Very true The new Coventry City football club owner is quoted as saying every championship club loses £10-£15 millions a year. Not really viable is it . lets accentuate the positives FFS. Speedway and stock cars will work at Brandon it was never empty, the average crowd in 2016 for stocks and speedway was just over 2000 as reported in the planning appeal. Not at all. Drop Zagars gtee by 50 quid a meeting and that would pay for a cleaner to clean a few areas. Not rocket science.

If they could get a long lease from the landlord then they would spend more on the track. They would like to widen the track onto the old dog track, but when your landlord won't give you more than 1 year at a time it would be financial suicide to do so.

I make no secret of the fact that I know, or knew in some sad cases, the rugby officials at Derwent Park. And after the history season in 2018 Andrew began making noises about opening Comets at Northside. His first job became the removal of Derwent Park shale, off to the new track. And apparently (?) Andrew dug too deep into the shale and ruined the machinery blade he had hired - costing him approx. £50.000 (I'm only going by what I was told then). By the way to this day you can still see the deep gouges, into the concrete base, on both bends at DP. The work though carried on successfully -thank goodness. I don't know Andrew's line of work but the aforementioned drama must have tested his resolve and I say well done marra for sticking with it. Hopefully the bikes will also be shifting shale again soon at Northside.

He hasn't he's been getting better and better over the last 3 seasons. He's was world class level last year, I'd say he's been at this level for the last 18 months.

He can't be tested that often as he rarely turns up at a meeting.

That's a completely different point. Saying they won't get their money back is completely different to saying they don't have the money in the first place. It's also completely different to saying it won't cover day to day running costs. Many, many sports operations are not profitable yet many, many investors are prepared to invest in them. Why you continue to peddle such negativity, especially in the face of proof to the contrary is a mystery

Why should King's Lynn run at a financial loss by putting out a weakened team? Promoters are trying to run a business that's already non-profitable for most. It's not Buster's fault that a throttle jockey (Ben Cook) cba to show up for a job that he signed up for, No guarantee Jan Kvech would've taken part either due to him being brainwashed by Piotr Baron who thinks he's Mr. Know it all. Potentially 2 Guests needed with Belle Vue v Birmingham and Oxford v Ipswich also taking place on Monday would leave Leicester riders to choose from. Fricke, Masters and Douglas don't fit, Becker is injured and Howarth is guesting for Oxford. So the only Premiership option on the table would be Kemp 4.00 for Cook 6.04 as well as R/R for Kvech if he was a no show which is probably the case otherwise this meeting would've went ahead imo with R/R just in place of Ben Cook. This situation reeks of the Tarasenko situation last year, The last thing we need is anymore British clubs futures being plunged into doubt due to Mickey takers like Ben Cook.

Smederna-Västervik on Tuesday and Västervik-Smederna on Wednesday will be really cracking meetings (i hope) with hopefully two Smederna victories. Just Smederna's lineup and that looks like a really good team.

The Companies House documentation is as conclusive as it can be I fear. I would not post anything that did not come from a reliable source but i have been told by someone well known in Midlands Speedway circles for many years that on Friday morning the BSPL were close to pulling the plug and making riders available for moves. At the 11th hour Workington were able to give enough positive information as to give the BSPL confidence to extend the suspension for a further 7 days. I think it's clear though that new limit may be the final time stamp for something to have happened to resolve the impasse. My understanding is that only a very sizable payment to HMRC; who are the main Creditors seeking to get renumeration here ; and who have massive clout, will ensure recommencement of activity.

Kurtz needs to win all three and as I said earlier Zmarzlik, as long as he makes the final in all three then it's his championship. Kurtz will IMO crumble under the pressure more than Zmarzlik. He knows if he doesn't win every final its over. It's a tall order to win five GPs in a row. Has it ever been done before? If he does, then he without a doubt deserves to be World Champion. Zmarzlik showed tonight, he was no where near the fastest, but he showed what a true champion he is. Not a lot of people would have given him much of a chance of progressing from the LCQ me included, but he proved us all wrong with one of the best overtakes of the season and then went on to get a 2nd in the final and kept the damage down to two pts Whatever the outcome. It's been a fantastic battle between them both And to see Kurtz in his debut year taking to Zmarzlik has been a joy to watch.
