Really? You or he may not be aware, but we’re living in a cost of living crisis where people are struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table. 20 odd quid maybe peanuts to some, but for others it’s a lot to fork out every other week. There’ll be die hard supporters out there who live for their speedway, who will make sacrifices and go without certain things to go and support their club and then you get absolute pr!cks like Johnson talking down to those people like they’re something he’s stepped in!? Thick as pig sh!t is being kind!! Look at the dross the supporters have been dished up with this year I’d say they’re more than entitled to voice their disapproval without have to clean the ‘kin bogs and put up the air fences!8 points

Not known for my sheep like qualities or supportive nature regarding club management but I've seen it all before as it comes from both sides. He wasn't having a go at those fans and made it quite clear " We as a promotion appreciate everyone that turns up week in and week out to watch and pay with their hard earned money and again without them we wouldn’t have a club." They all kick back when poked. Here's some for you - assume that you'd say the same to them but you get the picture? ALL Coventry supporters are invited to a special Fans Forum in the Under-stand bar at Brandon with promoter Mick Horton THIS FRIDAY at 7.30pm. Mick said: "This is a chance for all Coventry supporters to have their say - and that includes the so-called fans who hide behind keyboards on forums. "I am aware that this may be tough after our results this season, especially on Monday, but I will answer the questions and I want to put all fans' unrest to bed once and for all." (Perhaps he's not the best example ) RICK FROST labelled some of the club’s biggest critics ‘worthless’. Attacking the fans who slaughter the club on the forum section of Panthers’ official website, he said: “The ‘keyboard warriors’ are sad people with big mouths and empty pockets. They are worthless. “We have fantastic supporters on the whole but the keyboard warriors just criticise us at every opportunity yet none of them were prepared to come to a fans’ forum and discuss things face-to-face. “We try to be honest with the fans and we’re prepared to listen to constructive criticism but I’ve no time for them.” I simply can't understand why so many speedway supporters and especially the keyboard Internet warriors, appear to be so negative about our sport and our clubs. Bratters Panthers programme introduction April 16 2009 - And that's Bratters being nice. You wouldn't want the PM you'd get in response to your post! "Us Peterborough fans know you (Ged Rathbone) and Trevor are doing you're upmost to keep Panthers going and we all appreciate it very much ......Ignore the saddo's Ged you are doing a great job" "Don't read the forums Ged, I got involved in a row with someone last year on it, true panthers fans will support you guys and know that you're doing all you can. The forums are full of muppets who don't know what they're talking about!" - - : Gerard Rathbone said: "They are entitled to their opinion just wish they would come and help us I'm happy to listen to all ideas" "Everyone can have an opinion I just find it quite aggressive sometimes, if they came to the forum they could have had their say then..." What always leads here though is lack of "clarity and communication" speedway's longstanding problem! - on that I think that we can all agree.6 points

Think you are the only one that can interpret that post as gloating. Its actually a sad indictment regards to yourself that you can come to that conclusion.4 points

The annoying thing is he's actually been our best rider at home this season. When he's good, he's very good. When he's not, well let's just leave it there.....3 points

But they do have 6 fingers on each hand,,, so can probably text quicker than a normal human3 points

To be fair we’re the mighty Witches so we deserve two threads. Lynn should count themselves lucky to get one3 points

Probably a condolence page is not the place for a critique, but arguably the architect of the 'them-and-us' division between the BL and NL that arguably did not serve the sport well in the long term. Nor the 're-merger' of the BL and NL as a vehicle to get Poole back into the top league at a lower cost. I'm sure there are different sides to the argument that are both valid though.3 points

Interesting that you'd come on here to advertise your podcast (which is excellent by the way) only to slag us off on it... thanks! "Only in Speedway!"3 points

Yeah exactly, unless you’ve been down and cleaned the air fence and toilets then shut up, keep your opinion to yourself! Fans ey… who’d have them?3 points

Morris is already reviewing his set up for his next Foxhall visit. Putting glue on his a*se will be the first priority!2 points

That’s the problem now. If he’s going to be out for a long period then cut your losses for this season with josh. If it’s only a few weeks away again then it’s best to keep him and go with guests for a bit longer2 points

Sam Jensen I've always thought would end up back in UK. Track like scunnys I'm sure would suit him2 points

Daft for him to risk it tonight, clearly hasn't had a practice. If they didn't think he would be able to last the distance tonight they should have booked a guest. What a shambles of a season this has been once again.2 points

Yet Jack Smith frequently says in interviews he's looking for a Champ (or even Prem) team spot. He'd certainly have a better chance of he can score double figures home & away.2 points

Wow! You keep up with the news, three of them have retired some time ago and two only ride for fun.2 points

I actually don't think Steve is arrogant but us soft southerners can't cope with his or anyone north's bluntness2 points
-
Don't think he particularly like being no.1 either Stevie, sure he's said in the past he prefers number 3. I'd imagine if/ when Richard goes to no.1 will see an improvement2 points

