and heard others you realised just how good they were.

  17. I think we need to make all our riders go off 15 metres to make it fair!

  18. I have known Dale for quite a few years now and he is undoubtedly a Kings Lynn fan first and foremost, he is in a difficult position in helping to run both Lynn and Peterborough and gets a lot of stick because of it, but first and foremost he is a speedway fan and although his loyalties lie with Lynn he does his best for both clubs

  20. He brings it on all by himself and is a liability in any team.Such a sad shame as could be decent rider on his going day.

  21. Bomber's average too high plus he is riding for his actual team!

  22. I for one certainly haven’t turned, as a loyal fan am I not aloud too state the fact that it’s been crap this season, and that the management shouldn’t have just sat on it and left the team as it is? I’ve been there every meeting, also put money in a different way so I’ll comment my opinion. Doesn’t make me unloyal at all

  23. The meeting against Kings Lynn was a drubbing but the racing on the most part was excellent with Pickering leading the charge for the away side. To be honest most of the PL racing on Eurosport has been far better than the SGP offering. "Gate and gone"

  25. Oh, so that's why they are doing it. Makes perfect sense now. Pack the place out and show them speedway is still needed!

  26. Berwick look a danger to Poole and Oxford, Leicester look far ahead in first group.

  27. Why did the management state that the were waiting to see if his Visa arrived in time or Joe Thompson would take his place if it didn’t,if he was not going to be there anyway .?

  28. It costs pennies for a kit, the cost is the one/ two individuals doing the tests.

  29. Screm never mentioned the draw, infact he solely stated race jacket, don’t know why you’re arguing about it

  31. I agree Steve. I'm grateful to both Lee and the former riders for giving up their time to do it though. If it were a professional "paid for" interview, then expectations would be higher.

  32. Wokeism... athletics and swimming meetings are random and drawn by lots... the three rugby matches I was involved in were exactly the same and it was done via a blind raffle with three players drawn to be tested from each team... it was a random raffle draw on a selective few or they had to test everyone taking part which was unfeasible... its done blind so the tester can't be accused of picking on somebody or the sporting federation can be accused of a witchhunt in what is a very litigious society these days... Im only guessing but I suspect Speedway is no different... the anti doping rules are fairly standard... Regards THJ

  33. Jan Kvech rode at Glasgow in 2018 in the World U21 Team Championship qualifier and looked impressive scoring 15 points for the Czech Republic from 6 rides including a 6 pointer double in one race. From the UK side that won the meeting, only Connor Mountain is still riding in the UK.

  45. His test was non negative. Which is a diplomatic way of saying it was positive. If it was inconclusive he would have been asked to take another test. Nobody can come on here & defend Ben , he broke the rules (knowingly or unknowingly) so now must serve his punishment.

  47. Actually, all former Berwick riders are welcomed at Shielfield Park, and have a lifetime pass to meetings.

  48. yup typical MP of any party just getting his name about he does'nt care about people or the speedway he would'nt even help with a serious problem my disabled daughter had (and he was minister of disabled) typical tosser politician

  49. My son is a professional athlete. He is given a list of banned substances and common medications that contain them. If he needs to take something (even if prescribed) that contains a banned substance he has to request a waiver from the league. If he takes it without an approved waiver, he will get banned. Plymouth’s statement that it was prescribed would not be an acceptable defence in any sport with a serious drug policy.

  50. Apparently they have Nadine Dorres lined up as Minister for Culture and Sport to present the Prizes on Finals Day. She'll no doubt recall buying a Car off Danny Ford, seeing Mark Phillips ride at Badminton Horse Trials, thank John Campbell for his Soups, and praise Mr (Damian) Bates and Mr Dickson for being in many of her saucy novels.....oh not forgetting the picture of Barry Sheene that she had in her bedroom as a teenager.
