I have never seen as much work put into the track as the last few seasons since covid. I can't think or a better way to make a hole or bump in tightly packed sediment than by passing a heavily nobbled tire rotating at upteen revolutions per second so surely it should be widely accepted that racing will cause bumps, ruts or polished smooth surfaces. if you folks don't like the racing on shale and the conditions that go with it why on earth do you continue to follow the sport. it's so tedious to watch everyone continually harp on about it without a thought for how the continual criticism and snipes affect the morale of everyone involved including the spectators-celebrate it!5 points

I thought it was a well known rule, riders needing to take 3 rides in the first 14 heats (unless injured) how would the ref (& team manager) not know that rule by heart?4 points

Haven’t had a chance to read through the latest, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with Kerr’s move. Dan done exceptionally well to get past Kerr, but Kerr then came down hard, but fair to reclaim the place. What a week for Lynn, and fair bloody play. Superb in both meetings and fully deserved victories.4 points

Did Richie let us go through like he let us win on Monday night?4 points

Ipswich fans were booing Kerr and the referee who walked through ….. Not one Ipswich rider got booed3 points

Deserved win for Kings Lynn over the 2 legs. Shame the drama that could have been a last heat decider what ruined by an absolute embarrassment of a referee. A referee who didn’t even know the rules of programmed rides. It’s like we asked one of the riders relatives to fill in like a Sunday league football match.3 points

Thanks to Brennan and Thompson being rubbish. Bubble Burst3 points

What are you talking about? Why wouldn’t we be able to use Harrison in heat 13, it’s what we should have done3 points

crowds have been really good this year with several regular pboro fans the racing has been good too and many meetings have been done in 90 mins bcd having a senior moment3 points

Does anyone know if Norick is riding for Poznan tonigjht? Has he been included iin their line up?3 points

Well, there's 4 posts claiming he isn't in the Poznan team. None of them specify it has to be the 1-7 or indeed mention any riding number. I tried to help by advising that he was indeed in the team, but it seems to have just angered you for some bizarre reason, rather than informed you. Perhaps a lesson not to try to help some people in future.3 points

Taken from Danyon Hume Racing Hey guys, We are now finally home, it’s been a tough time but the progress Danyon has made is absolutely unbelievable, I’m so proud of him, he is so strong and determined. The battle he went through was tough but we are on the up and the future is looking good. We would all like to thank Sarah Bulman, The Hague Family, Stephen & Becky McNally, Colin Poole, Jamie & Scott Courtney, Graeme Hume, Judith & Ge-off and Margaret & Stevie for all you’ve done whilst Danyon has been in Newcastle Hospital, we wouldn’t have done it without you guys. Also thank you to all the Ambulance Crew on the night, the Berwick fans/management, Danyons teams mates and rest of the speedway family who have been behind Danyon the whole way. Our good friend Emily has kindly set up a Go Fund me page for Danyon, we would like to thank everyone who has donated and everyone who is continuing to do so. Danyon still has a long journey ahead however with his positive mindset and determination he will get through this. Thanks again everyone3 points

The track defo needs a blade on it first before they can really do any work on it. I never seen so many poor track this year Terry who does the track at Poole can only work with what he has got there , when the home riders start asking for track work you know it needs work on it3 points

All you did was repeat what the other poster said, so you're offering nothing to the thread, it doesn't even concern your team but you can't help sticking your oar in with your usual condescending manner, that's trolling. It's obvious you don't possess any self awareness, so you'll probably never understand how annoying you are.3 points

Kerr steamed inside Dan, didn't appear to be contact and there was still room for Dan to turn.. brave call from the ref, but I think the correct one Thought Rob had dropped a rare clanger as I'd have given Luke his 3rd ride in heat 13 to allow Nicolai in heat 14 and more chance of points. As it turns out, it all worked out in the end, nice to put one over the witches for a change... one happy lynn supporter! Good all round team effort. Makes you wonder what could have been with 2 unlucky home defeats earlier in the season and at least 2 if not 3 away matches where we could have won but for our usual injury curse - would have been well in the mix for the playoffs2 points

