  12. If Emil and Jason had ridden, there would be those that would argue that they should have given the youngsters a chance. Some just like to troll and be argumentative.

  13. You’re correct. It’s a Gypo site with the worst track prep in UK Speedway. I’m less than an hour away but wouldn’t cross the road to watch a meeting at KL.

  17. It is what it is track wise Steve Around a football pitch it bit restricted and even after track was widened Crowds been great this season though Derby fixs and it's a real bonus to a place which I think has population of only 12000 Okay there fair catchment area support Problem seems fairly around in speedway these days with gate and go Okay there are exceptions and Scunthorpe and Redcar are couple to name two but lots riders don't like the stock car fence at Scunthorpe but again it is what it is.

  18. They know when they sign for Pirates it’s 100% effort. If riders fail to do their job, they know what will happen. Always been that way since Matt took over the club 25 years ago.

  20. Not sold on Zischke at all personally. Seems to be a one trick pony. His home average around Workington was excellent, his away average not so much. The NSS suits him also so I can definitely see him picking up around there, but he seems to like a certain type of track, and looks lost on the rest especially in the top flight. May seem harsh as he’s young and hasn’t yet been given a fair crack of the whip so we’ll see, but I’m far from convinced. Take your point on Rowe, don’t think anyone expects him to carry on the way he’s started the season and shouldn’t be expected to, but he certainly looks as though he’ll improve again on last year and continue his progression. Sheffield look the better bet to me but as ever the proof will be in the pudding.

  23. Think you will find when they had heat 15 highest scorers race that programmed rides including bonus points counting to who could ride in that heat so if someone scored 7+4 and someone scored 10+0 the former was a higher scorer, the same as for the Billy Sanders memorial. So put a end to all this drivel as this was to remember a great man.

  24. Can’t believe Sheffield are being so easily discounted not just you, but by a few. Two top heatleaders and a third heatleaders in excellent form, an ever improving Rowe on an upward trajectory and now more strength at reserve too. The upcoming meetings between them and Belle Vue will give us a better idea of where they’re at. Belle Vue have too many weak links for me and are terrible at reserve.

  30. Funny how Jepsen Jensen doesn’t ride in it and no explanation but that’s ok And it’s not ok for Doyle not to do it with a bashed up body and bike but it seems fine that Jeppesen and Rew can miss out because they slightly under the weather …. Honestly some fans are hilarious

  31. Another thick idiot has piped up Was clearly explained it was points plus bonus points from the 4 programmed rides… understand that??? There was no emphasis on bonus points being worth less or heat wins or any other criteria…. Understand that?? 3 riders King Ellis and Brennan all had 10….. understand that??? This left 3 riders on 9…. Doyle , Emil and Dan T…. Understand that??? The fact that 2 of those got 8 and 1 and one for 7 and 2 is irrelevant… but understand that ??? Doyle didn’t want 2 extra races as he has a nasty crash so he offered to do heat 15….. understand that?? Emil was asked to do heat 15 but couldn’t as he only had 1 bike left and he wasn’t happy with it all night… understand that?? Ive had to put understand that after every line because quite clearly some people in this forum are thick and stupid and can’t read If bonus points didn’t count for then yes one of Doyle or Emil would have rode…… The sheer stupidity of some apparent speedway fans is mind boggling

  32. Why do you need to blame anyone? It's a team sport. Everyone has a bad meeting occasionally. Don't remember you two reacting like this in the playoff final when Tom only got 4 at Oxford. But as you say you don't want Lewi at Poole so it suits I guess. Maybe they should put him at 4 whilst settling in. But shame to split up Zach and Anders partnership which is working well already.

  33. It's all to complicated, How can you get new people interested in a model the exisiting fans don't understand or accept. I think it would be better to have a D, C, B & A final that way points positions from top to bottom would be without question.

  34. For the first time ever, I have zero interest in this year's GP's. The lineup is same old same old, and weak, and the new scoring system is absolutely ridiculous. They have turned it into a clown show...

  35. No riders of a decent standard who aren't here already want to ride here ask Sheffield Oxford and Birmingham are hopeless but other than some lower/middle order tinkering what can they do

  36. Don’t talk rubbish, he’s been dropped nothing to do with getting fit. All you need to do is read Bastians post on his Facebook page, he’s not happy at all. However does work quite well for Berwick to bring smith in as a “28 day replacement” as Kildemand will get a proper average and smith can be replaced by someone with a much higher average.

