Maybe to help out his mate Buster who was left without a no 1. Once he had ridden for the club guests could then be used when he "gave up". On arriving at the Purplecats, he maybe realised all was not well so the crash on a poorly prepared track then gave Nicki / Buster the ideal opportunity needed to leave, all be it quicker than 1st planned. MT silence on the matter speaks volumes imo....4 points

I also think the BSN have done a good job reporting on it and making abit of a story about that. You get nothing of the sorts from the BSPL site and the speedway star.3 points

Ice Hockey thrives on such incidents... In the US they became very focused on losing that image until they got a fan backlash, with the fans wanting such fights to happen, as it added to the spectacle and the intensity of the rivalries.. Speedway clubs willingly share riders with each other virtually every night so making the sport one that generates passionate rivalry will naturally be difficult to achieve, therefore a bit of personal rivalry can add to it..3 points

Oh you are very welcome (said she sarcastically) Thanks for ignoring my reply telling you I could not do so and suggesting you contact Phil3 points

I’d have him in the team over a journeyman like cook any day of the week2 points

No one in double figures for the Aces.. A very solid team effort... Rowe will have the beating of most No7's, so worth a permanent spot I would say.. Mulford can then develop via the Championship and NDL..2 points

That's got BV's season going then. Good performances all down the order. Special shout out to Anders Rowe who looks a decent addition in the RS position - can he replace Mulford permanenty?2 points

Don't mind any option to keep Panthers going, but I'm not prepared to line Busters pockets if we are finished after this season, & a lot more fans will probably feel the same.2 points

I didn't have one in those days and rode everywhere. Bradford and back in a day was the longest journey to speedway for me, 4 hours each way. Always been a biker but got a car when I got a wife2 points

Considering so many teams promoters were not impressed when Plymouth did it last season, I am surprised they haven't changed the ruling on it.2 points

Weather the home team covers the cost of all riders !! Who covers the cost of the away support.. fans out of pocket again & we wonder why our beloved sport is on the downward spiral in the UK .. but thats the great British weather tho2 points

Buster and Peterborough are the victims in this case. I actually feel sorry for Buster and the fans on this one. I must of took a fair bit of work to get him over, and for fook all2 points

I wasn’t. Didn’t buy in to the nonsense pre meeting. The way Ipswich are built you can’t miss a solid middle order rider when you have a tail like Ipswich have. R/R is a tall order. I still thought we might win the meeting mind you but it wasn’t to be. Despite early season wobbles Belle Vue are a good side which everyone said they were. They’ll have riders that will improve even more than they showed tonight. Play off certainties.1 point

Worrall did all that he could in that first home meeting considering he faced Doyle and Emil in 2 of his rides, i made that point at the time. Glad he had a good night tonight1 point

I suspect this won't be the first time that Ipswich are caught with their heads down due to their weak bottom end. As soon as one of the top 2 get beat it's a massive result.1 point

To be honest the worst thing Lynn ever did was to to leave the second tier of racing. Times have been sh.t ever since.seen some cracking races then, just as equal to the top tier if not better.1 point

Yes you can pay on card at the ticket office and their isnt a surcharge. You just pay face value. I have just checked this with Jen the General Manager.1 point

What jars me off is tracks are not permitted near housing estates for noise levels yet housing estates are near airports where noise levels are extreme. Nothing said about that1 point

I know I'll get shot down for this but that statement has made me not even bother going anymore..the Pedersen thing is lies and a farce and it's like they've heard all the moaning and thrown their toys out the pram by saying we are done...that's how I see it anyway..1 point

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the holder situation, you would have to think after investing a load of money into the club and getting holder lined up to then have that vetoed, followed by his replacement calling it quits after not completing a lap, MT couldn’t really be blamed for walking away.1 point

Don't take it personally, it's the sport in general that's run in a way that stuck in a bygone era that I'm losing interest in. You'll have seen that in the way that I wrote that comment. I ought to be one of the oldest people in the stadium when I visit a sporting event, and yet at any speedway meeting in Britain, I'm usually in the youngest 10-20%. That should never be right. And sadly, I see little or no effort being made to change that. That said, and as you raised the web site for no apparent reason, the fact that the Brummies now have as a partner, the very person who flicked the switch to shut down the Brummnies web site from his position in the commentary box, on instructions of the sport's establishment, on the day of the play-off's final, is the sort of irony that you couldn't make up.1 point

Well said, unfortunately people don't understand mental health issues, I don't condone what Craig said but as a mental health nurse, I am aware that things can be said and done that people don't have the same control over. Mental health issues are very complex, there is often increased anger and frustration which people find difficult to deal with.1 point
