Seriously? I have just had a look and would put it at decent to good. Nothing more than that. Glasgow Tigers 1 - Chris Harris (9.07) 2 - Ashton Boughen (5.03) 3 - Dan Thompson (7.36) 4 - Leon Flint (6.68) 5 - Kyle Howarth (7.27) 6 - Freddy Hodder (2.00) 7 - Max Perry (2.00) Total Average: 39.41 Harris is solid but now getting to an age where it’s difficult to maintain. Blistering races and defending in third. Boughen is a rocket in front and a slug at the back. Think he has potential but needs to get over some issues. Offered big money to ride for Glasgow. Dan Thompson a very good signing I would have liked to have seen him at Poole. Heard on Thursday night the money he is getting at Glasgow is far, far beyond what any other club could and would offer. Leon Flint hasn’t improved as expected. Seems to have stagnated in the last couple of seasons. Might be a good rider in there somewhere though. Kyle Howarth is a decent third heat leader. Fast gater. Can go AWOL away from his home track and no improvement in his average. Hodder and Perry are weak reserves. Will pick up the occasional win or second place. I think Glasgow will make the playoffs this year. I am guessing they are going to try to be invincible at home with big wins to get aggregate wins. Improvements in Boughen and Thompson. The others to maintain their averages. Nothing to fear for Poole. Just competition.4 points

Indeed, All The Very Best To All In Speedway For 2025. And (don't wanna preach to ya people, no, no, no) but if at all possible: attend your local track, and also others, or subscribe to the BSN or club feed, buy a programme & maybe club merch & also buy the Speedway Star. Discuss, criticise & complain, and also praise, (as we all love to do) by all means but try to support speedway in general. 'East Yorkshire based nutshell': when Hull closed at the Boulevard end of 1981 there were 2 divisions each of 18 teams (36 in total) with prob a few 'inactive but possible to re-open' tracks. End of 2024 we have a total of 16 +/- in the entire country, allbeit with a few 'inactive but possible to re-open', Bradford, Buxton, Coventry (hopefully) & Mildenhall immediately spring to mind. Don't think I need to draw pictures, but try to Support Speedway in 2025....4 points

You and Bobby always good for a laugh with your "we know what money they're on" chat. In fairness only 1 fan getting carried away. As most of the Glasgow thread will say, happy with the side, better than last season but an obvious potential weakness. Howarth I'd think only 1 I'd disagree with, without the burden of number 1 expect to see bit of improvement. As with Leicester when was a strong top 3 his best season of recent times3 points

Glasgows lineup is decent but not much more. Howling gaping cavern at reserve, plus Flint not done much. If one of the top 5 have an off night there’s no scoring reserve to bring in. Teams with two weak reserves don’t win much.2 points

When a fan of the league champions feels the need to dissect your line-up, one by one and in detail, in his own team’s topic, then you know you’ve got them on toast.2 points

I see lots of people without a programme, and if my Wife comes with me, we only buy one programme, so putting the price up even higher (perhaps by £3) to include a programme is not a good idea in my opinion.2 points

Wouldn’t disagree Rowe has really improved as shown when he joined us , but you can never tell for sure maybe something will just click with Leon. He certainly improved especially at home towards the end off the season.2 points

You’re entitled to your opinion, but we’re going win the league and if you can keep up, we’ll do it again at Wimborne Road.2 points

Howarth will add a point to his average riding for Glasgow next season, had too many meeting for Scunthorpe having 6 rides (covering for MPT) which always makes it hard to maintain average. The track will suit him more than Scunthorpe which was hard on bikes with all the holes and bumps in it. Was told he cracked 3 frames in home meetings due to roughness of the track which shouldn’t be the case at Glasgow. I believe that they have got him on a bargain average2 points
-
Fair enough your opinion. Flint I agree with he was inconsistent but to progress himself he needed to move from his comfort zone.2 points

