For all you know he could have agreed to just ride in the three Play Off meetings and nothing else, your ire should really be towards the two clubs who quite clearly knew he wasn't going to be there tonight yet kept quiet.8 points

Lambert is probably just as injured as Klindt and Pickering are ill.7 points

Terrible treatment of fans once again, Buster probably told Belle Vue not to announce the non appearance of Robert Lambert. It is this sort of thing that drives fans away.5 points

The trouble with speedway is,,, there are still enough fans at some clubs that are happy to be treated like rubbish,, and will gladly turn up every week to be treated that way. Most will even say thank you3 points

Different opinions not disagreeing meant to be what you do on a forum. Then we have you the clown of all clowns with incoherent rambling. Just my opinion of course saddo.3 points

Robbing barstewards. I hope there are some folk who demand their money back.3 points

Why is R Lambert missing tonight if he doesnt have a valid reason then surely it is a 28 day ban starting whenever he chooses to ride next season, so no late comeback for the play offs next year3 points

Wednesdays forecast looks better than it was with a few showers around lunchtime then a dry afternoon and evening. Saturday looks to be a dry day. I think both meetings will take place on their chosen days. Hopefully on tracks in conditions to produce good, fair racing.3 points

I've ben told that Subbuteo Table Speedway was staged there in the 1950's. There was four local teams, Panthers, Lions, Gorillas & Crocodiles. Hope this helps.3 points

According to Willhelmpedia there was a young Austrian in the 1930's called Aldi Hilter who took on a German licence. He had an accident where he lost a testicle and this curtailed his European activity. He's not been heard of much since his Farewell appearance in Berlin in the mid forties. There are rumours he was spotted in Argentina / Brazil, but his moustache trademark might have gone by then. Hope this helps.3 points

Go and have a lie down. You won’t make any attempt to understand some of the problems this Sheffield promotion have faced so I’m not going to waste my time engaging you in debate. There’s far bigger problems in speedway which need resolving over your personal vendettas.2 points

Which is completely the fault of Lynn and Belle Vue! Nothing to do with the rider, all indications from various social media posts suggest he was only ever going to appear in the Play Offs. You've obviously come onto this thread with an existing dislike for Lambert, which is your right, but you are pointing fingers in the wrong direction here.2 points
-
If that’s your points of comparison, Belle Vue is exactly like Sheffield - a multi use stadium not owned by the club. That’s not what it was supposed to be but, after the previous owning company went spectacularly bankrupt with debts approaching 7 figures, any chance of BV being anything other than tenants was lost2 points

Injury has been cited as the reason Lambert cannot ride. 1) When did injury occur. 2) At what time was it decided he couldn't race. 3) Was a medical certificate produced. All questions that will never be answered honestly and just whitewashed over.2 points

Don't worry Trees will appear here soon to defend another bullrubbish piss taking evening in British speedway2 points

Hang your head in shame lemon and belle vue, total piss take league title bought and paid for! One comet who wont be back their next season.2 points

This just shows the complete lack of contempt the promoters have for fans you know the actual people who without us there would be no speedway. False advertising by both teams knowing full well Lambert wouldn't be there everyone in the stadium should just ask for a refund and go home disgusting off everyone involved.2 points
-
If the promotion knew this today and didn’t make this common knowledge I hope those who’s paid to get in make there feelings known2 points
-
Does seem pretty certain that Robert won’t be there, pit of a pisstake from both promotions if nothing is announced2 points

Not at all it’s only banter. Seems like Jenga has took a shine too you. You have my condolences in advance.2 points

I suppose it depends how they might look at it Tel. If the scores don't count towards the averages then the meeting shouldn't count as meetings completed, but this is speedway2 points

You forgot the warning for Shovlar, the Ford's and Middle ditch All Car Parks have height restricted access. Not ideal for visitors with inflated egos Locally known as big heads.2 points

Good point, be a nice touch to do all that for Poole!!2 points

Also should include allowance for time needed for presentation of the trophy, celebrations, open-top tractor tour around the track, etc2 points

Let’s hope this reported illness doesn’t affect the thousands of supporters intending to go to the match tonight.2 points

Other than major wholesale changes (which will never happen) the chances of attracting those fans who have drifted away, back to the fold are next to zero. The sports controllers have brought the problems on themselves and the riders look after number one and sometimes dictate whether a meeting will go ahead. The fans are bottom of the pile when it comes to being part of any thought process in terms of it being value for money or providing entertainment so that the punters go away wanting more. Where else would you maintain a scenario of having seven man teams but rarely race with seven, more like six and Mr R/R. They cannot even complete the fixtures. You have several months to fulfil the meetings but yet again here it is October and the options for completing fixtures are getting fewer thanks to the weather or the non availability of stadia and probably the doubling up which meant some meetings could not take place earlier in the season because of rider availability. The current business model does not work and those with disposal income who have been going to meetings for many years have decided it is just not worth it and over the years the promoters have failed to make it an attractive form of entertainment for a younger generation. Get rid of the BSPL and start again on an amateur basis with a five year plan to rebuild the rider base. Some stadia will fall by the wayside but it would happen anyway with the current set up and with very few if any local authorities interested in having a track on their door step the chances of new tracks appearing is fairly low. To sum up, the BSPL would have you believe the sport is in good shape. How many fans believe that one?2 points

Any HISTORICAL information on speedway in WAKANDA, please? I think there may have been some Peterborough riders active there. Maybe John Hyam knows?1 point

I heard the track was bladed either before or after the stock cars cant remember now.So I would like to think the track would be laid today.1 point

If as some people are saying the scores from tonight won't count towards the averages,I assume that would keep Jakobsen on his 5.04 average as this meeting won't count.1 point

So you want to get rid of the BSPL and replace them with who? So you want the sport here to become amateur. And fall way behind the likes of leagues in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. It's funny that the BSPL get stick every year for watering down the product and here you want to take the ultimate watering down decision. Good luck selling that to the current riders, who have spent a lot of money on machinery. Who, out of the current riders, would be willing too ride for only expenses? Good luck getting crowds to watch amateur racing, when they've been used to professional standards. And you're okay that "some stadia will fall by the wayside"? Sounds like a plan to me...1 point