Heat 14 was literally last chance saloon it should never have got to that!2 points
-
Well done to the stars,, as for heat 14 it's 50 50 for me,, if its your rider you doing what Kerr did it's fine and if its the away rider it's not,,, I can guarantee now if it was Thompson that did it Kerr the Witches fans would be saying hard but fair move.2 points

Dan had nowhere to go, there is hard then there is stupid. Kerr was about 5 bike lengths back and just dive bombed and couldn’t stop in time so Dan took avoiding action. We were crap tonight, apart from Doyle and Emil who were the only ones who knew the assignment by the looks of things! They must be pissed off with the likes of Brennan and Ellis, again we are relying on Emil and Doyle when the whole point was to have a strong ‘team’. Trust a bloody Sheffield rider to ride dirty against Ipswich and take us out! Although saying that, in heat 3 Lawson literally shoulder barged Brennan out of the way when Brennan had more speed and went on the overtake on the back straight. No excuses though, sh!t show from Ipswich from all riders but Emil and Doyle IMO. Hawkins need to have a conversation of a ‘reality check’ if they think we are winning the title like this. It’s boarder like embarrassing losing so many times this season to Lynn and Ellis and Brennan have been the culprits in most of them. The final doesn’t consist of the top three league teams… work that one out haha.2 points

Wow, what a result. I'd go as far as to say result of the last decade. To beat that Ipswich side over 2 legs is an outstanding result. "Let's all laugh at Hawkins, Let's all laugh at Hawkins, LA LAAAA LA LA LA LAAAA LA LA." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣2 points

Well that, was BullS!!!!!!!!!!! What a way to get to the final by dive bombing and sending our rider into the fence2 points

Watching Ben Cook tonight in Poland he does not seem to be having too much trouble riding his bike. Lynn fans are being shafted and that extends to this chap sticking two fingers up at UK speedway. He needs to made an example of and not allowed to ride in the UK for the rest of the season. Most supporters are fed up with people like Ben who treat supporters over here with such disrespect.2 points

If the racing was generally better than 90% of the usual gate and go, and teams actually got on with it and finished the matches in 1.5 hours I’m pretty sure the crowd levels would go up. That’s probably why Buster gets less than 500 most of the time.2 points

By running one league at a lower level isn’t going to cut costs that drastically. Whoever rides in the heat leader role is always going to demand more money for that responsibility. So granted it might be cheaper for an established heat leader versus someone like Emil, Doyle etc however those costs are often offset by sponsors picking up the tab of the big name. Im sure running Speedway isn’t the lucrative product it was in the golden eras of the sport however we live in different times now. speedway isn’t the credible far reaching sport that it used to be. Tracks aren’t closing because of lack of attendances at all. The demand for land and the long standing tie in with Greyhound stadiums is the cause of the closures. Nothing else. speedway has failed to look after its interests as a whole for many many years and hence why we now are in the situation we are in. promoters have for too long used self interest as their primary motivation, Thats why you have to applaud the NSS (which many said would never happen) for what it’s achieved in more recent times and the likes of Workington reopening. with the right backing and promotion the sport can still survive as it is. Council protection can also be vital (and there is a glimmer of hope for Coventry). Thats why keeping 2 leagues is vital because a watered down one level league isn’t going to work and has been pointed out there isn’t enough decent standard riders without the big boys from abroad to fill all team spaces. Let clubs run when they want, give them back some ownership. Or maybe the top flight can have a break away league under NORA and perhaps form a smaller league and join the Polish league like Germany does. Plenty of Brits travel to Poland to watch proper high standard teams perform so it’s not too hard a task to make happen. UK teams could have a squad system for Polish league meetings.2 points

Track prep is very difficult especially when your getting extremely hot temperatures, just putting gallons of water on isn't always the best thing,it's a dark art for sure, does terry still do the track at Wimborne Road?2 points
-
I agree but do you seriously think track men go out of their way to prep tracks like tha? Last night there was a lot of head scratching as to why it went the way it did.2 points
-
Agreed and yet 90% of clubs still make losses so the point is costs along with a multiple of other things show the format isn't working a top team of only 7 clubs with one definately gone and three rumoured under threat of running in the top league speaks volumes around costs/losses. It might well be beyond the point of no return all i'm saying 3k turning up the other week at Poole shows people will still turn up to watch a team of premier league second strings and two point men in numbers so long as that team is put out 90%.2 points
