  1. Bloody hell, they've not ridden at home yet! At least let them get thrashed on Thursday night first

  2. From a neutral i think basso needs to calm it down a bit, he often rides on the reckless side of things, which is a shame because the talent is obviously there. It was blatantly obvious he would of took cooks front wheel on the 3rd and 4th turn if cookie hadn't took evasive action. Being in the stadium and being a neutral it certainly spiced thing up nicely, ith the Glasgow fans obviously backing the home rider (which every home track support would) The bottom line is that if basso wants to continue to ride on the edge like the way he does, then he better prepare himself for a lot worse than that at the weekend, because at the top of the sport (where I think he has the talent to end up) there are a lot tougher and ruthless riders than Craig Cook.

  5. Trying to defend the indefensible here Blobby his stupid tweet confirmed it was intentional. How thick can he be.

  6. You sound anything but neutral in your summary. So Cook had to take evasive action…….so what?…..that’s speedway and happens all the time. ……but for him to retaliate by making a move which gave no time for evasive action to be taken is just out and out dangerous. At the time, unlike folks around me, I was putting it down to a racing incident till I read Cook’s disgusting twitter remarks. Basso fined for pushing? Cook let off for deliberately taking someone out?…….what a nonsense.

  7. Lunatic really, boys an out and out racer. If only there were more like him.

  8. Someone trying to be constructive about connections. The opposite side of the spectrum. Criticism is always welcome as long as their is a constructive way to redeem it. Most riders still around from the Bees era are either riding elsewhere or busy doing jobs, who would you like to see in the Coventry team? Well done to all at Birmingham for helping to keep the name of Coventry in the publics eye and lets live in hope of a return one day.

  9. A big deal was made about Morris when David McAllan went through the fence. What's your point caller?

  10. Would u have said that 12 months ago?

  11. I'd leave Rob Lyon out of your equation on team planning. He only agreed to be team manager the morning of press and practice.

  12. The more that gets announced early though, the more the scrutiny on here of it's legitimacy...... Best to just announce nothing and keep your head down... The beauty being of course that even if things may not appear to some to be 100% correct, your opponents will invariably need to do something similar later in the season so will hardly kick up any fuss... A 'win/win'. ..

  13. IMO the thing about Monmore is that you need to have patience plus skill to pass( PK being one of the finest examples ) not just the biggest balls a fast motor with the throttle held to the stop for four laps .In the past riders came to the UK to ride the smaller tracks to gain the experience to make them a more complete rider .

  14. Looking at comments on the Pboro thread looking likely Ritchie Worrall going to be available it’s opportunity to dump KK

  15. He would have been allowed before the season had started, but he didn't come up with what he promised. You would have had a different team if he had put up what he had promised.Buster wouldn't put up with the burden of losing a lot of money just on promises. Put it simply,if I promised you say £30,000 to buy a new car and I give you £3,000 to start.Would you go out and buy that car straight away?Or would you think hang on I want the other £27,000 before I get the car or I will be left in the sh!t.It's not that hard to work out.Why would you want a huge financial burden on my promise. Only an idiot would by that new car wouldn't they?

  17. You have to be skilled to be good there and pass people, not just have a fast bike. Some do it well, others flounder.

  18. Season ticket holders could get a refund for the matches they miss.. Sponsors are fans so I am sure will accept the odd missed meeting, and on the plus side, would now sponsor a team in a a sport with credibility that doesnt allow for any "strange" call offs like we seem to get from time to time, meaning also that their brand wouldn't be impacted by being associated to something that can be regarded as "a bit Mickey Mouse" when it comes to governance, integrity and credibility.. And maybe riders would be more inclined to ride on those 50/50 nights which currently see meetings getting called off more often than not, thus the fans feel a bit more confident on attending when all isnt "perfect"... Only being given a point for a draw would certainly focus the attention of the promoters to try anything and everything to get the meeting on I would think..

