Zmarzlik is IMO one of the greatest riders ever to grace our sport, he is just amazing to watch5 points

How did Lambert get in the top three? He's not good enough to even be in the GP, is he?4 points

I will openly admit I am not a big fan of Rob Godfrey, however all these comments suggesting as chairman he makes decisions to suit himself and the Scorpions are tiresome and quite ridiculous!4 points

Currently discussions about stopping Russian citizens even visiting the EU, let alone working. The war doesn’t look likely to end soon, so neither will any sanctions Be a minor miracle if they are back next season3 points

Laguta and Saifudinov will be out for several years. No Russians will be allowed until Russia leave Ukraine. Expect their careers are over to be honest.3 points

Bit frustrating that Harris, flint and potentially Brennan (not one to refuse a guest booking) could've been in this meeting but are in a pointless European pairs event getting spanked off the top nations second strings. Why when no Ellis take a another Berwick rider as well. Take howarth or worrall seen as Leicester no meeting!!3 points

You can tell I’m bored waiting from my girlfriend to get her nails done, that I’m reading this nonsense. The weather is cited as the reason for 99.9% of postponements so to put forward a ruling to help eradicate the many dodgy ones is perfectly valid. To say it wouldn’t be workable and then choose a scenario that may happen once every decade is ridiculous. Power outage, plane crash, animals escaping from the zoo are not points of discussion due to their infrequency. I’m pretty sure the Ukrainian tracks didn’t have an invaded by Russia clause and that shouldn't be a reason to say the rules were lacking or unworkable. I can imagine how the conference gets bogged down with nonsense such as this instead of actually moving our sorry sport forward. The current (and recently departed) people “running” this once great sport have not a clue what they are doing and they have driven it down to a point where no creditable person will touch it with a barge pole, so we are are left with the current monkeys in charge and anyone else stepping in would be equally clueless. What a horrible shame.3 points

Subjective view I know but Marcella reminds me of a Eurovision Song Contest presenter and is annoying as hell2 points

Think it was Dugard and Loram at Coventry in 2000. Think that's the last year we had three Brits in a semi final as well,.2 points

What can you say? Absolutely incredible! And he seems such a nice kid...2 points

Changes have to be in a declaration by 31st August so 28th August is the effective deadline to allow the requisite three days notice.2 points

I posted the same earlier but glad someone else has mentioned it. Another poster criticises Godfrey but he is the Chairman & not the only one to make decisions. Someone also says 2 wrongs don't make a right.2 points

As a wise Edinburgh supporter once said, every injured rider will have a point when he is injured one day and not injured the next. Also the recent ruling not to allow IRR for a pre-existing injury is a definite incentive to delay returning from injury. It's always been the privilege of an injured rider to decide when to return. There's no doubt Ryan Douglas has been injured. I'd be more inclined to ask why a facility is given for the European Pairs, a dud of a competition which other riders could have been selected for.2 points

Same amount of track grading as we get every week. The first track grade was a heat earlier than usual, definitely due to Lewi having 2 on the trot. The meeting was still over in good time, well less than 2 hours, and yes it could be over quicker if no grading was done but would be at the detriment of the racing.2 points
-
Trouble is if you let the dirt go wide too early in the meeting you end up with one line right round the boards later on in the meeting which isn't good for the racing. Grading is a nuisance but sometimes it's required to keep the track good for 15 heats.2 points

And is Eurosport cameras there that’s more crucial if it’s on or off than the weather forecast2 points

I love watching the British Talent Cup (formerly Motostar) races in BSB, to see who the next big thing could be. There are some cracking kids coming through at the moment. Great to watch.2 points

Robs going to pay him what? 80 a point? What will he earn in Poland? Considerably more I'd suggest. Like someone has said best not to upset the Poles.1 point
-
He knows better than let Poland down I suggest.Nothing changes in GB speedway though we put up with all this nonsense.(apologies to Ryan as it’s just speedway in general,he’s not the only one)1 point

Current rules obviously aren't working no matter how much you quote them or try to apply them to my "suggestions". Of course economics are part of it but the current rules have dragged the sport to the current level it is... how about this for economics, the fans have stopped going because they'll make their own minds up about the weather situation and the state the track will be in because every club is doing their own thing.1 point
-
Yes, but tbf his Polish club did help him a lot with treatment so could get back on the bike quicker.1 point

Not entirely sure what happened there. Bears (Kerr and Jenkins aside) were shocking for first half of meeting. Lawson was an inspired guest and Roynon was absolutely superb - best I have seen him in years. Fair play to the Bears though, showed up in last three heats especially. Super comeback. Not sure it will be enough but would have snapped your hands off for the chance after heat 121 point

Divide the cost of the ticket by the expected number of home meetings that were covered by the ticket and then multiply this number by the amount of meetings you didn't get to see and this will be roughly what you are owed 180 ticket say ÷ 12 meetings =15 quid per meeting... and if there were 6 home meetings left you are due 90 quid back as a refund... I don't know the exact figures / cost / meetings but it will give you an idea... Beware though because if there isn't enough money in the pot to pay the debtors in full the liquidators / administrator may only have enough funds to pay out say 50 pence in the pound so you will only get half of what you will be actually owed... or in the case we had where we got 0.02 pence in the pound... in that scenario you would only get £1.80 back against the 90 quid (ish) you lost... See the oldest world finalists list, another one leaves, take a look at the updated list. I'm getting depressed, I well recall Eric captaining the all conquering Halifax team of 1966- guess he was in his forties then. Tremendous rider for Middlesbrough Bears also, he is a great loss but now becomes part of speedway history. A tough guy on track but a down to earth guy off the track. I don't think we will we ever see his like again. RIP Eric.1 point

Supposedly 2 semi final meetings on the Thursday too… but the ‘new era of speedway’ doesn’t do communication so who knows if that’s happening and who’s riding.1 point

And every time I pass through Custom House on the train I can’t help but think, what a waste. The public transport links that stadium would have now if it existed would be better than any other.1 point