We are fine thanks, not at all disheartened by the Glasgow team, time will tell if having a very top heavy team is the way to go, personally think a more balanced team is better.2 points

You can't get a gp rider on a 4 point average which is apparently what Kildermand will come in on. Time will tell but if he is a 4 pointer then that should be a good signing.2 points
-
Kildemand defo worth the punt if he's on a 4.50/5.00. Not the same rider he was but at least you're getting more than 2 points off of his last GSA on these shores.2 points

Sam Masters, Richard Lawson & Charles Wright are the only 3 riders, who had a higher away average than Harris, who will be riding in the Champ this season. Even if you believe Harris was poor away last season (I don't) he'll be better this year because more top riders have left the Champ.2 points

Kildemand is a great signing, if the year was 2010. Oxford need to tempt Laguta over, this team is going to fail massively without Artem's big scores.2 points

Can I just thank Mr Blobby and Gazc for the best bit of banter on this site in a long time. It just brought a big smile to my face. I hope this is not reported as a "hate crime". They are that good they should be on the stage.... there is a one leaving in 5 mins.2 points

It’ll be interesting to see how Mulford does in a second string role. I personally can see him taking some time to adapt. Hope it goes well for the lad. Redcar have a solid team there and can definitely see play offs for them. Erik Riss is a game changer!1 point

That’s a decent Team.Edwards,Mulford and Pijper are all capable of improving in this League.Riss is the key to good season IMO.1 point

Kildemand was going to be a 7.10 for King's Lynn in 2022 so that should remain imo1 point

I’d be surprised if he wasn’t. Where has that observation come from? Flint essentially operated as our second heat leader for the majority of last season. This coming season, he’ll start as our fourth rider and even at that, he could easily become our fifth rider… and still have had a good season. I honestly fear for other sides next season. Glasgow have put together one hell of a side.1 point

Has he not sure how you work that out, our heat leaders have averages close to yours and our reserves are much better.1 point

So going by this appraisal there is now no point turning up. Howarth is piss Flint is poor our reserves are crap and Boughen is also poor. Now as we know Poole fans cannot see beyond there superstars. Thanks for your ultra positive input but I think I will wait to they actually start the season and then write everyone off with the exception of you know who.1 point

I'm only really commenting from what I see on socials... and all of the 3 I mentioned have quite regular updates, with news on council meetings, petitions to sign etc. and I don't even follow the Swindon and Arena campaigns and they still find their way to my attention, you can add Peterborough to that list as well (and Rye House)... Wolves on the other hand, nothing, there doesn't seem to be any "champion" co-ordinating things, not from an outsider looking in.1 point

If anybody really thinks Jack Holder is better than Brady Kurtz then they are mad…they cannot have watched much of Kurtz lately1 point

Anyone who rode NDL this year is eligible for the NDL in 2025, but a team can only use one rider who has a CL average over 4.00, so Kent couldn't track both Morley and Ablitt as both have CL averages over 4.00.1 point

In that case, I can see why you thought it was a poor signing. I wouldn't have fancied him on a 7 ave myself.1 point

Delighted with that team. Statistically the two most improved riders in the Championship last season in Boughen and Thompson. I don’t rate Flint, but he has a second chance here and with one season under his belt, will hopefully kick-on. Hodder’s 6+2 from four while guesting in the last home fixture of the season speaks volumes for his potential. Nothing needs to be said about Harris. We’re favourites for this league title. It’s coming home.1 point

Poole fans will again be looking forward to our trips to Cowley in 2025. Like Poole they have had to weaken down but other than Masters they will be wanting in certain heats. The Masters/Nicholls combination in 13 and 15 was a serious threat to any side but not next year unless one of the others really steps up. The joys of the more successful clubs having to get under the following years points limit.1 point

Yes I remember those and he did something in a international meeting with a fan I think, maybe a nations cup not sure. Never been a favourite of mine, dont like his attitude especially towards fans of other teams.1 point