  19. As far as I understand it, Bomber didn't guest for Scotty because Scotty hadn't ridden a meeting for Wolves. Instead, he guested for Boris, sorry, Luke Becker, who had also not ridden a meeting for Wolves. As they used to say back in the day, "Confused? You won't be, after this episode of Soap"

  22. Touche Being there that night in 2017 is something I'll never forget, while part of me agrees that bygones should let be bygones I'm not sure I'd pay to watch a meeting with Holder or Batchelor in it ever again let alone employ them as riders if I owned a club.

  23. "Seems perfectly legal" Let's face it, both of these situations are the sort of thing that Morris should be sorting out.

  28. The list is inaccurate as it's also showing Troy Batchelor

  29. If you go on the scb website you can see a list of every rider registered to ride British speedway. Pedersen is no longer on the list so that definitely proves he’s gone, just keep your eye on the list when it next updates and you should find out if pboro have signed anyone

  30. Ben is a talented and very exciting racer but around Ashfield he often rides like a lunatic, sometimes even trying to put himself into the fence. I can understand Cookie's anger as he had to take a lot of evasive action to avoid his front wheel being taken from under him on the third/fourth bend but it's Kyle i feel sorry for because that could have been a much nastier crash for him. He went over on his neck and was extremely lucky not to leave the track injured so a lot credit should come his way for coming out for the re-run.

  31. They only need to be 4th from bottom come play off time... Then they can bring Lambo/#aceslegend back to retain their title so deservedly, and fairly, won last year...

  32. Track was perfect up until heat 10 when rain started falling heavily. So no excuses at all for Belle Vue riders.

  34. Fairy Nuff didn’t see yesterdays update. That would make Peterborough a different proposition altogether. Think we’ve stolen an advantage over others here getting the win before the changes, because nobody else will be winning at the Showground. Tungate maybe ropey on some away tracks, but he’s very good around Peterborough. Louis will be delighted, the loan fee will help pay some of Emil’s wages

  35. It's Monbore. It's what it serves up. No surprise to read yet again of a garbage meeting with not one single moment of excitement. When will someone do something about that place?!

  38. I did attend Sheffield on a regular basis for a season or two, a little while ago, you understand. They had a rider back then who wasn't everyone's cup of tea. But my memories of his 4th lap, 4th bend sweeps will live with me forever. Maybe it was his neck scarf, which although almost universal back in day, had then fallen from use. I'm sure some of you will know who I'm referring to.

  39. I confess I have never thought of Sheffield as being a wide track. I would imagine the air fence has narrowed it a bit more compared to the upright engined days

  40. FOLLOWING incidents at the Sheffield v Kings Lynn fixture (April 6) involving Sheffield’s Lewis Kerr, and at the Glasgow v Edinburgh fixture (April 9) involving Glasgow’s Benjamin Basso, it has been reported to the Speedway Control Bureau that both riders had breached the Speedway Regulation 018.2 g).This regulation reads as follows:BREACH OF RULESg) Any act which is violent, threatening or abusive nature to an official, rider or any other person. The SCB, having viewed the footage from both incidents, have issued both Mr Kerr and Mr Basso with a cash penalty, and both riders have been warned of their future actions.Mr Kerr and Mr Basso have 28 days to pay their cash penalties as of April 11, 2023.

  42. Can’t see Lidsey being a heat leader he is same level as Brennan over here You had to break up a title winning side but you have lost Fricke(Lambert) Zagar and Etheridge and replaced with Bewley, Lidsey and Mulford … makes you much weaker

  43. That's great if true. He might be a good sponsor. But he's not the owner and he hasn't delivered what the said he would, and he f$$ked up Holder which Buster is getting the blame for imho.. Buy the club.... Buster certainly hasn't splashed the cash at Lynn thats for sure. Swap it around, if you was a Lynn fan what would you think??

  45. I think that there is no doubt that if all matches that are called off delivered a point a piece draw, with no restaging, that there would be a hell of lot less call offs...
