I actually completely disagree, that attitude has led to so many cup finals being held in terrible weather in October / November, so no wonder fans don't take them seriously? By getting the KOC out of the way first it shows it means something to the teams, so hopefully the fans will feel the same way too? Would be great for the BSN final to be completed by July & KOC early too! Plus clubs can advertise themselves as cup winners etc for the rest of the season, usually of you win in your last match - it's forgotten about by next March / April!5 points

It was a very strange reaction from Andersen wasn't it, one moment he was doing wheelies then he looked suicidal then he was smiling spraying the champagne then he looked suicidal again... I think a lot of it was an act on how he thought he should have been seen to react We mustn't forget these are children, i found some of it quite uncomfortable viewing especially the crash between Pedersen and Miller, do we really need to see these kids in tears with TV cameras thrust into their faces? It's borderline child exploitation... just show me the racing5 points

Robert needs to be tougher to go to the next level IMO. Can't just do it with speed, need to slam doors shut and force his way through a few too.4 points

Dreadful decision. Especially with the benefit of TV replays. Referee should be hauled in front of FIM, shown the replays, and asked to explain himself before he referees again.4 points

Just to thank the Birmingham promotion re-the stream for the match. I received an unprompted email indicating the stream had been re-loaded; that I would have a free pass for any meeting; and that if this wasn't satisfactory to contact them. I have watched the stream and despite the lack of Nick Morris there was some excellent racing with Alfie Bowtell showing great skill and more importantly determination - unlike some of his more experienced colleagues. Bomber was superb and every Tiger rode well. There was, quite rightly, a lot of criticism by a number of fans about the stream. Just surprised that so few seem to have acknowledged the offer, which I think is a fair one, by the Birmingham owners. But then again perhaps some of those criticising were just jumping on a bandwagon and hadn't actually paid for the stream?4 points

This is why the rising star system should have been kept in the championship rather than the Premiership, the step up into the main team wouldn't have been so great4 points

Wish the Facenas were running Panthers. Improving the stadium every year, & putting very competitive teams out. Would have a few more trophies if they had a bit more luck with injuries as well, in my opinion.4 points

But if Lambert was there on the inside, Zmarzlik can’t ride through him. Instead left a bike size hole. Pathetic!3 points

The way things are looking I sadly think a few teams will close come the end of the season which would perhaps accelerate the change to two divisions and thus end the stupid doubling up situation. All doubling up has done is Rob fans of seeing riders and their machine operate at 100%. And it's not just at the top level. There are rider doubling up between CL and NDL and their scores show the toll it takes on them. As much as I don't want to see any club fold I do want to see the PL and CL amalgamate for the good of the sport.3 points

Not close since Poole have been in the Championship. Nothing to do with injuries. Poole have always built better teams. More thought required to properly challenge for the title.3 points

Leicester website says (in the report of Batchelor signing as Nick Morris's replacement: "Morris failed to comply with the Alcohol and Doping testing procedure when randomly selected prior to Wednesday’s fixture between Birmingham and Glasgow, and he will be summoned to attend an SCB Disciplinary Court hearing." This implies (to me, at least) he refused to take the test.3 points

Posters, myself included, rarely hesitate to critisize Discovery (no Australian GP, track surfaces etc) but time to say something positive. SGP 3 has been a huge sucess. The competition has been going since 2010, barely noticed by most, but thanks to its rebranding and broadcasting it has become a major event.3 points

Aye…..and one of the longest huffs in creation. Naeb’dy’s askin you to like the Tigers, the Facennas or Cami Davie but you’ve still got to come on here every so often and bleat about them. If you don’t enjoy speedway at Glasgow then why bother, just give up your interest in it. It’s no’ all about winning trophies.3 points

Nowhere better for racing in the UK. Consistently at least the second-best team in the Championship. Constantly improving the stadium and attracting FIM events. Some people talk a lot of bitter rubbish.3 points

It was something special seeing eight riders start a race that required bike and rider stamina, standing on the first and second bends at Foxhall watching riders go for it was awesome. Those were the days and I still think that with the right attitude the sport that create those glory days. It just needs every club to pull together and forget trying to attract the GP stars. Bring back good racing and stop looking over your shoulder to see what the rest of the world/Europe are doing. Screw Europe and the rest and start entertaining your home audience3 points

Surely this topic has run it's course now folks. I hope Artem Laguta remains with us, but of course I fear he won't, as I would imagine he must be expensive. Whether you like or dislike Keith Chapman, he's trying to find a way of keeping our club running beyond this season, and we should be supporting him in those efforts, not slagging him off all the time for what he may, or may not have been doing to our liking in the past, and even now. It's obvious that he's buying time whilst he can find a buyer for the speedway club instead of taking the easy way out, and withdrawing us from the league. So surely he deserves the support of all true King's Lynn fans to encourage him, whilst the search continues. It's a terrible shame that Alex had to leave due to his personal situation at the moment, even though his departure was ill timed, but we can't change what has happened, we can only encourage what might happen going forward. It almost happened once (by fans). There was a crash and Nicki P was blamed. Problem was though that Nicki didnt even ride in that heat.2 points

It is.Imo though they should not do any qualifying etc at the same track on the same day, this can't help with getting a track prepared for better racing.2 points

Yes, your memory serves you well. Although the finals were not shown live in full, there was coverage on BBC television on 22/09/49 from 21.30 until 22.10; on 21/09/50 from 21.30 until 22.00; then from 21.00 until 22.00 on 20/09/51, 18/09/52, 17/09/53, and 16/09/54; from 21.15 until 22.00 on 15/09/55; from 21.00 until 22.00 on 22/09/56 and 21/09/57. There were reports in the Sport Special programme on 20/09/58 (22.15-22.45), 19/09/59 (22.50-23.20) and 17/09/60 (22.00-22.40).2 points

Whilst everybody is trying to be diplomatic and trying not to judge until all the facts are known, the bottom line is he is guilty and its just the severity of the overall outcome that is to be decided. I have little sympathy for him whatever the outcome as its all his own undoing. The Lions have been swift to replace him and I just hope that Birmingham can come up with something because neither of his teams deserved this.2 points

It's a statement isn't it, it's saying look we're big time, don't look at the events we hold in forests in the middle of nowhere, this is big event, big stadium stuff, get the fans into this and they may be more inclined to travel to the arse end of Germany to have a look at what's going on there... it's basic marketing stuff2 points

I would expect them to say they are very concerned about the accusation and the ban handed out. They will now be speaking with the SCB to find out exactly what the ruling means and clarification on how long Nick Morris could likely be banned for and off the back of this they will then look at any decisions that need to be made with the team. They should absolutely want to distance themself from anybody not playing by the correct rules and criteria and will wait for the outcome of the SCB hearing but remain committed to fielding the best team possible on track at their next match and beyond…. That’s what I would expect and hope for, something along those lines - not silence.2 points
-
What would you expect them to say? The issue occurred when Morris was riding for another promotion & the SCB statement covers all of the salient points including that the next step will be Morris attending a SCB hearing. Until the outcome of that hearing is known the only comments the Lions could make would be either judgmental or prejudicial to the case in question.2 points

I don't think he's ever denied his allegiances towards Australia has he? He literally spends all winter in Australia guiding a lot of these kids - yet you expect him to give his money to a British kid he's never worked with before?2 points