  42. Would've thought that Dan Thompson/Zack Cook/Anders Rowe are all better options than Kerr....look at Kings Lynn...they call on Tom Brennan, a rider that's better than the one he's replacing! Can understand a weaker/cheaper rider when away from home, but got to try and be as competitive as possible at home!

  43. Have to agree, but it wasn't just down to Kerr having an off night, Zach was hardly on fire either, it was more of a team misfire. If I had to choose a meeting for Poole to lose Gladiators away in the BSN would probably be it.

  44. Boring now you quite clearly just want to argue for arguments sake Bonus points were announced all the way through the meeting You clearly show the format in your post…. It neither states whether bonus points counted or didn’t … the fans were told at the start and all the way through As I said if Doyle and Emil did score higher and didn’t ride you could have a reason to debate it … fact is they didn’t and only 1 of 3 could do it and as told on here Doyle had crashed earlier so offered to do heat 15 instead But I guess in your world you thought the whole crowd must have been upset before heat 1 when told bonus points would count… laughable

  45. To be honest I don’t really care about the second half at all. It’s clear that Doyle and Emil just didn’t fancy it, the meeting preview didn’t mention bonus points but everyone is quick to defend them for some reason. There must be one Ipswich fan that can hold their hand up and admit that they couldn’t be bothered to ride in it without making up excuses for them. bonus points weren’t mentioned at all, until funnily enough the match report. This is the wording from the preview. The format of the second half will be as per the below. Heat 1 RED Ipswich Highest Scorer BLUE Birmingham Third Highest Scorer WHITE Ipswich Fourth Highest Scorer YELLOW Birmingham Second Highest Scorer Heat 2 RED Birmingham Highest Scorer BLUE Ipswich Third Highest Scorer WHITE Birmingham Fourth Highest Scorer YELLOW Ipswich Second Highest Scorer Also find it very ironic that a certain Ipswich fan is the only one name calling yet think they are the victim. Sensitive bunch in Suffolk…

  47. THE next meeting at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park is the British Semi-Final, which takes place on Thursday May 1 (7.30pm). Sixteen riders, including Watling JCB Lions duo Drew Kemp and Dan Gilkes, will be competing in what is sure to be a hard-fought event, with just six qualifying places available for the Final at Belle Vue on May 12. Other Leicester connections in the meeting include Lewis Kerr, Craig Cook, Connor Mountain, Dan and Joe Thompson, Ashton Boughen and Danyon Hume. Kyle Howarth is no longer required to compete as he has stepped up into the list of seeded riders for the British Final, with Richard Lawson not competing in the event. Normal admission and live streaming prices apply for the Semi-Final at Leicester, which will run to a 20-heat format. Season tickets are not valid for this meeting. The draw will be made early next week and posted to our social media channels. As an added bonus for the kids, we have 100 free Easter Eggs held over from last Monday which will be given out to the first 100 children through the gate on the night. RIDER LIST: Lewis Kerr, Craig Cook, Connor Mountain, Dan Thompson, Drew Kemp, Jordan Jenkins, Leon Flint, Jason Edwards, Ben Barker, Simon Lambert, Joe Thompson, Alfie Bowtell, Dan Gilkes, Ashton Boughen, Nathan Ablitt, Danyon Hume. Taken from Leicester website, released on 24th April.

  48. It wasn’t even anything to do with the actual meeting! It was a last minute novelty event to remember a former rider and nobody knew it was even happening until the day before! People are debating the ins and outs of it like it was a crucial GP! Absolutely nuts. If I was Louis I wouldn’t bother in future.

  50. And yet Birmingham are the only team so far to give Ipswich a good run for their money when they met at Perry Barr and if they just get musielak going would be a decent team, quite frankly I think you post is rubbish and while Ipswich and Sheffield are clear favourites I don’t believe the other 2 places are as clear cut as you are implying, belle vue are hot and miss on the road Oxford, Birmingham both have under performing stars in musielak and janowski and Tungate and if they can get them going to the standard they clearly are then the we will see different league table, to me kings Lynn and Leicester are performing to their potential, Birmingham and Oxford are not, that can change