I have been watching Danny King race for a very long time and he is a genuine nice guy who always races fairly and I would have him back in my team in a heartbeat, unfortunately I don't make those decisions . Most at Poole would say much the same about Steve Worrall but the trouble with Steve is, it seems he has a tendency to be a bit arrogant which isn't a trait I particularly like, like the other day when interviewed on BSN and said about our trophy cabinet being full and we will need another one, it is just that type of comment I don't like even if it was tongue in cheek but of course while he rides for my team he has my full support. I am not worried about any of our team who doesn't win races they probably should at this time of year as long as come good later in the year so. I am sure Steve will sort out his inconsistent form and get back to the form we know he is capable of.2 points

Indeed... I believe his leg has almost fully grown back already...2 points

I assume you mean these two @hagonshocker . I just roll my eyes at it now. I think most Poole fans do as well, we are well used to it!2 points

I really don't understand all of this hate for Steve? Aye, he might not be going through a good patch at the minute but he's still a hell of a rider on his day, he has experience on all of the tracks, he's the captain and who the hell else are ya gonna bring in on that average who will do better? He's doing good for Wolverhampton and this is probably the lowest his form has been for years in the Championship... He'll come good and start riding like the Steve of last year again I'm sure of it... Poole has an incredibly strong side right the way through the 1-7 so I don't think they should worry too much about his slight lack of form as of late. From his days at Newcastle he was one of the leagues best and I was gutted to see him leave, I would have had him as my number 1 every single time.2 points

People should simply disregard anything Carl Johnson says and not get too hung up about it. The bloke is as thick as pig sh!t.2 points

Was out tonight so couldn't watch the stream and well done to Scunthorpe for pushing the pirates all the way not such a cakewalk some thought it would be but if Tom Brennan allegedly didn't answer his phone maybe he didn't want to drive to Poole and earn a few quid ?2 points

It could actually be a blessing if Birmingham go with Sundays, I personally think the attendances would improve, as for Bank Holidays the BSPL going with fixed race days cream crackered a potential money spinner for some Championship Clubs, which is all the more annoying when Bank holidays come around and their are only 1 or 2 fixtures, Speedway simply needs to be more fan friendly, the local derby Cradley v Coventry on Bank holiday monday with the return on the same day that,s the type of planning needed.2 points

He’s got a point. Someone on the internet once told me Klindt was a No 1 and I certainly don’t believe that2 points

7 weeks yes that’s 7 weeks since the Tigers last home meeting, going to be like starting the season again with not much idea of how the track will react (stocks have been on the track a few times since last meeting). For Sheffield you know what you’re generally getting from Holder and Museliak around Owlerton in points and excitement, Howarth has been scoring well bar the blip at Leicester on Monday and sure he’ll be back to his all action full commitment riding, Ellis is a concern as not getting out of the starts, looks slow when he does get out being passed on a few occasions in the two previous home meetings when having a decent lead and this has been the case since start of last season, then there’s Bellego, can score power points at home but does that outweigh his absolutely abysmal away form? The two boys down at reserve won’t have it easy, Gilkes v Edwards should be just as good as Kerr v Pickering, with Kerr as always wanting to put on a show against his previous employers As for Lynn, Klindt can fly around Owlerton but could also go 3,0,3,0,0, Kasperzak was atrocious on his previous visit so surely he can’t be that bad again, Jorgensen and Palm-Toft both know the fastest way around there too (one usually high and wide and the other kerb crawling), then there’s Jakobsen when at reserve on his last visits he never pulled up any trees, could just be Owlerton shape just isn’t for him (like Bellego and rest of UK tracks!!), a lot of pressure could be on Pickering with 6/7 rides if the main body don’t perform which will be tough on his body after his injury break Result? Think that will be a Sheffield win but not by as bigger margin as it was in the KO Cup in early April, 51-391 point

Had a chat with Simon Lambert before the meeting tonight. I like the guy. Straight talking no BS. I mentioned the online chat he did and he said Kemp was offered a berth but turned it down. Thinks he is above himself and after hearing the rumours of Kemp at Poole last year thinks they are better off without him. I also heard another Championship team offered Kemp a place, but he wanted £10,000 signing on fee or two new bikes that were ready to race. The club passed. A shame as I quite liked Kemp but he ruined his reputation very badly after the shenanigans of the second leg of the playoff final last year when he acted appallingly after getting outwitted in heat 14 at Kings Lynn. He should have taken his defeat in that heat in good grace and celebrated with the team. Instead he had to be dragged out to the center green. Totally pissed off Danny Ford at the time.1 point

Given the demise of hundreds of magazines these days I think speedway is lucky to have a quality magazine out there , regardless of paper quality etc....costs must be high for the return in this online era so fair play to them1 point

Oh yeah,,, I forgot about PK,,, he was the mutts nuts Loram and Boyce were also fantastic,, unfortunately we got them both on the last knockings of their careers Some riders do only seem to have one good meeting at certain tracks,,, eg Bobby Miskoviak,,, think it was 21 at lakeside and 17 at Wolves,, or the other way round,,,, never scored that many again if you add all his visits together1 point
